Revealed: New Chiefs star was wanted Sundowns and Pirates
The Betway Premiership will meet a highly-rated attacking midfielder in Kaizer Chiefs colours. His parents named him Ethan Chislett.
According to several leading reporters, including FARPost's Mthokozisi Dube and Lorenz Kohler at iDiski Times, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a two-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs, after he declined to renew his deal with Port Vale FC in the English League One division.
Kaizer Chiefs supporters should be glad to know that Chislett is a high-scoring midfielder with 40 goals in English football.

According to Chislett's agent, Mike Makaab, the Durban-born player was a target for Gauteng giants Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns before Kaizer Chiefs won the race.
Kaizer Chiefs news: Amakhosi money and another star from Europe
'His first preference was Chiefs,' agent Makaab said on Gagasi FM . 'I could have taken Chislett to Pirates. There was also interest, honestly, there was. There was interest from Sundowns as well.
'So there was a lot of interest in Ethan,' Makaab added.
With Chislett coming in to do his business as an attacking midfielder, Amakhosi's tactician will have four options in that position: Ethan Chislett
Gaston Sirino
Mduduzi Shabalala
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

Ex-Orlando Pirates defender on why the PSL lacks white players
Former AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates left-back Marc van Heerden has weighed in on the conversation about why the Premier Soccer League (PSL) lacks white football players. In the 90s, most PSL teams had several white players; however, the number started to decline in the mid to late 2000s. Van Heerden, who made his debut in the late 2000s for AmaTuks (University of Pretoria), has shared his insights on why there has been a lack of white footballers in the past decade. 'There was Mike Morton, there was Brad (Grobler). You had Jeremy Brockie,' the former Bafana Bafana defender told Robert Marawa on MSW . 'There's definitely talent across all races in our country. I just don't think they understand that they have the opportunity.' Van Heerden mentioned that some white players would often give up football and focus on other things. 'A lot of them that do have the talent give up. I knew plenty of players growing up that just gave up too easily. 'When I was at SuperSport's academy in the beginning stages, we had white, coloured and black players. I think it's a mentality thing, even at that age,' he said. The former AmaZulu left-back retired at the end of the 2023/24 season, after nearly two decades playing professional football. 'Do I really want to become a professional football player? Am I willing to work as hard as I possibly can to become that? Do I love the game that much to be that?' Van Heerden asked. Former PSL players Mike Morton and Matthew Booth last year also touched on the topic, explaining why white players opt not to play soccer as a profession. Why Kaizer Chiefs will be a different team next season
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels his former club will be a different team next season. Amakhosi have finished outside the top 8 in back-to-back seasons for the first time in PSL history. Under Nasredine Nabi, the club has not shown much improvement; however, they ended their 10-year trophyless run when they won the Nedbank Cup. 'Chiefs went to Turkey last season and they did well in the early stages of the league. Remember there was a reshuffling of the technical team after the first assistant left and then they had to bring in another one,' Tsotetsi told Soccer Laduma . 'Going to Netherlands now, it will be good for them because they are going to be preparing against teams that will give them a challenge to prepare for the league. In Netherlands, they are usually good tactically, so I think it can help Chiefs in establishing a good structure in their line-up. I think they will come back a different team. They will come back a better team.' Kaizer Chiefs have parted ways with five players but are yet to confirm any new signings. The likes of Ranga Chivaviro and Edmilson Dove are amongst the departed players meaning the Soweto giants might be eyeing to sign a few foreign players. A third @ added: 'These prices are outrageous.
