The Arizona Cardinals placed veteran cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting on the non-football injury reserve on Thursday. According to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, they could bring in a free agent cornerback with some experience.

Asante Samuel Jr.: The Cardinals brought him in for a visit early in free agency. Coming off a neck injury, perhaps now he will be the target.
James Bradberry: He is now almost 32 years old but he had his best season with Jonathan Gannon while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Rasul Douglas: The Cardinals fumbled Douglas in 2021 when he was on the practice squad but signed with the Packers and went on to have a great season. He started 15 games for the Bills last season.
C.J. Henderson: He spent last season on injured reserve with the Pittsburgh Steelers but has 32 starts in his career with the Jaguars and Panthers. He is a former 2020 first-round draft pick.
Caleb Farley: He hasn't ever played more than nine games in a season but has been in the league since 2021, drafted in the first round by the Titans, where Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was before coming to the Cardinals.

Stephen A. Smith had a tough question put onto his lap during Wednesday's edition of "First Take" – would he rather be president of the United States or the next New York Knicks head coach? Smith had to think about it as he's floated the possibility of running for president and has added his voice to some of the hot-button political issues debated in that particular arena. I would work with the United Nations. I would do what I could to empower us. I don't want to give Ukraine unlimited funds, but I know that Russia's ultimate quest is to recapture Europe and I don't want that to happen. Therefore, I would help out Ukraine." Russo applauded Smith but hedged on going any further in the political realm. Smith told ABC News in April that he had no choice but to consider a presidential run. "I have no choice, because I've had elected officials — and I'm not going to give their names — coming up to me. I've had folks who are pundits come up to me. I've had folks that got a lot of money, billionaires and others, that have talked to me about exploratory committees and things of that nature. I'm not a politician. ESPN Anchor Gives Prognosis Before He Undergoes Cancer Surgery
Longtime ESPN anchor Jay Harris said Thursday he has prostate cancer and will undergo surgery next week. (Watch the video below.) The 'SportsCenter' veteran said on 'Good Morning America' he'll be away from work for about a month, 'and then I'm coming back better than ever.' Asked by host Michael Strahan about the prognosis, Harris replied, 'My doctor is quite optimistic. Per my last scan, nothing has spread. So once we take out the prostate, hopefully that'll be it.' Harris said he has been taking advice from 'SportsCenter' colleague Hannah Storm, who recently announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Harris also said he has received 'real talk' from another ESPN personality, Brian Custer, a prostate cancer survivor. Harris, 60, has been on the 'SportsCenter' desk since 2003. He said he wanted to share his diagnosis to encourage Black men to get the conversation going about their health issues. San Francisco 49ers LT Trent Williams has dominated the Arizona Cardinals PFF made a list of the highest-graded player against each NFL team. Against the Cardinals, 49ers LT Trent Williams dominates. The Arizona Cardinals, playing in the NFC West, regularly play some dominant players. PFF put together an interesting list of the highest-graded player against every team since 2020, provided they have played against them at least twice and have logged at least 100 snaps. If you had to guess who that player might be against the Cardinals, you might say former LA Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald. Good guess, but that isn't correct, although Donald does come up on PFF's list as the top-graded player against two other teams. Thet player to absolutely dominate the Cardinals is San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams. Williams has made a habit of mauling everybody in front of him, and the Arizona Cardinals are likely awaiting the day he retires. Across nine games against the Cardinals since 2020, Williams has recorded an unreal 96.9 PFF overall grade and a 97.5 PFF run-blocking grade. Arizona certainly has its own run defense to at least partially blame, but Williams is a freight train the team just can't stop. Williams has been arguably the best tackle in the league for years. That, combined with a lack of impact pass rushers since 2020 outside of Chandler Jones and generally a weak run defense, is a recipe for dominance. Jones also struggled against Williams. Williams comes up twice on this list as he is also the highest-graded player against the Detroit Lions as well.
