on Monday met with tribal leaders of several states, including Jharkhand, in Delhi to take stock of the issues and concerns of the adivasi population.
From Jharkhand, over a dozen tribal workers of the party, including Lohardaga MP Sukhdeo Bhagat, state agriculture minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, attended the meeting.
The party's spokesperson Satish Paul Munjini said that the meeting was aimed at preparing action plans to work for the welfare of adivasi communities.
About Jharkhand, he said that the representatives detailed about the ongoing works of the alliance govt and existing issues.
"The biggest demand for tribals is the implementation of Sarna Code ahead of the nationwide caste and population census. It was also discussed how previous BJP govt had conspired to evict the tribals from their lands in the guise of land banks and digitization. We will soon launch a campaign to address these issues," he said, adding that Rahul Gandhi has assured his full support to take up the concerns at the national level to force union govt to act accordingly.

Ahead of CZC meet, Shah accorded warm welcome in PM constituency
1 2 3 4 Varanasi: Led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath , scores of BJP workers accorded a warm welcome to union home minister Amit Shah in Varanasi on Monday. Shah is in the city to attend the Central Zonal Council meet on Tuesday. Jubilant BJP supporters gathered along the road from the airport to the Varanasi highway to welcome the home minister. When the fleet of Shah started progressing towards the highway from the airport, the leaders and workers from Pindra, Sevapuri, and Rohaniya assembly areas, who represent five rural assembly constituencies of the district, showered rose petals amidst chanting of slogans like Har Har Mahadev. BJP leaders and supporters had gathered on both sides of the roads at Gilat Bazar and showered flower petals to welcome Shah. When Shah's fleet reached Lahurabir, the party workers, especially from the City South assembly, started blowing conch shells and playing damrus amidst flower petal showering. This scene continued till Shah's fleet reached the Kaal Bhairav temple after crossing the Maidagin area. Shah and Yogi kept greeting the people and party supporters by joining or waving hands. During his stay at the Kaal Bhairav temple, Shah performed Aarti of the deity and sought blessings. Kashi region unit president Dilip Singh Patel said that party workers expressed gratitude to Shah for giving the honour to the city for hosting the CZC meet. After the G20 meeting, getting the opportunity to host the CZC meet is a matter of pride for the city as it is the first meeting of the zonal council, which is being organised in any non-state capital city, said the BJP leader. From the Kaal Bhairav temple, Shah reached Hotel Taj to host dinner for Tuesday's CZC meet participants, including Yogi, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, who had already arrived before Shah reached Varanasi. Two ministers from each state and around 100 senior officers from different ministries and departments, who will take part in the proposed meeting, also attended the dinner. In view of the stay and movement of VIPs, three-layered security arrangements were ensured by police officials by deploying around 5,000 police and paramilitary personnel. Additional forces had already arrived by Sunday evening and, following detailed briefing, they were deployed for security exercises, crowd control, and ensuring strict implementation of traffic diversions planned on the routes of movement of VIPs.

Ireland: BJP's Narinder Singh Raina pays tribute to victims of Kanishka bombing, condemns terrorism
Cork [Ireland], June 23 (ANI): BJP leader Dr Narinder Singh Raina, who is part of an Indian delegation in Ireland, on Monday paid tribute to the victims of the 1983 Air India Kanishka flight bombing in which 329 people were killed by Canada-based Khalistani terrorist group. An Indian delegation led by Union Minister Hardeep Puri is in Cork, Ireland, to attend the 40th anniversary of the Ahakista Memorial of the Kanishka terror attack. Today marks the 40th anniversary of Kanishka bombing. On 23 June 1985, Air India Flight 182 was blown up by the Canada-based Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa near Cork, Ireland, resulting in the deaths of all 329 passengers, including over 80 children. Speaking to ANI, Raina said that the delegation met family members of the victims, and they collectively condemned terrorism. The BJP leader asserted that the whole world should fight against terrorism. 'We have come here under the leadership of Hardeep Puri. On 23 June 1985, Air India Flight 182 was blown up and 329 people died in the attack. This monument has been created in memory of those who have passed away. For the last 40 years, the family members of the victims come here and pay tribute to them. We also met the parents of the kids who were in the plane. There were 83 students. Most of the passengers were from Canada. We collectively condemned terrorism and it's against humanity. Whole world should fight against it...' Raina said. Earlier today, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri paid tributes to the victims of the Kanishka bombing and gave a call to bring an end to terrorism. Calling Canada a valued partner and friend of India, he called upon them to deepen the bilateral collaboration in countering this. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, paid homage to the Kanishka Bombing victims at the memorial. At the solemn event, Puri remembered the victims with deep sorrow and heavy hearts, who passed away forty years ago. In his speech, he asked the world to come together not only in mourning but also in collective proactive efforts to counter terrorism. 'On behalf of India, I call upon the global community to remember our shared responsibility. I call upon our Canadian friends in particular to deepen our bilateral collaboration in countering this. Canada is a valued partner and a friend of India. We share vibrant cultural and economic relations with each other, and we are bound by democratic traditions, and those ideals require us to act together against all forms of extremism and terrorism. When separatist violence, and separatist voices find sanctuary, when extremist figures glorify violence-- they threaten not just the people whose lives they take away, they threaten societies at large,' Puri stated. He said that by working together, sharing intelligence, shutting off funding channels, countering radicalization, it can be ensured that those who continue to promote hate and terror cannot succeed. 'India stands ready to do more. Our security agencies, our intelligence operators, and our diplomatic channels remain committed to partnering with Canada and all other countries. Let us redouble our efforts to ensure that what happened on June 23, 1985 is never repeated, not here, not in India, not anywhere in the world.' Calling the Kanishka Bombing as one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in aviation history, Puri said that it has left scars that have not healed even after 40 years.
