Brooklyn Beckham reaches out to family for first time with sweet words amid feud

Daily Mirror4 hours ago

Brooklyn Beckham has reached out for the first time to his family on social media in a heartfelt gesture.
The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham posted a moving message to his grandma, Sandra. He said: 'Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.' He posted it alongside two love hearts.
It's thought to be the first time he has publicly acknowledged his family with whom he is at the centre of a bitter feud.
But insiders still believe there is no way he will bury the hatchet with his parents. A source said: 'At present it feels like there is too much to overcome.'
It comes as the Mirror revealed last month how their eldest son was in London at the same time as his dad, but kept his visit a secret.
A picture uploaded to Instagram showed Brooklyn sipping a pint in a pub, with bottles of his own-brand hot sauce on the table in front of him.
Innocuous enough to outsiders – but friends of the Beckhams recognised the distinctive light fittings and stark green walls in the background. One pal says: 'The picture was taken in London's Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed.
'The fact that Brooklyn was in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.'
Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had flown to London for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler, which took place less than two miles from the Beckham family home in Holland Park.
Dad David, 50, was not far away – he was pictured with the King at the Chelsea Flower show that day – just three miles from the Wigmore.
A pal reveals: 'Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn't engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up.'
Another Instagram post, made on May 16, showed Brooklyn with Nicola's late grandmother to mark the anniversary of her death. He captioned it: 'I miss you and will love you forever.'
A friend said: 'Brooklyn's heart is of course in the right place…but it hasn't gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola's family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week.'
To acquaintances of the family, the blame for what they believe are 'performative' social media posts lies with heiress Nicola.
They list concerns that she is somehow orchestrating her husband's social media activity, which they claim is out of character, and that she is responsible for 'isolating' Brooklyn from his friends and family.
A pal says: 'She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre.'
But a source close to the couple has hit back at suggestions Nicola is 'controlling' her husband – and insists Brooklyn is very much his own man.
They reveal: 'She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family.'

Kim Kardashian fans ‘terrified' over her bizarre ‘pitgina' as she waves in new photo from Venice trip

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) KIM Kardashian has sparked online debate with a bizarre body detail fans are calling a "pitgina" in new photos from her trip to Venice. On June 26, Kim, 44, waved to onlookers in a tiny bandeau top upon arriving at her Italian hotel for friends Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding this weekend. 6 Kim Kardashian, sister Khloe and their mom Kris Jenner arrived on June 26 to The Gritti Palace hotel in Venice, Italy, stepping off a speedboat to join Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding guests Credit: BackGrid 6 Fans spotted a strange dent in Kim's armpit area Credit: BackGrid 6 Kim later changed into a snakeskin dress to kick off the wedding festivities Credit: Getty Fans immediately spotted a concerning ripple on her underarm area. "Why does it look like a belly button?" one follower asked on a Reddit thread. "What is that? I'm terrified!" said a second. "What kind of 'pitgina' is that?" another replied, leading others to adopt the term- a combination of "armpit" and "vagina." Read More Kim Kardashian KIM THIEF DEAD Kim jewel thief dubbed 'Blue Eyes' dies days after sentencing for $10m raid New York-based plastic surgeon Dr. Norman M. Rowe, M.D. told The U.S. Sun that the dent could be an "axillary hollowing." "An axillary hollowing is essentially a divot or indentation in the armpit area that can result from certain cosmetic procedures," Dr. Rowe explained. "The most common causes include liposuction to the upper arm or armpit, an arm lift or brachioplasty, or breast augmentation when the implant is placed through the transaxillary route—that is, through an incision in the armpit. "In these procedures, tissue is removed or repositioned in a way that can leave behind visible contour changes, especially in someone lean like Kim Kardashian. "While a cyst or an ingrown hair could technically create a lump or swelling in that area, they would rarely create this kind of indentation or volume loss." Kim Kardashian looks incredible on a bed topless in very glamorous new photoshoot - but fans have one complaint Fortunately for Kim, the hollowing could be easily corrected. "A correction would likely involve fat grafting—transferring fat from another area of the body and carefully injecting it into the hollow to restore a smoother, more natural contour," Dr. Rowe said. "It's a quick outpatient procedure with a relatively easy recovery. Most patients are back to normal activities in a few days and see results over the course of a few weeks.' Kim has never acknowledged any past plastic surgery, except for getting Botox injections to smooth out wrinkles. READY FOR ROMANCE? Kim just arrived in the Italian city to celebrate her close friend Lauren Sanchez's wedding to billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. She was spotted giving a close hug to the newly single Orlando Bloom, who is also a wedding guest this weekend. As The U.S. Sun reported, Orlando has split from his partner of nine years, Kim's pal Katy Perry. According to reports, Orlando plans to "hit the dance floor hard" and be the "life of the party" this weekend. Kim is single after dating Odell Beckham Jr. and Pete Davidson, following her divorce from Kanye West in 2021. Her momager Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kylie have joined her for the big wedding. 6 Kim's armpit was exposed during an outing in which she also chatted with Orlando Bloom Credit: Splash 6 Kim wore a skintight dress as she joined her family and friends for the wedding Credit: Getty

And Just Like That's new teaser sparks conspiracy theory that Samantha Jones is BACK after Kim Cattrall season 2 cameo

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SEX and the City fans are convinced that Samantha Jones might make her long-awaited return in an upcoming episode. After Kim Cattrall's bombshell cameo in the Season 2 finale, a teaser from HBO Max has reignited hopes that Samantha might appear in another episode — despite the feud between the lead actresses. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 4 HBO Max shared a teaser for Thursday's episode on Instagram Credit: Instagram 4 Kim Cattrall's cameo as Samantha Jones in the Season 2 finale of And Just Like That Credit: HBO MAX 4 Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis in 1998 Credit: Getty Ahead of Thursday night's episode, Max (soon to be HBO Max) posted a hint at Samantha's comeback with an out-of-context picture from the show. The picture shows someone going to text Samantha Jones. The streaming service simply captioned the post with an eyes emoji, leaving fans to their own devices in the comments. "WE WANT HER. WE NEED HER," one Instagram user wrote. Another added, "Wait is she coming back? i'd start watching the show again." "You guys keep messing up with our hearts like that…," a third wrote, referencing the Season 2 cameo. Cattrall's appearance in last season's finale shocked viewers as the actress had previously said she wasn't interested in starring on the show due to her fallout with lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker. SJP has continued to film the show with the other leads, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, but fans of the iconic '90s series have persistently lamented the absence of the original foursome. The fans' complaints paid off when Samantha took a phone call from Carrie, SJP's character, in the episode that aired in 2023. However, Cattrall didn't have to be in the same room as the other stars to film the short scene — which was likely on purpose. And Just Like That fans are 'crying' over Samantha Jones' cameo on season finale and claim Kim Cattrall 'saved the show' The actress said on The View in 2023 that the show bosses called her and begged her to make a cameo. "It's very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, 'What can we do?'" Cattrall said on the talk show. She said that she responded, "'Hmm, let me get creative.'" One of Cattrall's requirements was that Pat Field, the original costume designer for Sex and the City, work on her outfit for the cameo. Field, who declined to work on AJLT, agreed to dress Samantha again. "I just thought that if I'm going to come back, I gotta come back with that Samantha style. I gotta push it. And we did,' Cattrall said on The View. Cattrall reportedly filmed the scene without seeing or speaking to any of the show's other stars, and she didn't interact with the show's creator, Michael Patrick King, Variety reported at the time. SJP and Cattrall's feud reportedly started when Cattrall found out that the actress was making more per episode than her. The feud came to a head in 2018 when SJP expressed her sympathy after Cattrall's brother died. Cattrall slammed her on X at the time, saying, "My Mom asked me today 'When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?' "Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. 'You are not my family. You are not my friend. 'Stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your 'nice girl' persona." She later publicly said that SJP was never her friend, only her colleague. Parker has denied any bad blood between the two. Fans have yet to see if Parker and Cattrall come face to face in AJLT this season. The Season 3 finale is currently slated for August 14, 2025.

Which? names two Welsh coastal destinations among the best in the UK

Which? names two Welsh coastal destinations among the best in the UK Two Welsh seaside locations have been named as one of the UK's best coastal destinations in the Which? rankings, however another was even named one of the worst. This pretty village in Wales has been compared to Italy for its beautiful buildings and coast (Image: Getty Images ) Wales is known for many things, including rugby, Tom Jones and of course it's beautiful scenery. We are very fortunate to have some of the most stunning beaches on our doorstep, and this has been acknowledged in this year's Which? rankings. The UK's consumer champions surveyed over 3,800 people about their experiences of UK seaside destinations in the last year. They asked those taking part what their views were on a range of things including the quality of the beaches, scenery, food and drink offerings, accommodation, tourist attractions and value for money. ‌ In the end, two Welsh locations made it into the best five seaside finds, along with Bamburgh in Northumberland which took the top spot for the fifth year running. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here . ‌ The esteemed annual seaside survey saw South West spots, particularly those in Devon, basking in popularity, credited in part to the acclaimed film 'The Salt Path'. Meanwhile, destinations across the North East and Wales also received high praise. Portmeirion in Gwynedd, North Wales' colourful Italian inspired village celebrated for its vibrant architecture achieved a commendable 79% rating. With five-star accolades for both its scenery and seafront, a visitor commented: "The place is superb in every way. It's a beautiful setting with wonderful food and accommodation - perfect for a special occasion." The location, which was made iconic by the classic TV series 'The Prisoner', came in third place on the list. They trailed behind the Northumberland village which received an 84% destination score and Beer, a seaside village in Devon with a score of 80%. Article continues below The average cost for a hotel stay in Portmeirion works out as roughly £134 per night. You can read about one Wales Online reporter's experience of staying overnight in the surreal Welsh Village with no residents here. In fourth place on the list was another Welsh gem that won over visitors. St Davids in Pembrokeshire, the UK's smallest city, it also matched Portmeirion's 79% destination score. A view over St Davids (Image: (Image: Getty) ) ‌ A visitor praised St Davids for its "excellent facilities, lovely seafront, nice walks and excellent hotels." One reporter for Wales Online said that "there's nowhere like it", when they visited the location. You can read more here. Another Pembrokeshire town featured on the list just behind places like Tynemouth in Tyne and Wear and Dungeness in Kent. Eighth on the list was Tenby, which beat out renowned resort areas like St Ives, Brighton and Margate. Rory Boland, Editor of Which? said: "From beautiful coastlines to peaceful walks and charming traditional bucket and spade resorts, the UK seaside offers something for everyone - whatever the weather. ‌ "While you may have your own favourite destination, as well as the top spots in Devon and Wales, our survey shows there are still plenty of beautiful hidden gems across the UK to explore. "Some seaside resorts offer better value for money than others, so it is worth looking at surrounding areas of popular spots if you are looking for a cheaper overnight stay." The least popular location on the list was Bognor Regis, which in the past has been celebrated as one of the sunniest spots in mainland Britain. It has now languished at the bottom of the holiday destination table with a mere 36% rating, earning just one star across most judged areas. A disappointed visitor described it as "'a run-down seaside town". ‌ Trailing just slightly better was Bangor in Gwynedd, which scored a very disappointing 38% where its "shabby" state didn't go unnoticed. However, it has gone up a spot from being last year's 'worst seaside town in the UK'. Yet, amidst criticism, someone commended the area for its "stunning views across the Menai Straits" and considered it an excellent gateway to North Wales and Anglesey. (Image: Getty ) Bangor may lack a traditional beach but boasts a Victorian-era landmark pier, virtually unchanged since Lord Penrhyn inaugurated it in 1896. Last year, one of our reporters was disappointed to hear that the North Walian city had been declared the 'worst seaside town in the UK' (especially as it isn't a town) and decided to write about her love for where she grew up, you can read more here.
