Cyberabad police bans gatherings near exam centres
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty ordered for prohibiting assembly of five or more persons around a 200-metre radius at all the examination centres of Intermediate Public Advance Supplementary Examinations.
The examinations will be conducted from May 22 to May 29. Further, photocopy (xerox) and internet centres shall be closed within a radius of 100 metres from the centres.
However, the following are exempted from the operation of this order - police officers on duty, military personnel on duty, home guards on duty, flying squad of the Education Department and funeral processions.
The order will remain in force from May 22 to May 29 at all the examination centres of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
The public informed that any person violating the orders shall be liable for prosecution under Section-163 of BNSS.

Hyderabad: About 70 patients at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Erragadda, fell sick due to suspected food poisoning, with two of these inmates shifted to the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) with complaints of severe diarrhoea. They maintained that the patient died due to a cardiac arrest. According to the complaint, Karan, 33, a destitute, was referred to IMH by a magistrate of Bhupalpally in August 2023. Due to ill health, he died on Tuesday. "It is suspected that he suffered a heart attack and his death has nothing to do with food poisoning," said M Surender, SHO, Borabanda. Sharing details about the 70 other patients, Rayirala said that they started complaining of loose motion and vomiting on Monday afternoon. "All the patients were promptly examined and given adequate hydration based on clinical assessment. No severe complication was noted. We are still probing to ascertain if it is because of food poisoning," the superintendent said, adding, "We have sent the stool and vomit samples of the patients to the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) for microbiological tests to check if there was any contamination in the food and water given to the patients. " Meanwhile, OGH doctors said that the two inmates – T Satish (18) and D Karan Reddy (35) – admitted at the facility are now stable. They are out of danger," said a doctor attending to them. While officials including Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty and Director of Medical Education (DME) Narendra Kumar rushed to the IMH to take stock of the situation, health minister Damodar Raja Narasimha ordered an inquiry into the case.

The system, developed under the supervision of police commissioner J Ravinder Goud, will offer real-time access to court information and updates on the status of cases. After a month of rigorous development and training, we're here to offer this service to the public, making legal processes more accessible and transparent," Goud told TOI. The CCMS portal, officials said, would enable users to access court-related information remotely through their electronic devices. For law enforcement, the system provides live tracking capabilities across various sections, ensuring efficient case management and precise monitoring of hearing schedules.
