Eagles blow out Chiefs to win franchise's second Super Bowl
USA TODAY Sports' Jarrett Bell and Lorenzo Reyes break down the Eagles Super Bowl 59 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sports Seriously
The Philadelphia Eagles ended the Kansas City Chiefs' bid to become the first-ever team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Now, the Eagles will look to join the exclusive group of NFL teams to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
Philadelphia is navigating a lot of defensive turnover. Key players like C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Darius Slay, Josh Sweat and Milton Williams will all be playing for new teams in 2025. As such, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will be tasked with coaching up younger players as they move into more prominent roles in the Eagles' defense.
Offensively, things will remain closer to status quo for the Eagles. The only starter the team is set to replace is right guard Mekhi Becton, and Philadelphia has the depth needed to replace the big-bodied blocker.
The lone significant concern with the Eagles' offense is whether their famed "Tush Push" play will be outlawed by the NFL. If so, Philadelphia will need to figure out a different way to execute at a high level in short-yardage situations.
But even if that play is banned, the Eagles will still be tough to beat consistently given their strong roster. Here's a look at who Philadelphia is set to play in 2025 as their focus begins to shift to defending their Super Bowl title.

Eagles record prediction 2025
Record prediction: 11-6
The Eagles should once again be among the NFC's best teams in 2025, but they will face a tougher path to contention.
Philadelphia is set to have the fourth-hardest schedule in the NFL for the 2025 season, per Sharp Football Analysis. Comparatively, they had the fourth-easiest schedule in the league last season en route to a 14-3 record.
The Eagles have some daunting road games on their ledger. They have to play the Bills, Chiefs and Packers in hostile environments, highlighting the difficulties that will involve them facing every AFC West and NFC North teams as part of the NFL's yearly rotating schedule. Their own division could also be difficult, especially if the Commanders take a significant step forward in Jayden Daniels' second season.
Philadelphia still has the talent needed to be one of the best teams in the NFC. That said, given the Eagles' difficult schedule, the defensive changes they have made this offseason and the fact they are coming off a Super Bowl win, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Eagles get off to a slower start and win fewer games than they did last regular season as a result.

Jordan Love 'excited' to face Aaron Rodgers when Packers meet Steelers, hopes to exchange jerseys
With Aaron Rodgers officially signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he's set for some pretty fun reunions on the 2025 schedule. Not only will he be facing his former New York Jets teammates in a Week 1 battle, but the Steelers will also be hosting the team Rodgers won four league MVP trophies with over his future Hall of Fame career. And Rodgers' Green Bay Packers successor, Jordan Love, can't wait for the "Sunday Night Football" reunion. The Packers and Steelers will square off on Oct. 26 at Acrisure Stadium in the primetime slot, and Love told Channel 3000 during his round of golf at the American Family Insurance Championship on Friday how much he's looking forward to it. "It's going to be fun. It's going to be awesome. I'm excited for it," Love said. "I can't wait to be on different sides, meeting up, and I know we'll talk pregame, things like that. And hopefully we can exchange jerseys after." Love was taken 26th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, which shocked some considering Rodgers was showing no signs of slowing down under center. Well, it seems to light an extra fire in his belly, as Rodgers went on to win back-to-back MVP awards in the 2020 and 2021 seasons while Love learned behind him as his backup. But in 2022, Rodgers saw his final season with the Packers after an 8-9 record, and Green Bay made it clear who was next up. Love took all the lessons he learned from Rodgers and cemented himself as the team's quarterback of the future, going 9-8 with 4,159 yards passing with 32 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in his third NFL season (first as the team's starter). The Packers signed Love to an extension before the 2024 season, and though he dealt with an early injury, he went 9-6 over his 15 games to lead his team to the playoffs as Green Bay went 11-6. While Love is looking to keep stacking up playoff seasons, he was tapped into Rodgers' offseason journey this year, saying he wasn't "too surprised" to see him choose Pittsburgh. "I was excited for him, that he was obviously coming back and going to be playing. There were also some rumors that he might be done, so just knowing he's going to keep playing, that's pretty awesome." Love reiterated what he's said in the past about Rodgers, that he was a good mentor while they were teammates despite Green Bay drafting Rodgers' successor. After all, Rodgers went through it himself when he was drafted as Brett Favre's replacement. "I appreciate definitely the way A-Rod handled being in that situation, and I think a big part of it – which he told me – was he knew how it was for him being in that same position and the things that he went through and the way the situation might've been handled [differently]. I think perspective was: 'I'm trying to go about this a little bit differently,' which I think was awesome," Love explained. "In my time with A-Rod, we had a great relationship. It was awesome being in the same room with him, being able to learn." Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

O-line starters, Sam Darnold progress and more Seahawks stories for Cardinals fans to know
O-line starters, Sam Darnold progress and more Seahawks stories for Cardinals fans to know A look at some stories from the last week that Cardinals fans should know about the NFC West rival Seahawks. We are 13 weeks from Week 1's Sunday games and done with another week of the NFL offseason. That means we take some time to check in with the Arizona Cardinals' NFC West rivals — the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. What is new with the Seahawks? Below are a few stories from the last week for Cardinals fans to know. First look at first-team OL in OTAs The Cardinals don't allow reporters to reveal anything about which players are running with which teams or what the practice rotations look like, but the Seahawks do. Their first-team offensive line looks like this right now, from left tackle to right tackle — Charles Cross, Grey Zabel, Olu Oluwatimi, Christian Haynes, Abe Lucas Darnold up and down at OTAs The Seahawks gambled big on Sam Darnold after his one good season with the Vikings. In his first offseason in Seattle, he was up and down in practices at OTAs. LB Jones progressing from offseason surgery LB Ernest Jones re-signed with the team and had offseason knee surgery. But he is making progress. While he has not done team drills in OTAs, he has been participating in walkthroughs and individual drills. 100% attendance OTAs are voluntary, but Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald apparently has his players believing in the offseason work. All 90 players on the roster have been in attendance voluntary OTAs. Rookie QB with great work ethic The Seahawks drafted quarterback Jalen Milroe this year. They aren't putting a lot on his plate yet, but Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has great things to say about how Milroe is working. Jalen Ramsey skipping start of Dolphins minicamp with trade talks simmering
Jalen Ramsey will not be at the Dolphins' minicamp when it opens this week as the two sides continue to search for a trade for the cornerback. The player and team mutually agreed to part ways back in April, but so far, a trade hasn't materialized and it has led to Ramsey opting not to attend mandatory minicamp this week, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday. Jalen Ramsey walks onto the field prior to a game against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on December 29, 2024 in Cleveland, The NFL insider also indicated that Ramsey would remain away from the team until the situation is resolved. A former All-Pro defender and seven-time Pro Bowler, Ramsey has spent his last two seasons with the Dolphins and appeared in all 17 games last season in South Florida. It would appear that both sides are ready to move on from each other as the organization begins to prepare for the 2025 season. Advertisement Asked about it last week, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters he wasn't paying much mind to it. 'I don't really check in on a day-to-day [basis]. Zero has changed from my end. I let [general manager] Chris [Grier] work, and I'm diligently coaching,' he said. Jalen Ramsey warms up prior to a game against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on December 29, 2024 in Cleveland, of this comes a season removed from the Dolphins signing Ramsey to a three-year, $72.3 million extension and making him the highest-paid corner in the NFL. Advertisement In order to swing any sort of deal, a team would have to be willing to take on the massive contract that includes a $16.6 million cap hit for the upcoming season. Ramsey did see a dip in his play last season when he missed the Pro Bowl for the first time since 2016. He had 60 tackles, a sack, two interceptions and 11 passes defended. Advertisement Ramsey had been taken fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jaguars and played there until he was traded to the Rams in the middle of the 2019 season. He played in Los Angeles until he was traded to Miami in the 2023 offseason.
