Aaron Rodgers' brother ‘knows nothing' about QB's new wife as family drama swirls

New York Post2 days ago

Some of Aaron Rodgers' family learned about his recent wedding the same way the rest of the world did.
The new Steelers quarterback told reporters Tuesday that he's been married 'a couple months' when asked about the black ring he's been wearing in recent weeks — and many assumed he tied the knot with his girlfriend, Brittani.
The former NFL MVP's younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, and his wife, JoJo Fletcher — whose romance began on season 12 of 'The Bachelorette,' a dating show on ABC — didn't attend his wedding, according to the Daily Mail.
'Jordan and JoJo didn't go to the wedding and don't even know anything really about Brittani,' a source told DM. 'What they've heard is secondhand from his parents [Ed and Darla].

'They are still angry that Aaron didn't go to their wedding [in May 2022]. He didn't want to be with his brother on the biggest day of his life, so why should they twist themselves up over this wedding?'
Rodgers, 41, had previously opened up about his estrangement from his family, including his other brother, Luke, in his Netflix docuseries 'Enigma,' which premiered last December.

In it, he threw shade at Jordan for appearing on 'The Bachelorette' in 2016, calling it a 'bulls–t show.'
Jordan and JoJo reportedly heard that the quarterback's mystery bride isn't a fame seeker.

'Secondhand, they hear that she's willing to stay private and that she's not with him for his fame or money. But they know nothing about her,' the Daily Mail reported.
'This is not a close family unit at all. Right now, JoJo and Jordan are getting the news about the marriage from the internet.'
In his Netflix docuseries, Rodgers said he is open to a reconciliation with his family.

Rodgers didn't elaborate further about his wife while speaking to reporters in Pittsburgh.
For weeks, he had been wearing a black ring in the public eye, which led to speculation about whether he had tied the knot with Brittani.
Rodgers first revealed he had a new girlfriend during a December 2024 appearance on 'The Pat McAfee Show,' explaining that she is a private person.
That is a complete 180 from his past relationships with former race car driver Danica Patrick, and actresses Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley.

Aaron Rodgers Answers Burning Question: Why Is He Still Playing at 41?

PITTSBURGH — Playing out the twilight of his career in the Steel City is as much a spiritual foray for Aaron Rodgers as it is one driven by the desire to sling a football. The four-time NFL MVP and newest Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback loves the game, but, at this point in his odyssey, could bear to live without it. That's exactly what might make the experience so freeing. Advertisement Following his first Steelers practice Tuesday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, Rodgers stood in front of a gaggle of reporters, eager to hear why he joined the team now and what intrigued him about the organization. As one would expect from someone whose Netflix documentary labels him an enigma, his explanation of why he's still at it isn't one many would expect. 'I think that's what it is. I don't need it,' Rodgers said when asked why he still wants to play. 'For my ego, I don't need it — to keep playing. A lot of decisions that I've made over my career and life from strictly the ego, even if they turn out well, they're always unfulfilling. But the decisions made from the soul are pretty fulfilling. This was a decision that was best for my soul, and I felt like being here with Coach (Tomlin) and the guys they got here and the opportunity here was the best for me.' He can argue he's the most gifted passer in the league's history, not to mention he already has a Super Bowl ring. If they haven't understandably cast Super Bowl XLV out of their memory, Steelers fans can recall how he attained it. He hasn't been back to that stage since, however. Advertisement 'I have a lot that motivates me, but this is about the love of the game,' Rodgers said. 'The game has given me so much over the years. And making peace with a nice long career.' Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers Already Bonding with New Teammates

New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is already spending time with his new teammates off the field, as he took part in a charity golf outing for Steelers captain Cam Heyward on Monday. Heyward held his annual Irons for Impact golf outing at Sewickley Heights Golf Club on Monday, and many of the Steelers' stars were in attendance, including Rodgers, new wide receiver DK Metcalf, first-round pick Derrick Harmon and tight end Pat Freiermuth. Advertisement Some Steelers alumni, including Joey Porter Sr., Charlie Batch and Brett Keisel were also participating in the event. Rodgers and Metcalf were photographed riding in a cart together, as the Steelers' starting quarterback and top wide receiver continue to build the relationship that they started over the summer, when they worked out together in California. 'What a great dude who loves football and what a specimen this guy is,' Rodgers said in an April appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. 'I've had a few conversations with DK. I just think he's a super guy. … I wanted to see how I felt to throw with DK and how the juices felt and how the ball came out. It's all those little things and also just get to know DK. Like I said, that's a really good human being.' Advertisement Through The Heyward House, Cam Heyward has raised money and awareness for breast cancer awareness, helped fight illiteracy, childhood hunger, and has given back to those in need through the Craig's Closet program. Heyward was the 2024 winner of the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his excellence both on the field and in the community. Heyward, Rodgers, Metcalf and the rest of the Steelers crew will get together on the field for the team's mandatory minicamp at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, starting on Tuesday. Noticeably absent from the trip to the links was Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt. It remains to be seen whether he will continue his contract dispute with a hold-out over minicamp, or whether he'll attend but not participate, as he did in 2021. It's Game (Almost) Over In the Final Squid Game Trailer

Squid Game has been one of Netflix's biggest hits in recent memory, and we've known for quite a while that the show was reaching the finish line. With just two weeks to go, Netflix has doled out one last trailer to remind auidneces how far Seong Gi-hun/456 has come and how much he's playing for keeps. Last season ended with Gi-hun learning his new game buddy In-ho/001 was actually the Front Man, who then killed his other game buddy, Jung-bae. That's made for one more death weighing on Gi-hun's conscience, and as Jang Geum-ja/149 tells him, life ain't fair and shit happens. But since he's a good person and 'beats [himself] up about the smallest things,' what else can he do but continue trying to bring this whole enterprise down and save the remaining contestants? While surviving players from the previous season are as beat down by everything as Gi-hun, they're not all giving up, and some new faces are equally ready to come out on top. Front Man's brother Jun-ho is trying to make it to the island for a rescue, but everything ultimately hinges on Gi-hun. And that means an eventual reunion with the Front Man, who's preparing for the incoming arrival of several VIPs and whatever the next phase of his plans are. How does it all end, and how will Gi-hun 'put an end to it?' We'll find out when the last six episodes of Squid Game premiere June 27 on Netflix.
