Gaggan in Bangkok was named The Best Restaurant in Asia, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, at the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 live awards ceremony. Voted by the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential gender-balanced group of more than 350 experts, this year's list includes restaurants from 16 cities and seven new entries.
Gaggan Anand, celebrated chef and owner of Gaggan, is known for blending progressive Indian cuisine with influences from Japan, France and Thailand. After multiple iterations of his Bangkok restaurant, previously crowned The Best Restaurant in Asia a record four times, Anand unveiled a reimagined version of his culinary concept in a new location in late 2019. In 2023, the restaurant returned to the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list and has steadily risen to the pinnacle.
Hong Kong is represented by seven establishments this year, led by The Chairman at No.2, with Wing following closely at No.3.

Walmart is expanding its drone deliveries to millions of potential customers in five new cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa. With this expansion, Walmart's drone deliveries are now available in seven cities, adding to existing operations in Dallas and Bentonville. It also makes Walmart the first retailer to scale airborne deliveries across five US states. 'We're pushing the boundaries of convenience to better serve our customers, making shopping faster and easier than ever before,' says Walmart SVP Greg Cathey. Walmart began drone deliveries in 2021 and teamed up with Alphabet-owned drone delivery provider Wing in 2023. Wing 'operates within FAA guidelines and flies its drones up to Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) up to a 6-mile aircraft range from the store,' Walmart says. With the latest expansion, Wing's drones will take off from 100 Walmart stores and deliver orders within 30 minutes. Drone deliveries were operational in Tampa before as well, but Walmart shut down operations in the Florida city, as well as Phoenix and Salt Lake City, last year to focus on improving in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Walmart customers can get groceries, health and wellness products, household essentials, and more delivered by a drone. Since launching the drone service, the retailer has completed 150,000 deliveries. Some of the most ordered items include bananas, lemons, limes, Great Value eggs, ice cream, and pet food. Amazon also offers drone deliveries through its Prime Air program but operates in fewer cities than Walmart. Currently, Prime Air is operational only in College Station, Texas, and the West Valley of the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area. The e-commerce giant is expected to test a new mode of delivery involving humanoid robots soon.

Next time you order something from Walmart, you may be able receive it through the air in just minutes, the retailer says. Walmart is expanding its drone delivery service to Atlanta through Wing, the big box retailer announced Thursday. Customers in Atlanta can sign up on Wing's website to be notified when drone delivery becomes available in their area by visiting The service is currently available in northwest Arkansas and Dallas-Fort Worth. Wing operates within FAA guidelines, flying their drones Beyond Visual Line of Sight up to a six-mile aircraft range from the store. 'People all around the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex have made drone delivery part of their normal shopping habits over the past year,' said Adam Woodworth, CEO of Wing.
