Mel B holds 'spiritual' second wedding to Rory McPhee in romantic Moroccan ceremony
Mel B has wed her husband, Rory McPhee, for a second time. The Spice Girls star and hairdresser Rory held their official ceremony in the UK just weeks earlier, exchanging vows at the iconic St Paul's Cathedral.
However last night, Mel and Rory married for a second time in Morocco during a spectacular celebration that paid tribute to her fiery roots. The pair were surrounded by their dearest friends and relatives, including Melanie's three children from former marriages, along with her sibling Danielle Brown and Rory's loved ones.
Among the guest list was Melanie's Spice Girls bandmate, Melanie C, who had been unable to make the St Paul's event due to work commitments as part of her tour, the Mirror reports.
Reflecting on the celebrations, Melanie C said: "What a weekend!". The singer had previously mentioned her follow-up ceremony would be "sexy." Now, inside the second wedding can be revealed.
Mel's breathtaking bridal gown sparkled beneath the Marrakesh sun with red crystals, created in partnership with Evelie and Justin Alexander. The duo exchanged vows once again at their favourite place, the Selman Hotel. Unlike her majestic ivory dress in London, Melanie opted for something more daring, showing her own personal style.
Previously, Melanie was steered by wedding dress guru Caroline Black from Evelie Bridal, who proudly assisted the chart-topping star in selecting the ideal Josephine Scott gown for their UK ceremony. Meanwhile, she chose American designer, Justin Alexander to help with her Moroccan dress reflecting her current life, as she is splitting her time between Leeds and the US, where she is working on America's Got Talent.
Evelie Bridal owner Caroline said: "For Mel's Morocco wedding dress, we focused on trying Justin Alexander gowns with a little extra sparkle. Mel loved the idea of a red dress—something bold, with lots and lots of shimmer—but it also had to feel light and easy to move in."
"We drew inspiration from a variety of dresses she tried on at Evelie South Kensington, then went back and forth brainstorming with Justin Alexander and his design team. After several conversations and sketches, the first design took shape. Mel gave us clear feedback on what she liked and what she didn't, and the final result was beautiful. Mel had such a strong sense of what she wanted—it was a joy working with her and Justin Alexander to bring her vision to life."
Melanie and Caroline collaborated with Creative Director Justin Warshaw and Chief of Design Terri Hilferty to craft the stunning, sheer gown that exuded glamour and featured flares. The silhouette was entirely adorned with hand-fitted red crystals and bulge beads, creating a captivating floating effect across the bodice and skirt.
The team of six artists took a staggering 850 hours to complete the dress.
The dress's sweetheart neckline was embellished with red crystal detailing, gradually spreading across the corset. Additionally, asymmetrical detailing at the waistline added another layer of depth. In typical Mel B style, a daring side split revealed a glimpse of her legs, with crystal beading scattered down the length of her skirt.
On the other hand, the back showcased a lace-up corset and red ribbons, highlighting her gym-toned physique before eventually cascading into a magical cathedral-length train. The musician finished off her look with a Moroccan-inspired veil, custom-draped in mocha tulle and highlighted with red crystals to reflect the dress's adornments.
The warm-toned veil blended flawlessly with the dress, providing a radiant, skin-toned glow. Crystals accented the veil's crown and delicately trickled down the back drape, with additional sparkle scattered throughout the train to complete the look.
Melanie's husband, Rory, previously wore tartan and a kilt at the St Paul's ceremony, opted for UK based designer, Alexander McQueen wearing a traditional black tie look.
Speaking about the design, Justin Warshaw, CEO and Creative Director of Justin Alexander, said: "We had such an enjoyable time working with Mel. Every meeting felt like a creative burst of energy and laughter, and that spirit is absolutely woven into the dresses we created together.
"There was so much joy and trust in the process, and creating these dresses together felt like a true celebration of her love story and personal style."

No spoilers, but if you've seen My Oxford Year, or at the very least some teasers of it on Netflix, you'll know two things: just how devastating the plot it, and just how incredible Sofia Carson looks. Playing the American post-grad student Anna De La Vega, Sofia, 32, has quickly shot up to style icon status thanks to the looks her character served. But away from her preppy knits and expansive winter jacket wardrobe, the actress shone in one other department that had nothing to do with her wardrobe: her hair. We spent the whole 1h53 minutes desperately Googling to find out exactly what was used on Sofia's hair on the set to give her that mirror-like shine, and we finally have the intel. Hair pro Rebekah Forecast, who did the make-up for My Oxford Year, quietly dropped a full list of everything she used on Sofia's hair, and we've pinpointed Jones Road's Everywhere Balm Hippie Stick, £36, as the product behind her shiny tresses. Think of it less as a secret weapon and more as a Swiss army knife. This slip-on-the-go multi-use balm can literally be used from forehead to heels (and yes, hair too). Initially formulated as a barrier-rich hydrator for dry skin, it's a frequent styling fallback for taming flyaways or hydrating ends. Another product that is definitely premium, but also gives premium results. The fact that Rebekah uses a range of fine sprays and volume-boosting products tells us that Sofia might actually have quite fine hair, which makes the styles she boasted for the Netflix movie all the more impressive. If even fine-haired girls can get shine and volume like that, without strands looking greasy, they're products we want for ourselves.

Baby Reindeer and Fleabag team's next show is nothing I expected
Baby Reindeer and Fleabag are known around the world as genre-defining TV shows. But they began life on the Edinburgh Fringe's cobbled streets, with flyers, persistence and a revolutionary spark, under the direction of Francesca Moody Productions. I expected Francesca's next trick to embody her last name like the predecessors: something dark, twisty and uncomfortable. But Ohio, running at the Edinburgh Fringe right now, is nothing of the sort. Toe-tapping, chest-pounding folk music is not a genre I can usually abide by. So when a hugging couple (I could sneak a glimpse of them backstage from my spot) beamed onto the stage with a guitar, I sank in my seat – worried at how a crowd in Scotland would receive a hippy-clappy American hour. Silly me. Far from it: Ohio turned out to be a heartwarming, raw, and deeply personal story of Obie-winning indie-folk duo Shaun and Abigail Bengson, as told by them. Light-hearted release cut through any threat of a saccharine toothache like a jug of peppermint mouthwash. Phew. Ohio tells the story of Sean's degenerative hearing loss and his journey away from God, told through song, poetry and theatre. As his deafness progresses with the story, syllables are left off on-screen captions, and the sound of their voices blur into a microphone, imitating his ordeal in that moment. It's one of the most powerful depictions of a disability I've ever seen on stage, putting us into his shoes without shoving trauma down out throats (as the Fringe quite likes to do these days). While Baby Reindeer tackles a big, crazy story, Ohio is a no less honest expression – but tackles human struggles, and finds beauty and hope within and despite of them. Through song, this duo express themselves like no one is on the receiving end: there are no rigid choruses, verses and genre conventions, but a meaningful, spine-tingling sound. One poignant moment is the duo's song for Mrs Wean, who helped Sean hear past his tinnitus as a child, told through his gravelly and beautifully strained vocals, and a genuinely brilliant melody. Meanwhile, Abigail's voice is nothing like I've ever heard. It's a yodelling, entrancing cross between Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton and even, dare I say it, Enya. Her vocals and chants, recorded and played back during the show, are as eerie as a viking war cry and convey messages of longing, sadness and hope in a single note. More Trending Sean's reading of his dad's final ever sermon as a pastor before his deafness took hold of him, like it will eventually do to him, made me cry. I'm left wondering when Sean's last show will be. When will be his last Neil Young or Bob Dylan listen before the little hairs that give life to his ears lay their weary heads? But if the spirit of Ohio is genuine – which I believe it is – then I have hope that this remarkably talented couple will find beauty and meaning even when the performance is over.
