
talabat honoured for 'Together for Gaza & Lebanon' campaigns at Qatar CSR Awards 2025
talabat, the leading on-demand delivery platform in the MENA region, has been recognized as a winner of the Qatar CSR Awards 2025, following its successful participation as a sponsor of the Qatar CSR Summit, hosted by Qatar University from 28 to 30 April.
At the gala held on 30 April, talabat was honored with the CSR award in recognition of its long-standing commitment to sustainability and social responsibility across its operations.
The award was given in acknowledgement of key initiatives such as the ' Together for Gaza ' and 'Together for Lebanon' campaigns, launched in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), which raised 1.1 million QAR in November 2024. Earlier in August 2024, talabat also collaborated with Qatari brand Freshqa to launch an exclusive 'watermelon and feta cheese' product on talabat mart, with 100% of proceeds donated to Gaza via QRCS. These efforts further solidify talabat's role as a trusted partner in emergency relief and humanitarian support.
Commenting on the award, Francisco Miguel De Sousa, Managing Director of talabat Qatar, stated:

As part of the summit program, Mariam Hammad, Director of Logistics at talabat Qatar, also delivered an engaging presentation on the role of electric vehicles in advancing CSR within food delivery, highlighting talabat's ongoing efforts.

Qatar, Argentina seek to boost trade beyond QR366 million

Al-Ahbabi also highlighted the presence of nine Argentine companies registered with Qatar Chamber and operating in the Qatari market in partnership with Qatari firms. He affirmed that Qatar Chamber welcomes Argentine companies interested in investing in Qatar and noted that, conversely, many Qatari investors are keen to explore investment opportunities in Argentina. For his part,Hernán Lombardi commended the relations between Qatar and Argentina. He stated that his visit to Doha comes as part of his country's desire to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with the State of Qatar. He invited Qatari businesspeople and investors to explore the investment environment and opportunities available in Argentina, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, technology, and others.

QC explores trade cooperation with Bosnia, Herzegovina

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in the economic and trade sectors, the investment climate, available opportunities, and the role of the private sector in boosting trade and investment exchanges. Al-Athba praised the cordial relations between the two countries, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation in commercial and investment fields to promote trade exchange, which reached around QAR 73 million last year, a figure that does not reflect the true potential and ambitions of both sides. He pointed out that about nine Bosnian companies are investing in the Qatari market in partnership with Qatari firms across various sectors. He also emphasized that Qatar's market is open and welcomes Bosnian companies interested in investing. For his part,Irfan Halilagić praised the strong ties between the two countries and noted the shared desire to strengthen these relations across various fields, especially in trade and investment. Halilagić called on representatives of the private sectors in both countries to broaden the scope of cooperation and establish joint projects that would lead to increased trade exchange.

QC explores economic cooperation with the Duke of Richmond
Tribune News Network Doha Rashid bin Hamad Al-Athba, Second Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, received Charles Gordon-Lennox 11th Duke of Richmond - UK, at the Chamber's headquarters on Thursday. The meeting discussed avenues of commercial and economic cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom, as well as the role of the private sectors in both countries in enhancing mutual investments. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Athba praised the strong relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom, noting that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached approximately QAR 7.5 billion last year, including QAR 1.2 billion in Qatari exports to the UK mostly consisting of petroleum gases and gaseous hydrocarbons.
