Fans left STUNNED over former Disney Channel teen heartthrob's shocking transformation
Sixteen years ago, Sterling Knight stole the hearts of millions thanks to his role in the beloved series Sonny With a Chance.
Sterling played arrogant and egotistical teen idol Chad Dylan Cooper in the show, who eventually ended up becoming Demi Lovato 's love interest.
His confidence and charm, as well as his adorable smile and perfectly-swept hair, instantly propelled Sterling into the spotlight.
He soon scored a leading part in the Disney Channel original movie Starstruck and also was a lead in Disney's brief sketch comedy series So Random!
It seemed like it would be the beginning of a decades-long career for Sterling... but unfortunately, that wasn't the case for the actor.
Flash forward to now, a decade and a half later, and the once-beloved Disney star, now 36, has left the spotlight entirely.
He hasn't acted since 2022 and is no longer active on social media, leaving many to wonder: What exactly happened to Sterling?
After shying away from the public eye for some time, he began posting videos to the platform Cameo in recent years, and boy, does he look different from his Disney days.
Fans took to TikTok to discuss his appearance back in February, and many were shocked over how much he has changed.
The former Disney star had a long and scruffy beard in his recent Cameo videos. In addition, his once-perfectly sculpted golden brown locks are now long and curly.
'I think we all thought Sterling Knight's career was going to take off after he left Disney Channel, but it really hasn't,' TikTok user Josh Denney said in a now-viral video.
'I could have sworn Sterling Knight was going to be the next big popstar to come out of Disney.'
Josh noted that Sterling hadn't been in any 'notable projects' in nearly a decade, adding, 'He's continued to act in smaller projects throughout the years but nothing's really hit big for him.'
'Aside from acting, one of his main focuses in the last few years has been creating personalized messages for his fans and sending them on Cameo,' Josh continued.
'But in one of the most recent Cameos he's posted he looks unrecognizable. It's actually pretty crazy.'
Back in November, it was announced that Sterling was going to return to the screen to star in a new rom-com called 40 Dates and 40 Nights alongside Bailee Madison and Joel Courtney.
'Could we be witnessing Sterling Knight's big acting comeback, which we've been waiting for? I really hope so,' Josh concluded.
'Shoutout to Sterling Knight, thank you for shaping mine, and millions of other people's childhoods across the world.'
Many rushed to the comment section to discuss Sterling's surprising journey.
'Unlike a lot of other Disney actors, Knight had good comedic timing to his acting. He was ACTUALLY funny watch,' one user noted.
Another wrote, 'I really thought of him as the second Zac Efron! It's crazy he didn't have the same amount of success. Yet.'
'I honestly respect him for his career choices. I'm sure he is just living life how he wants to and at the pace he is comfortable with,' someone else added. 'Success [doesn't equal] happiness.'
'He was pretty good singer, Disney should have pushed him to that he could have been great to be honest,' a fourth comment read.
A fifth said, 'His comeback is on my bingo card.'
Sterling started his career off with minor roles in movies like Calm, Career Day, and Hi-Jinks.
In 2007, he was cast in one episode of Hannah Montana as Lilly's boyfriend.
After that, he landed his role in Sonny With a Chance, which really propelled him into the spotlight.
Soon after, he starred in the popular movie 17 Again alongside Zac Efron, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Matthew Perry.
Starstruck came next, followed by So Random!, which was unfortunately canceled after one season.
After that he parted ways with Disney, and went on to act in the action thriller Transit, the TV show Melissa & Joey, Hulu's The Hotwives of Orlando, and most recently, the 2022 drama film It Snows All the Time.
He stopped posting regularly on Instagram in September 2023, however, he did return to the platform earlier this year to share a tribute to his 17 Again costar Michelle following her death.
In the post, he gave an update on his own life, revealing that he had 'emergency gallbladder removal surgery.'
'Some quick thoughts. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, I ended up having emergency gallbladder removal surgery (would not recommend) but I'm healing up nicely,' he wrote.
'With the timing of that, and the passing of Michelle, who was so unbelievably kind to me, it made me think.
'Tomorrow is not guaranteed and it's important to tell those close to you that you love them and appreciate them as often as possible.'
He described Michelle as 'generous, kind, and beyond helpful to him' as he 'navigated his first big movie.'
'I had grown up watching her (as we all did) and she always had time for me if I had questions or was struggling,' continued the star.
'I'll never forget hanging out with Matthew and Michelle in her trailer, for hours, talking about life and work, lessons and wisdom they had picked up.

Big Mo, the new voice of boxing, wants you to listen – no, really listen
I wanna say this without sounding like a d***,' Kody Mommaerts starts. His job, after all, involves selecting the right words. And though the stakes are lower on a Zoom call with The Independent than when a billion-dollar company entrusts him with a live microphone, the ring announcer still considers his words – and delivery – carefully. In this case, it is all to do with humility, and his concern that an analogy for his career might be misinterpreted as arrogance. 'I used to play video games as a kid,' says Mommaerts, widely known as 'Big Mo'. 'I don't play much anymore, but there was a phrase called 'speedrunning'. 'How quickly can I beat this game?' In a way... I've kind of speedrun announcing. I don't want that to come across as d***ish!' It's okay, he's allowed to say it. Firstly, he is just over six months removed from announcing one of the most-watched fights of all time, in Jake Paul 's boxing match with Mike Tyson – a bout that played out in front of more than 72,000 fans in Dallas, and more than 60 million households live on Netflix. Secondly, Mommaerts has already ticked off boxing, MMA, bare-knuckle fighting events and more, at an elite level. Thirdly, at 29 years old, he is the youngest MC at the top end of combat sports. And finally (on this taster of a list, at least), he is about to fulfil his dream: announcing at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Although, in a way, Mommaerts has already done it. He can explain that contradiction. 'I've talked about affirmation and visualisation a lot,' says the Denver native. 'I learned it when I was playing college football, but I perfected it while announcing. I would spend so much time on the road with my own thoughts, I would play videos in my mind: 'This is what I'll be wearing, this is what it'll feel like, this is how I'm gonna say Madison Square Garden.' 'I've already lived this in my brain, now I just get to experience it in real life. It's like when I get asked about the Mike Tyson introduction; I've already announced him in my brain. It's reality, so in theory it's more important, but I've already done this.' Still, 'I think [MSG] is gonna be the first moment in my career where I really lean back in my chair, like: 'Holy s***.' I did it a little bit at Paul vs Tyson, but there I almost blacked out because of the adrenaline...' The rest of the world will get to hear Mommaerts's rendition of 'Madisoooon Squuuaaaare Gaaaaaaaaaardeeeeen' on 11 July, when Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano top an all-female card and end the most important rivalry in the history of women's boxing. Their trilogy began at MSG in 2022, when Taylor narrowly beat the Puerto Rican, before the Irish icon did the same when they clashed on the Paul-Tyson undercard. Taylor and Serrano, the first women's boxers to earn seven-figure paydays, will return to the scene of their first fight and the platform of their second: Netflix, which is showing its belief in Mommaerts again. 'I came into this industry with zero broadcast, TV, boxing, or professional speaking experience,' he reflects. 'I'd publicly spoken, but at a collegiate level, because I was young. So [a few years ago], this 25-year-old kid with no background was holding a live microphone for billion-dollar corporations, who had sunk millions of dollars into an event. I understood the apprehension of using me. When I cold-called all the various promoters and networks, I understood them saying: 'Yeah, we're not gonna use you, we're gonna use the guy we've been using for 40 years.' 'There was a vast difference between me and every other MC, so I had to be perfect, polished, professional. They might have been looking for any reason to say: 'This is why we didn't hire the kid, I told you this was a bad idea.'' Mommaerts credits his professionalism with arguably being more important than his voice, but what of that voice? Trying to describe it is a punishing endeavour for a writer. There is a deepness to it, but also a clarity and crispness – a precision. To hear Mommaerts speak is to feel like you're trying on the most expensive set of headphones on the shelves, with the bass and treble dialled to perfection. But to hear Mommaerts speak is one thing; to really listen to what he has to say is another. And listening to him now, a few years into an electric run atop the business, are there questions over where Big Mo starts and Kody Mommaerts ends? 'I don't want it to sound like Big Mo is this character – that's not it,' Mommaerts says, but: 'I have to dial things up. My job is very charisma-driven, it's very extraversion. It's camera, flash, smile, announcing, crowd, media, press conference. It's so much, and I'm in front of it all. And I don't mean that in a boastful way, as if I'm the star of the show, but I do have to be almost this character in a sense. I have to be this larger-than-life person to present in the way I want. I have to dial things up. 'I've never actually shared this before: this job has changed my social battery. What a lot of people don't understand is: beyond just being an MC, and the whole point of being an MC is establishing authority and being vocal, I'm also 6ft 7in. I'm a big guy, I stand out already, and a large component of my job is very visual. Networks like Sky and Netflix like putting me on camera, which is great, but it's weird: it's just changed how I look at being in front of people. Now, when I'm outside of my job, I don't always love being in front of a lot of people. I try to keep it more low-key. 'Before the job, when I would go out, I would be this real social person, life of the party, blah blah blah. Now, when I go out, I'm kind of more of the guy on the wall. I'm a little bit more reserved. I still like to have fun, but I like to kind of keep to myself. So, the job has changed me a little bit – not in a bad way, but I've noticed it.' There is little that the man with the mic doesn't notice; while his God-given voice took him a long way, his attention to detail has been a key part of his success, too. So, if anyone can channel change into something unequivocally advantageous, it is Mommaerts.

YouTuber Nikocado Avocado who secretly lost 250lbs shares incredible results of plastic surgery to remove sagging skin
A YouTuber has shared the incredible results of his plastic surgery after his secret 250lb weight loss. The Florida-native Nikocado Avocado, whose real name is Nicholas Perry, recently revealed the incredible weight loss to his enormous following after hiding it for several years. But the incredible achievement came with a downside for the mukbang influencer - sagging skin around his body. Taking to his TikTok @realnikocadoavocado, the popular creator, who first became famous by completing eating challenges on camera, shared before and after snaps of his amazing transformation. In the clip, which racked up over 8 million views, he said: 'At first glance I probably looked fine, but I was actually hiding a really uncomfortable situation, and that was my neck. 'So I got it fixed, I went into plastic surgeon Ben Talei in Beverly Hills. Nothing has been put into me, no implants or anything, that is all natural. You would never know that I was once 400Ibs.' Many viewers were left impressed with the results, and they shared their complimentary comments underneath the clip. One person said: 'Bro's actually four steps ahead.' Another added: 'Actually really impressive.' Someone else wrote: 'What is the procedure called !!??' A fourth said: 'I still wanna know how you did that,' presumably referring to the weight loss in the first place. Nikocado shot to notoriety for his mukbang videos on YouTube, which featured him consuming large amounts of food for his 8million viewers. In September 2024, he r evealed he had secretly lost 253lbs over two years, dropping from 411lbs to 158lbs. In those two years he uploaded previously-recorded videos so his followers were completely unaware of his transformation. But while he went from morbidly obese to a healthier weight, he was left with 10lbs of sagging excess skin and needed to undergo multiple surgeries on his neck and face, as well as on his abdomen to remove it. He said: 'I had no chin at all, it was just this big gobble gobble turkey neck sitting below my face.' When people gain a large amount of weight, their skin stretches to accommodate their larger frame. Then, when a person loses that weight, the skin has been stretched so much it is not elastic enough to shrink back. This leaves people with sagging skin that can restrict movement, be painful, cause chafing and lead to emotional distress and diminished self esteem. Some surgeries to remove the skin involve a tummy tuck and arm, thigh and buttock lifts. He said he filmed a backlog of enough videos to last two years, during which he was shedding pounds he gained during his meteoric rise Nikocado has revealed how losing 250lbs left him with sagging around his chin and he went under the knife to remove it Many were impressed with his results with people rushing to the comments to leave their own thoughts He said on Instagram before his procedures: 'Everyone thinks I got my skin removed. I did not. This is my loose skin, it's a lot, it's like a rubber band [across my body].' And he told PEOPLE in January: 'I've been hiding my loose skin by positioning my body at certain angles... but the truth is I have loose skin in my abdomen, arms, legs, my torso, back, even my neck. I mean, it's everywhere.' About 20 percent of Americans lose more than 10 percent of their body weight every year, a number that is rising as more people use weight-loss drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic. Plastic surgeons are reporting a surge in people receiving skin tightening surgeries, with tummy tucks up five percent in 2023, reaching 170,110 procedures. Nikocado hasn't revealed how he lost the weight, but he achieved it over the course of two years while uploading pre-recorded videos of himself at his largest to keep his weight-loss journey a secret. For Nikocado, skin removal procedures began last month when the 32-year-old underwent a deep plane facelift to remove the loose skin on his face and neck. On January 22, Perry revealed he was having a deep plane facelift with Dr Ben Talei in Beverley Hills, California. A deep plane facelift is an advanced type of facelift that lifts and repositions deeper facial structures — including ligaments — for a more natural and longer-lasting result. This differs from a standard facelift, which only tightens skin to minimize wrinkles and make facial features more defined. In the surgery, Nikocado was put under anesthetic before surgeons made cuts around his ear to tighten the skin and reposition structures in his face. He had to wear a brace for at least a week afterward, and was told not to bend his head forward, because this could rip the skin while it is healing. A deep plane facelift in California costs anywhere between $22,000 to $50,000, and can take up to a year to fully recover from. Next on his list of procedures was skin tightening surgery on his stomach and arms to reduce the excess skin folds there. He underwent those surgeries earlier this month with Dr Timothy Katzen, also based in Beverly Hills. Nikocado appears to have undergone a tummy tuck. It involves a surgeon cutting the abdomen from hip to hip and removing excess skin and fat from the area. Doctors then realign the skin and stitch up the incision. The procedure costs about $8,000 in California and can take up to three months to recover. He also underwent an upper arm lift, which costs between $4,000 to $7,000. This removes excess skin and fat on the upper arm area. Surgeons cut inside the arm, the back of the arm or the armpit then remove excess fat and pull the underlying muscle and skin tighter before stitching the incision closed. The YouTuber blamed his weight gain on the social media craze surrounding his mukbang videos. He said: 'In one sense, I am here because of them [my viewers]. 'I would not have gotten that fat if I couldn't have made a living out of it, if I couldn't make good money, get good views, put myself out there. 'If I couldn't have built a career and a following, I would never have got fat. In a way I am here because of them, because they were watching all the videos.' But, describing why he opted for surgery to remove loose skin on his body, he added: 'This is holding me back, I can't even wear a normal shirt without sucking it in. This is holding me back from feeling my best. 'And I wanted to feel amazing and feel really good on the tour, and also wear cute clothes.'
