EastEnders pulled from BBC iPlayer on Monday as new boss issues statement
With 'something big' on the horizon to kick things off the new chapter, Monday's (June 16) edition of the long-running serial will be withheld from BBC iPlayer until after it's broadcast on BBC One at 7:30pm.
EastEnders, as audiences know, traditionally drops daily episodes on BBC iPlayer from 6am, over 12 hours before they transmit on telly.
But this service will not be available to fans on Monday, who will instead have to wait until the evening to get their daily Walford fix.
'Next week marks the start of something big in Walford that we hope will get everyone talking, and it's only just the beginning,' said Executive Producer Ben, teasing what's to come.
'We've got twists, shocks, and plenty of drama lined up for a summer you don't want to miss.'
The excitement is real.
Monday's episode will pick up following Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie's (Shane Richie) special wedding day and Jean (Gillian Wright) is yet again on the warpath, making it her mission to sabotage Harvey (Ross Boatman) and Kathy's (Gillian Taylforth) new business venture.
Alfie does his best to stop her interference but he's soon distracted by a phone call from Stacey (Lacey Turner).

The offering in question will be the first tribute to Ben Wadey, who takes over from Chris Clenshaw.
Under Chris' reign, EastEnders won a string of awards – including a whopping eight at the Soap Awards last month – and received acclaim on a regular basis.

EastEnders' Jack raging as Oscar makes confession in early BBC iPlayer release
This article contains spoilers for tonight's EastEnders, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer. Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) was left brimming with rage in tonight's EastEnders when Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) unwittingly confessed to attacking Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker). The teen broke into his house in a bid to steal his winnings from the bookies, hoping to pay off an old associate who was threatening his family. However, he hadn't bargained on Patrick arriving home, and when he tried to stop the thief leaving with the cash, they got into a scuffle, with Patrick banging his head on the floor and falling unconscious. The attack left the pensioner hospitalised, but thankfully, he was able to return home after a few days. It hasn't been without consequence though, as Patrick has been suffering with major anxiety since the break in. He isn't the only one, however, as Oscar's troubles have followed him to Albert Square, and seen him threatened and attacked himself. Terrified that the thugs may still be after him despite having been paid off, Oscar stayed up clutching a knife, only to pull it on Peter Beale (Thomas Law) in a panic. In tonight's episode, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) was determined to get to the bottom of what was causing the tension between Oscar and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson). Viewers will know that Howie found evidence proving that Oscar had been Patrick's attacker, and had blackmailed him and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) in exchange for his silence. In a bid to ease his guilt, Oscar has been providing companionship for Patrick, though this has rubbed Howie the wrong way and been the catalyst for their recent squabbles. When Lauren asked Jack if he'd seen Oscar, he revealed that he had scrapped with Howie at Patrick's stag do, before asking Lauren if she knew what that was about. Lauren denied any knowledge, revealing her shock that Howie would be involved in a violent altercation. When Jack insisted they were hiding something, Lauren pointed out that Oscar was mouthy and often picking fights. She elaborated by revealing that he was having a hard time adjusting to the outside world after his time in the juvenile detention centre before explaining the incident with the knife to her uncle. Jack was horrified and later confronted Oscar, telling him that Lauren had told him everything. However, he didn't realise that that wasn't the case, as there was more to the story than Lauren had let on. Unfortunately, Oscar wasn't to know that and unintentionally confessed to Patrick's attack himself. More Trending Jack went through a whole host of emotions in a matter of milliseconds, from confusion to horror to rage. Now that he knows the truth, what will he do? BBC confirms future of Celebrity Traitors in major series announcement
EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Traitors is on the way and fans of the popular entertainment show hosted by Claudia Winkelman don't have long to wait to watch the famous faces take on the roundtable The BBC have confirmed when Celebrity Traitors can expect to air. The smash hit reality show hosted by Claudia Winkleman has taken the world by storm with the British edition becoming a staple of the BBC's annual calendar. A spin-off version has since been filmed with celebrities instead of civilians and fans don't have long to wait to watch the drama unfold. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival 2025, Syeda Irtizaali, Interim BBC Director of Unscripted, confirmed that the series would premiere in October 2025. She said, "I was worried about how they were going to play it compared to members of the public, but we have nothing to worry about. Some of the things you'll see them doing are extraordinary." The star-studded line-up for the celebrity spin-off was previously confirmed as actor Stephen Fry, actor Mark Bonnar, comedian Lucy Beaumont, content creator Niko Omilana, comedian Nick Mohammed, EastEnders star Tameka Empson, singer Paloma Faith, Olympian Tom Daley, and actor Ruth Codd. Also, singer Cat Burns, comedian Alan Carr, singer Charlotte Church, actor Celia Imrie, broadcaster Clare Balding, historian David Olusoga, former England rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Joe Wilkinson, broadcaster Kate Garraway, and TV presenter Jonathan Ross. The BBC also previously confirmed that the main Traitors series will also return for its fourth run in early 2026, likely keeping its usual winter slot. Previously addressing what fans can expect from Celebrity Traitors, host Claudia said: "We're incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. "I'd love to say we'll take it easy on them and they'll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie." We're used to seeing Faithfuls and Traitors playing to win for themselves or their loved ones, but the celebrities will play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing's George Clarke lets slip 'huge spoiler' on podcast
Youtube star George Clarke is among the celebrities competing in the upcoming season of Strictly. Strictly Come Dancing's George Clarke may have accidentally let slip who he is paired with before the BBC's official announcement. The YouTuber was unveiled as the sixth celebrity in the official line up for Strictly 2025 as the show enters its 23rd season. The social media star is well known online for his comedy content. He also co-hosts The Useless Hotline podcast which is where he may have accidentally spilled the beans. In a chat on his podcast with co-host Max Balegde, the 25-year-old revealed there's one professional dancer he's already met. As he recounted the audition process, George told listeners that he was partnered with a pro and rehearsed with her for an hour. He said: "I've not met anyone apart from, I believe her name's Lauren [Oakley], who was the pro that I met. "Because when we had a interview for it, so it's like an hour long interview, and then like an hour long dance session." Lauren has been a professional dancer on the BBC One flagship show since 2022. She has competed with two celebrities, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, who placed eighth, and JB Gill last year, after taking over from fellow pro Amy Dowden during the season, who withdrew due to injury. George explained that he had performed with Lauren in front of 'two lovely women from the production team that were just sat at what basically looked like a judge's desk'. He said he had to learn a jive with Lauren during the audition, as well as a 'little Latin number he couldn't remember the name of'. However, he did say that he did not know whether this would factor in his official pairing, since that reveal is yet to be announced in the coming days. The Youtube star confirmed his Strictly debut on BBC Radio 1's Going Home Drivetime Show on August 12. Speaking of the news, he said: "Never thought I'd say this, but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in and potentially fall over a fair bit." When he was revealed as the sixth star, George joked: "I feel like a lot of people will still be saying, who?" He added: "I was meant to be doing a marathon at the end of the month. Can't really do that, because I'm dancing. So I've had to be like, 'Oh God, I'm still training. I promise.'' Strictly 2025 will come as the BBC programmes' 23rd series with the show set to return in September. The show's return comes after Strictly has just faced a fresh scandal after claims of cocaine use by two stars with reports suggesting their substance use was an open secret on the show. It follows a turbulent few years of controversial allegations including backstage bullying, misconduct claims and several stars being axed or suspended by the BBC as a result of their behaviour.
