Andhra CM to embark on six-day visit to Singapore to woo investments
The chief minister is scheduled to leave for Singapore from Hyderabad, according to an official release on Friday.
During the visit, the CM will engage with representatives of leading global companies, business owners, prominent industrialists, and notable personalities.
'Naidu will embark on a six-day visit to Singapore from July 26 to 31, aimed at attracting investments to Andhra Pradesh," the release said.
This visit marks the CM's second foreign visit since the formation of the TDP-led NDA government, following his earlier visit to Davos, Switzerland in January.
Expected to serve as a key platform to promote 'Brand AP (Andhra Pradesh)' and showcase the state's new industrial and ease-of-doing-business policies, Naidu will highlight Andhra Pradesh's robust infrastructure.
He will showcase the southern state's ports, airports, highways, harbours, and water and land resources, including the 1,053-km long coastline and skilled human capital, and urge global investors to explore opportunities in the state.
During his visit, Naidu will hold meetings with CEOs and senior representatives of various companies and on the first day he will participate in a Telugu diaspora meeting.
Further, he will meet with senior dignitaries in Singapore to invite industrialists from the region to the 'Visakhapatnam Investment Summit' scheduled for November this year, the release said.
Naidu will also participate in business roundtable meetings centred on the digital economy and fintech, and attend a dedicated business roadshow in Singapore.
As part of the tour, he will also visit key infrastructure and logistics centres across the city, the release added. PTI STH KH

Delhi: JP Nadda joins veterans in Defence Colony for Mann Ki Baat
BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday led the party's Delhi unit leaders in tuning in to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' radio show in the company of veterans. Nadda listened to the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme at Defence Colony along with Vinod Tawde, Baijayant Jay Panda, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Bansuri Swaraj, and retired army officers at an event coordinated by local MLA Neeraj Basoya. Additionally, the Delhi BJP made arrangements for the public to listen to the programme across 14 organisational districts. Sachdeva stated that PM Modi consistently strives to bring positive stories and initiatives from across the country to the public through Mann Ki Baat. As a result, the programme has now become a people's movement. He added that the way PM Modi highlighted how science in the 21st century is rapidly progressing with renewed energy is commendable. He mentioned the recent success of Indian students at the International Chemistry Olympiad and that students also won three golds, two silvers, and one bronze medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia — a matter of great pride. Elsewhere, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra and Delhi BJP's Organisational General Secretary Pawan Rana listened to the programme in Gharauli, East Delhi, with Mayur Vihar District President Vijendra Dhama and party workers. Earlier, the Delhi BJP President paid tribute to the three civil services aspirants who tragically drowned on July 27, 2024, due to sewer backflow in the basement of a coaching centre in Rajendra Nagar, as well as a student who died from electrocution due to a hanging wire in Patel Nagar. Sachdeva stated that due to criminal negligence and corruption by the Arvind Kejriwal government, no proper cleaning of drains and sewers was carried out in 2024, which led to the untimely deaths of these four talented students – Naveen Dalwin, Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nilesh Rai – along with nearly 50 other citizens of various ages, who died due to drowning in waterlogged areas. The Bharatiya Janata Party had promised in its 2025 election manifesto that it would seriously address the issue of waterlogging, and we are satisfied that our government has managed to keep waterlogging to a minimum. Sachdeva further stated that the BJP-led Delhi government had pledged to prevent the recurrence of such accidents in Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar, Moti Nagar, Burari, Kirari, and other areas. 'We are proud that, unlike last year when over 50 lives were lost due to waterlogging in Delhi, no such incidents occurred this year due to the vigilance and preparedness of the government,' he said.

Lokesh appeals to Telugu diaspora to invest in Andhra Pradesh and contribute to its growth
Minister of IT and HRD Nara Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) would undergo a dramatic transformation if a sizable chunk of the investments flowing into India from Singapore come to the State, and that the A.P. Government would extend all possible support to the Telugu diaspora living in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia, who were keen on investing in the State, and contributing to preservation of Telugu language, culture, and traditions. Participating in a meeting of the Telugu Diaspora from South-East Asia organised by the A.P. Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) and the A.P. Economic Development Board (APEDB) in Singapore on Sunday, Mr. Lokesh said A.P. was destroyed during the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) rule, and the present NDA Government was rebuilding the State amidst heavy odds under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, whose reputation was a big advantage. He highlighted the investment opportunities in A.P., and asserted that the APEDB would extend the necessary hand-holding to Telugu entrepreneurs coming forward to partner with the government of their home State. He said A.P. was following Singapore as a role model in implementing new policies, with focus on 'speed-of-doing business' and it needed the cooperation of the Telugu people in realising Mr. Naidu's vision. 'A.P. has over 1,000 km of coastline, a string of seaports and airports, highways, waterways, land, and connectivity, which make it an ideal place to invest. Also, the State has a rich talent pool,' he said. 'One capital — decentralised development' was the coalition government's slogan, in tune with which industries were being promoted in all the regions of the State, and due priority was given to the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Mr. Lokesh added.
