Both movies are competing neck to neck, as the audience is giving immense love to each of the films. Though with the opening day collection of Rs. 52 crore and Rs. 65 crore respectively, 'Coolie' outshone 'War 2', the tables turned on Saturday. This clash between the titans is rapidly changing the box office dynamics. After completing four days, the verdict is that 'Coolie' is ahead in the race with a business close to Rs200 crore. However, 'War 2' isn't far behind, as it minted over Rs. 170 crore by the end of the opening weekend. 'War 2' box office collection day 4 update According to Sacnilk, on day 4, i.e, Sunday, 'War 2' made a business of Rs 31 crore (early estimates) across all languages in the domestic market. It is less than what the movie made on Saturday (which was Rs. 33.25 crore), yet it tried to maintain a steady pace at the box office after the major drop. With this, after 4 days of a successful theatrical release, 'War 2' has collected Rs. 173.60 crore in India net. If the movie maintains this pace, then it might be able to close in on Rs. 200 crore soon. CM Yogi leads Janmashtami rituals at Gorakhnath
Gorakhpur : The sacred festival of Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with traditional fervour and devotion at the Gorakhnath Temple in the presence of Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath . Arriving from Lucknow late on Saturday night, the CM led the midnight rituals marking the divine appearance of Lord Krishna. At the temple, the CM first paid homage at Guru Gorakhnath's shrine and bowed before the samadhi of his spiritual guru, Mahant Avaidyanath. The festivities began with soulful bhajans at the Mahant Digvijayanath Smriti auditorium, where children dressed as Radha and Krishna added a colourful and festive charm to the atmosphere. The CM interacted warmly with them, showering affection, sharing light-hearted moments, and presenting toys and chocolates. As the clock struck midnight, the temple premises echoed with the sounds of conch shells, bells, and devotional chants. CM Yogi carried the idol of infant Krishna from the sanctum sanctorum and placed him in a floral cradle. He then performed the ceremonial jhulan (swing ritual), followed by the traditional aarti and the joyous singing of 'Nand Ghar Anand Bhayo' and other hymns. The event witnessed the participation of prominent personalities, including Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan, MP Vijay Dubey, BJP MLC Dharmendra Singh, and saints from Ayodhya and Varanasi. Thousands of devotees thronged the temple, offering prayers and witnessing the rituals. Competitions in Krishna–Radha attire drew enthusiastic participation, with prizes awarded to children across different categories. A devotional evening of bhajans, led by noted folk singer Rakesh Srivastava and his troupe, captivated the gathering with traditional renditions of sohar and other folk hymns, adding to the spiritual fervour of the occasion. 1 2 Lucknow: Emotional crisis of an abandoned elderly couple was portrayed delicately in Darpan group's play 'Aakhri Vasant' staged at the Central Drug Research Institute. The performance resonated deeply with the audience, as the play created pathos and showed how new bonds formed in the most unlikely situations. The elderly couple's only son is settled in Canada after marrying a woman of that nation. While the mother maintains occasional phone contact with her son and daughter-in-law, the father is estranged with the son who refuses to speak with him. The atmosphere in the household is of silence and longing until an unexpected twist disrupts the monotony. A fugitive dacoit breaks into their home and secures shelter at gunpoint. The situation takes another dramatic turn when the son calls on his birthday, sharing that his wife is pregnant and that they would soon be visiting home. On arrival, the son and his wife are surprised to find the dacoit working as a servant in the home. When police arrive looking for the criminal, the couple hide him, claiming their servant is out in the market. The climax comprises a touching moment in which the son confesses that he is not their real child, but a hired actor from an organisation that provides companionship to elderly parents abandoned by their children. His contract period is over and he must leave. This revelation stirs the dacoit, leading him to call the police and surrender. Anil Rastogi who played a central role in the play said, "This play shows that in today's world, you can even hire children who act like your own. A play is only meaningful when the audience truly connects with it." Chitra Mohan, Vansh Srivastava, Alka Vivek, Vikas Srivastava and Sanjay Deglurkar also acted.
