The very surprising short-odds favourite to win this year's coveted Gold Logie is revealed
Beloved Home and Away star Lynne McGranger, 72, is now the clear favourite to win Australian television's top prize, after a wave of public support and sentimental backing for her 33-year run as Irene Roberts on the long-running soap.
According to betting giant Sportsbet, McGranger has stormed into the lead with odds of just $1.37 – far ahead of her nearest rivals.
She's now well ahead of A Current Affair's Ally Langdon ($5.00), LEGO Masters host Hamish Blake ($8.50), ABC presenter Lisa Millar ($10.00), and comedian Julia Morris ($11.00).
Meanwhile, MasterChef Australia star Poh Ling Yeow sits at $13.00, while 2023 Gold Logie winner Sonia Kruger has blown out to $17.00.

The veteran actress, who earlier this year announced her departure from Home and Away, is being widely tipped to take home the Gold as a touching send-off from viewers - and it's not just fans backing her in.
'My son-in-law messaged me when the news broke about the Gold Logie. He said, "I just got you at $3.50 - I put $100 on you". Then he said, 'That's ridiculous... your odds should be much shorter than that!' she told Perth Now.
'But then within a week, I was $1.70, so now he is very chuffed. If I have to get up and make a speech, I'll make it known publicly he just made $350 off me!'
McGranger first appeared on the long-running soap in 1993 and has played Irene Roberts for over three decades.
Her exit storyline, which sees her character diagnosed with Alzheimer's, is currently unfolding on-screen and has struck an emotional chord with viewers.
'It's humbling and really overwhelming to even be nominated,' McGranger said.
'If I had known this was going to happen, I would have left years ago! But in all seriousness, I am loving the ride.'
The veteran actress will be joined by her daughter Clancy at Sunday's ceremony in Sydney.

At the ceremony, beloved rocker Jimmy Barnes is set to take the stage at The Star Sydney on August 3, bringing four decades of fan-favourite hits to Aussie ears.
Jimmy, who has 21 number-one albums under his belt as well as a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame, revealed he couldn't wait to 'get the party jumping' at the annual awards ceremony.
'I am excited about playing at the Logies, television's big night of nights,' the 69-year-old said.
'It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock'n'roll music to get the party jumping.'
The Aussie icon will be joined by the likes of Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake and Leigh Sales, who are just a few of the presenters expected to wow the crowd.
It has also been revealed that Sam Pang will host the event for the third time.
Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as host last year and in 2023 proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list, as well as a major ratings winner for Seven.
'It's been an honour to host the last two years. I'm looking forward to again celebrating the talented people and amazing shows that combine to make the Aussie TV industry something everyone can be proud of,' Sam told The Herald Sun.
The ceremony will be available to watch from 7:00pm on Sunday, August 3 on Seven and 7Plus.

Magda Szubanski broke down on Sunday night as she gave an emotional acceptance speech via video call during her 2025 Logies Hall of Fame induction. The comedian, 64, was unable to attend the event in person because she is immunocompromised as she undergoes treatment for stage 4 cancer. But that didn't stop the Kath and Kim star from bringing the audience to tears with laughter and sadness as she graciously accepted the honour. 'I am so sorry I cannot be there. I do have a good excuse this time, normally I don't come because I can't be bothered getting out of my pyjamas,' she said. 'This time there really is a reason. I want to say first of all, let's get this out of the way, I have not been awarded this honour because I have the cancer.' 'I am getting this because of 40 years of hard work. Lobbying, bribing, threatening, whatever it took. Finally it has all paid off,' she joked. Magda then struggled to contain her emotions as she thanked her friends, fans, and supporters. 'The love and support that I have felt, like a tsunami, from the Australian public, it has been overwhelming and I have to tell you, it really helps,' she began. 'I did not think I was going to cry,' she then added as she teared up. 'When I go online and look at those messages, every time, my heart lifts. And I feel that much stronger to deal with the cancer. 'So thank you for the love that you are pouring my way, I really feel it.' A wave of A-list stars stepped out to help induct Magda into the Hall of Fame on Sunday night. Today Extra co-host David Campbell introduced the segment, with Magda being the godmother to his daughter Betty, seven. Stars who shared their tributes included big names like Hamish Blake, Dannii Minogue, Ally Langdon, Julia Morris, and Poh Ling Yeow. The Irwins, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson, and Kathy Lette were also among many others who shared kind words for the Australian star. Marg Downey accepted the award on her behalf. Magda is the fifth woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame since it was introduced in 1984. She has joined the likes of Ruth Cracknell, Noni Hazlehurst, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, and Rebecca Gibney. Two months ago, Magda revealed she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She appeared on camera with a shaved head to reveal the shocking news after beginning her treatment for cancer. 'Hello, my lovelies. So, the head is shaved in anticipation of it all falling out in a couple of weeks because I have just been diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive, very serious lymphoma,' she said. Magda also revealed she has started treatment in Melbourne called the Nordic protocol, which treats mantle cell lymphoma by shrinking the tumours with a combination of drugs administered in five phases. It's known as the Nordic regimen based on its clinical trial sites in Denmark and Norway. The actress explained she will be 'lying very low' due to her weak immune system.

Zoë Foster Blake was attracting attention at the Logies - and some would say for the wrong reasons. The 45-year-old had husband Hamish Blake on her arm as she walked the red carpet at The Star in Sydney. The skincare mogul chose an unusual gown for the occasion, consisting of pearl-toned panels. Inspired by Art Deco designs, the frock included large cuts-outs that showed off her midriff and a hint of bust. The skirting was semi-detached and featured an unusual triangular pattern. Zoë finished the ensemble with a pair of strappy black heels and pearl drop earrings, as well as a number of diamond rings. And there's a chance that Nicole Kidman will play the book's main character - a businesswoman with a resemblance to the real-life Blake. TV Tonight reported that Blake has made the deal with Sydney-based company Made Up Stories who plan to make the book as a series in the US. The high-profile outfit is led by producer Bruna Papandrea, who has a strong relationship with Kidman. The Hollywood superstar has already starred in a number of Made Up Stories productions, including HBO's The Undoing in 2020 and 2021's Nine Perfect Strangers as well as the Apple+ anthology series Roar in 2022. The Oscar winner also co-produced the 2017 HBO hit Big Little Lies with Papandrea. Blake, who shares Sonny, eight, and Rudy, five, with her radio star husband Hamish, also announced she will be an executive producer on the new series.
