Leicester City legend spotted at Celtic as Brendan Rodgers gives VIP tour of Lennoxtown
All the talk has been about Jamie Vardy making a stunning move to Celtic Park.
But another Leicester City legend has been reunited with Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow.
Premier League-winning legend Marc Albrighton was given a VIP tour of Lennoxtown today after being invited north by former boss Rodgers.
Albrighton, 35, worked under Rodgers at the Foxes but retired in 2024 following the end of his contract at the King Power.
The former winger - who played a key role in Claudio Ranieri's remarkable 2015/16 title-winning side - has since returned to boyhood club Aston Villa in a coaching capacity.
Albrighton currently works with Villa's academy players and was spotted at Celtic's training HQ in Lennoxtown today as the Hoops were put through their paces ahead of Wednesday's Champions League playoff blockbuster with FC Kairat.
The ex-Villa and Wigan star will have been given a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into Rodgers' coaching methods as Albrighton looks to continue his own coaching journey.
It comes as ex-Foxes teammate Vardy has reportedly set his heart on a sensational switch to Celtic Park.
Ex-England star Vardy, 38, is out of contract after leaving Leicester at the end of last season and has been linked with Napoli, West Ham and Wrexham.
But reports claim the veteran striker would love a crack at life with the Scottish champions, and has set his sights on playing at the highest level for another couple of seasons.

Arsenal transfer news: Mikel Arteta identifies next signing as Real Madrid make statement
Arsenal have spent big so far this summer, bringing in six new signings, and more incomings and outgoings are expected at the Emirates before the transfer window slams shut Arsenal got off to a winning start as they beat Manchester United 1-0 in their Premier League opener on Sunday, with defender Riccardo Calafiori scoring the winner. New signings Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke all made their debuts in that game. The Gunners have spent more than £200million so far this summer, with Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga also making the move to the Emirates. However, more incomings and outgoings are possible before the transfer window slams shut. There are a number of fringe players at the club who could depart, with Nuno Tavares, Marquinhos, Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu having already left this summer. Arteta's next target Mirror Football understands that Mikel Arteta still wants to sign a new left winger this summer, but must sell before he can buy. Leandro Trossard is the player most likely to depart, with Aston Villa, Brentford and several other clubs across Europe interested in the winger. Although Arsenal spent big on Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli started at Old Trafford and Arteta wants to bring in extra qualifty. The Gunners were interested in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, but did not pursue a deal due to concerns he could block the pathway for young stars like Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman. Eze is now expected to join rivals Tottenham instead. Rodrygo statement Real Madrid star Rodrygo has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but new manager Xabi Alonso has insisted he is happy to keep the winger. Rodrygo appeared to have fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu after making just one start under Alonso at the Club World Cup. However, when asked about the Brazilian's future ahead of Real Madrid's opener, Alonso said: "There are a lot of rumours this summer. "He looks good to me. I'm counting on everyone, and I want them to be committed to the team and be at 100 percent. That's what worries me and what's occupying me right now." Kiwior interest AC Milan and Porto are both interested in signing Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, according to a report from the Standard. Kiwior did not make the matchday squad for Arsenal's opener against Manchester United following the signing of Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia earlier this summer. The report states that Arsenal do not want to lose Kiwior, but they 'could be tempted into selling if an offer is too good to turn down'.

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester City have won just four of their last 12 Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur (D2 L6), though beat them 1-0 in their last meeting in February. They last secured consecutive league wins against Spurs between December 2017 and April 2019 (4). Spurs have won two of their last four Premier League games at the Etihad (D1 L1), more than they did in their previous 11 visits combined (D2 L8). Following their 4-0 victory last season, they're looking for consecutive wins away at Man City for the first time since May 2010. The last four Premier League meetings between Manchester City and Tottenham at the Etihad have produced 21 goals (9 for City, 12 for Spurs), with the away side netting at least twice in all four. The last side to score 2+ goals in five consecutive top-flight away games against Man City were Sunderland between 1980 and 2000. Since the start of April, Manchester City have picked up more points than any other Premier League side (26), and are the only ever-present side to remain unbeaten in that time (W8 D2). They also have the most clean sheets (7) and have faced the fewest shots per game of any side in the division since April (7.6). Tottenham Hotspur are looking to win their first two Premier League games in a season for the first time since 2021-22, which was also the last time a manager won his first two league games with Spurs (Nuno Espírito Santo then). They are winless in their last 11 games against non-newly promoted sides, however (D2 L9), since a 1-0 win over Man Utd in February. In all competitions, Pep Guardiola has lost nine games against Tottenham Hotspur in his managerial career, only losing more against Liverpool (10). Spurs are also one of three teams he's faced 10 or more times and won fewer than half of his games against (11/23, 48%), along with Liverpool (6/24, 25%) and Real Madrid (13/27, 48%). Spurs' Thomas Frank led Brentford to a 2-1 victory at the Etihad when he was Bees boss in November 2022. Only two managers have beaten Pep Guardiola away in the league with two clubs – José Mourinho (Real Madrid in 2012, Man Utd in 2018) and Antonio Conte (Chelsea in 2016, Spurs in 2022). Erling Haaland has scored 48 goals in 48 home Premier League appearances for Man City. The only player to hit 50 Premier League home goals in fewer than 50 appearances is Alan Shearer, who scored his 50th home goal in his 47th game. Tijjani Reijnders both scored and assisted in Manchester City's 4-0 win over Wolves on his Premier League debut – no player has ever achieved this in their first two City appearances in the competition, while Reijnders or teammate Rayan Cherki could be the first player since Emmanuel Adebayor in August 2009 to score in their first two Premier League games for the club.

Arsenal v Leeds United
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 14 meetings with Leeds in all competitions (W12 D2), winning each of the last six in a row. Leeds have lost 10 of their last 12 Premier League away games against Arsenal (W2), while they've not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 14 at the Gunners. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 42 Premier League home games against promoted sides (W37 D5), since a 1-0 loss to Newcastle in November 2010. Avoiding defeat here would see them equal the competition's longest run without a home defeat against promoted teams – 43 by Chelsea between 2001 and 2015. Leeds have lost 23 of their last 30 away league matches in London (W4 D3), while in the Premier League they've lost their last seven in a row since a 2-1 win at Brentford on the final day of 2021-22. Arsenal's winner against Manchester United was via a header from Riccardo Calafiori from a corner, their 31st Premier League corner goal since 2023-24 – 11 more than any other side. Their xG from set plays was more than any other side on MD1 (1.02) but their open play xG was the third lowest (0.28), ahead only of Aston Villa and Everton. Leeds started their 2025-26 Premier League campaign with victory over Everton on Monday night. The Whites are looking to win their opening two Premier League games in a season for the first time since 2002-03 under Terry Venables. Daniel Farke has won each of his last two Premier League matches (Brentford 1-2 Norwich in November 2021, Leeds 1-0 Everton on Monday), the first time he's ever won consecutive games in the competition. Of current managers, only Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola are on longer current winning runs (3 each). Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has faced Leeds more often without losing than any other side as Gunners boss in all competitions (P8 W7 D1), winning all five at the Emirates against the Whites. Viktor Gyökeres failed to attempt a single shot on his Premier League debut for Arsenal; the first time since the start of 2023-24 he hasn't had one in a top-flight league match. He was, however, directly involved in 14 goals in 12 appearances against newly promoted sides in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for Sporting (9 goals, 5 assists).
