A section of a Manitoba highway is closed on Tuesday morning following a car crash involving a pedestrian.
Highway 1 westbound from McGuckin Road to Manitoba Street in Headingley is closed.
Mounties confirmed a collision in this area but would not provide any further information.
More details are expected later on Tuesday.

Jury begins deliberations in trial of man accused of murdering rapper Pat Stay
The jury has begun deliberating in the murder trial of the man accused of killing battle rapper Pat Stay in 2022. Justice Scott Norton delivered his final instructions to the jury Tuesday morning. The jury started deliberations around 2:10 p.m. Adam Drake has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. His trial has sat over the span of six weeks. Drake is accused of stabbing Stay at the Yacht Club Social, a former nightclub on Lower Water Street in Halifax, around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2022. Stay was pronounced dead at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre less than an hour later. Senior man, dog found dead after N.S. house fire

Police and fire services responded to the structure fire on West Head Road around 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, according to an RCMP news release. The sole occupant and the dog were pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing, but at this time the cause of the fire is not considered to be suspicious. Pedestrian hit and killed on Manitoba highway Tuesday morning
A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning when he was struck by a truck on the Trans-Canada Highway in Headingley. Around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Headingley RCMP received a report of a fatal collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian. A pickup truck was travelling west on Highway 1, near McGuckin Road in Headingley, when it hit a pedestrian who was walking on the highway, police said. The pedestrian, a 67-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 52-year-old woman from Winnipeg, was not injured. Headingley RCMP, along with a forensic collision reconstructionist, continue to investigate the crash.
