Pinarayi also pointed at the efforts towards building a new Kerala. He said the state had successfully overcome multiple crises and bring in change.
'People should ask how this transformation was made possible. Since 2016, there has been continuity. People can experience the changes firsthand. That's why they reject the misleading campaigns by the Opposition,' he said.
He criticised the Centre for not extending adequate support to the state after the floods. Yet, the state overcame the crisis due to public support, he said. Pinarayi said the public health and education sectors have made remarkable progress since 2016. He said that at a time when there are attempts from various corners to stifle the Left, efforts should continue to strengthen the CPM and the Left front.
Addressing the gathering, CPM general secretary M A Baby too underscored the possibility of a third term for the Left. Referring to the efforts towards Nava Kerala, he recalled how the study Congress organised by the party had earlier envisioned such a perspective.
'Presenting a vision, E M S Nampoothiripad had said that there should be attempts to build consensus on key issues concerning the state's development. Even amid political and electoral contests, efforts to reach a consensus must be made. This was partially supported by Congress leader A K Antony,' Baby said.
CPM state secretary M V Govindan and several senior Left leaders were present at the inauguration of the new building.
The nine-storey structure, with two underground floors, includes parking facilities for up to 60 vehicles.

Kerala's farm sector on a growth path, says Chief Minister
Kerala's farm sector is powering ahead, recording growth more than double the national average, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said. He was inaugurating the State-level Farmers' Day celebrations and distribution of the Kerala State Farmer Awards via online on Sunday. 'While the national agricultural growth was just 2.15% in the last fiscal year, Kerala recorded 4.65%,' the Chief Minister noted. 'This growth is the result of focussed interventions, including Mission 2026 for short-term targets and Mission 2033 for long-term development.' The Chief Minister highlighted that paddy productivity had increased to 3,108 kg per hectare, while coconut cultivation registered a 54 % growth under the Keragramam project. 'Coconut procurement rose from 6.28 lakh tonnes to 17.20 lakh tonnes during this government's tenure,' he added. Climate change At the same time, he acknowledged the threats posed by climate change, market uncertainties, and wild animal attacks. 'To counter climate risks and encourage value-added production, Kerala, with the assistance of the World Bank, is implementing a ₹2,365-crore KERA project, the largest agricultural project from the World Bank in 40 years. It will directly benefit four lakh farmers and indirectly support ten lakh farmers,' Mr. Vijayan said. He pointed out the importance of adapting cropping calendars to climatic shifts and embracing innovation. 'Over 150 agri-tech start-ups have already taken root in the State. We are promoting the idea of 'One Krishi Bhavan, One Value-Added Product,' which has transformed more than 200 farm products into market-ready brands,' the Chief Minister said. Curbing wild animal menace is crucial, but it cannot be fully addressed through State initiatives alone, the Chief Minister said. He stressed the need for timely amendments to Central laws, adding that the State has already taken up the matter with the Centre while also formulating its own special projects. The government aims to integrate traditional farming practices with modern methods to ensure sustainable solutions, he added. 'Backbone of society' Agriculture Minister P. Prasad, who presided over the event, described Chingam one (the first day of the Malayalam month) as not just Farmers' Day but 'a day dedicated to the backbone of our society.' He remarked, 'Farmers devote their lives to feeding us. Supporting them is our shared responsibility. A farmer's fall is society's fall.' Mr. Prasad stressed the need for modern technology in farming. 'From artificial intelligence to the Internet of Things, agriculture must become smarter. Drone-based seeding has already helped us save 40% of seeds and improve yields,' he pointed out. Revenue Minister K. Rajan honoured senior farmer Joseph Pallan and farm worker Sangeetha A.R. on stage. 'Farmers are Kerala's true brand ambassadors. Through value addition, we are ensuring their economic security,' he said, adding that projects worth over ₹2,000 crore are under way to mitigate climate-related losses. Higher Education Minister R. Bindu released Harithagatha, a book documenting the success stories of award-winning farmers. 'From smart Krishi Bhavans to integrated farm projects, the government has made significant strides in improving farm infrastructure,' she said. The event concluded with the distribution of State Farmer Awards by Mr. Prasad and Mr. Rajan. A farmers' rally, starting from the Students' Corner in the morning, marked the beginning of the celebrations.

We serve the Constitution, not partisan interests,' he asserted. He also addressed concerns regarding foreign nationals on the voter rolls, stating that any individual unable to prove Indian citizenship during the SIR process would be duly removed. In a final flourish, the Commissioner invoked the moral weight of the electorate. 'When more than seven crore voters of Bihar stand with the Election Commission, no shadow may be cast upon their integrity. To question them is to question the very soul of our republic.' Businessman alleges Kerala CPM secretary's son leaked his confidential complaint
The Kerala CPM has been hit by a fresh controversy after a Chennai-based businessman alleged that Shyam, son of state secretary M.V. Govindan, was involved in leaking a confidential complaint submitted to the party's Politburo. The businessman, Muhammad Sharshad, said he had submitted a complaint disclosing alleged illegal financial transactions involving certain CPM leaders. According to him, the documents attached to his petition were leaked and later surfaced as evidence in a defamation case filed by London-based businessman Rajesh Krishna. Sharshad claimed that Shyam was responsible for passing on the documents to Rajesh, possibly under pressure. The businessman further alleged that despite his repeated representations, the party leadership ignored his complaint. He noted that while Rajesh was invited to attend the CPM party congress in Madurai, he was eventually asked to stay away after Sharshad raised objections. In his letter to the Politburo, Sharshad accused Rajesh of transferring unaccounted funds to the bank accounts of CPM leaders. Following the leak, Rajesh approached the Delhi High Court with a defamation suit, asserting that false allegations had been circulated against him. Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Sharshad said that both the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax Department are now probing his complaint into the alleged illegal financial transfers from Rajesh Krishna's accounts. He alleged that Rajesh used his leaked complaint to strengthen his defence in the defamation case, with the involvement of Govindan's son making it possible. The issue has drawn a sharp response from the Opposition. Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan demanded a public explanation from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, accusing the CPM state committee of deliberately covering up Sharshad's complaint. He insisted that the identities of all CPM leaders allegedly linked to the financial transactions with Rajesh must be revealed. With the allegations gaining momentum, the CPM leadership finds itself under mounting pressure to respond, while the charge against Govindan's son has cast a fresh shadow over the party's credibility.
