DDG files motion to block Halle Bailey from taking son to Italy amid mental health concerns

Halle Bailey faces legal battle as DDG raises mental health concerns over their son's trip. Image: X Rapper and YouTuber DDG has filed an emergency motion to prevent 'The Little Mermaid' actress, Halle Bailey, from taking their 17-month-old son, Halo, on a trip to Italy. According to court documents obtained by "PEOPLE", DDG highlights concerns about Bailey's mental health and stability. He claims that Bailey poses an 'imminent emotional and psychological risk' to their son, basing the claims on repeated and documented threats of self-harm. He reportedly filed the documents on Wednesday, June 4, requesting an emergency hearing, stating that Bailey has made plans to fly out with Halo on Saturday. Additionally, he is asking the courts to prevent that from happening, stating that Bailey is not mentally well enough to ensure their child is taken care of and that he worries about what she may do should she leave the court's jurisdiction. According to a recent "TMZ" report, Bailey has filed with the courts to deny the rapper's requests and is asking for permission to be granted for her to take their child to Paris as she has to go work there. The custody battle between DDG and Bailey has been ongoing, with both parties seeking different arrangements. In May, Bailey accused DDG of physical and emotional abuse and filed for a restraining order. Video Player is loading. The 25-year-old actress's request included supervised visits for DDG, to be facilitated by a professional organisation, once a week for six hours while Halo is in Los Angeles (LA). Bailey also asked the court to restrict DDG from taking Halo outside of LA County, citing concerns about child abduction. Additionally, she asked the court to order DDG not to move with Halo without her written permission, to surrender any travel documents and provide detailed travel plans if they do travel together. This included round-trip airline tickets, contact information, and an open ticket for Bailey in case Halo is not returned.

'It is with deep sorrow that, on behalf of the Government and people of Barbados, I extend my sincere condolences to our beloved National Hero, The Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty, on the passing of her father, Ronald Fenty. "I equally extend my condolences to Ronald's friends and loved ones, both here in Barbados and abroad,' she added. Ronald's relationship with Rihanna was complex, marked by periods of reconciliation and conflict. However, his influence on her life and career has been instrumental. In 2019, she filed a lawsuit against him and his business partner, Moses Perkins. Rihanna's lawsuit against her father and his business partner stemmed from their launch of 'Fenty Entertainment' without her consent. The Barbadian singer claimed they used her name to mislead investors and the public into believing she was involved with the company, which damaged her reputation. The lawsuit, filed in 2019, alleged false advertising, invasion of privacy and unauthorised use of her name. Rihanna Robyn Fenty with her father Ronald Fenty. Image: Instagram Rihanna initially sought $75 million (over R1.3 billion) in damages but dropped the lawsuit shortly before it was set to go to trial in 2021, according to the BBC. Even through their conflicts, he was still a devoted father; he supported Rihanna's early beginnings in music and encouraged her to pursue her dreams. His love and guidance helped shape the strong, confident woman Rihanna has become.
