CM Naidu failed to deliver promises, resorting to politics of diversion, alleges Jagan Mohan Reddy
Stating that the YSR Congress Party will release a QR Code-based website in the name of 'Recalling of CBN Manifesto', from where people could easily access all the assurances given by the NDA alliance during the general elections 2024, the party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has failed in delivering any of the 'Super Six' assurances.
Alleging that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was ''scared of his failure in governance and his impatience manifested in politics of diversion and foisting of false cases'' against political opponents, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, at a press conference at his residence on Thursday, said the overwhelming response to his recent tours was a testimony to the huge anti-incumbency that rose within one year.
He alleged that Mr. Chandrababu Naidu cheated people by not implementing Stri Nidhi, free bus travel, Deepam and other schemes even one year after assuming office and Talliki Vandanam was only partially implemented.
Mr. Naidu has been behaving like a ''dictator by trying to suppress any dissent and gag the voices of those who question misuse of police''. 'The modus operandi is to catch the small fry, use coercion to seek confession and file cases against popular YSRCP leaders,'' he alleged, adding the people of Andhra Pradesh have been observing this.
'Anti-incumbency'
Stating that the 'Betrayal Day' organised recently by the YSRCP got an overwhelming response, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that it reflected the growing anti-incumbency.
'My visit to Sattenapalli on Wednesday in a curfew-like situation shows the measure of repressive methods being adopted by Mr. Chandrababu Naidu government. What is wrong if the Opposition leader visits to console a family and people are coming in large numbers as they are vexed with the government and are looking towards YSRCP? Even during the Podili visit the government tried to scuttle the event by imposing huge restrictions when crowds came to see me. A handful of TDP workers tried to disrupt the meeting while farmers who came in large numbers had maintained restraint. Yet, cases were filed against farmers and not those who tried to disrupt the rally,' Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
'False cases'
The YSRCP leaders and those close to him were being jailed based on fabricated cases and confession statements of a few 'insignificant' people. The latest liquor-related case filed against YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy was also a similar one, he said.
'Bhaskar Reddy's gunman has filed a case with documentary and visual evidence of his torture and moved the court. This is how Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishnamohan Reddy, Raj Kasireddy, Nandigama Suresh and others were held and they are trying to implicate Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and P.V. Mithun Reddy,' he added.
Alleging that the TDP workers and leaders attacked Sakshi properties across the State, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked what action was taken by the Chief Minister.

Water disputes between Andhra, Telangana should be resolved amicably: Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada, June 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu suggested that the water disputes on utilising the Godavari and Krishna river waters should be resolved amicably between the AP and Telangana governments. Addressing a press conference in the secretariat at Amaravati near here today, the Chief Minister responded to Telangana's objection over the 'Banakacharla' project suggesting that both Telugu states use Godavari waters together, especially the waters that would otherwise flow into the sea. Naidu said: 'Both the States are already using Godavari water. Apart from Polavaram, other projects have not received formal approval. As per the Reorganisation Act, Polavaram is under construction. We are transferring water to another basin from the last reaches of the Godavari stream.' Chandrababu Naidu recalled previous disputes between the officials of both States over the Krishna Barrage and how they were resolved through discussions with the Governor. 'It's not beneficial to fight over the limited Krishna waters. Let us continue with existing project-wise allocations until the new tribunal finalises fresh allocations. I started many projects in united Andhra Pradesh, including Devadula and Kalwakurthy. We fought in the Assembly over Yellampalli. I never objected to the Kaleshwaram project,' Chandrababu Naidu reminisced. The CM questioned why there should be disputes over water usage that would otherwise flow into the ocean. 'If legal clarity is required, we can discuss it with the Centre. Creating conflict over such usage is unreasonable. No one benefits from water disputes between the two states, it only misleads the public. There is no need for conflict,' the Chief Minister observed. UNI DP RN

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan and several other dignitaries are expected to attend the mega event. Over five lakh people are anticipated to participate in the mass yoga session in Vizag. "We've imposed restrictions on fishing activity from fishing harbour to Bheemili coast due to the scale of the International Yoga Day event. Adoni MLA draws flak over casteist remarks, tenders apology
Tirupati: Adoni BJP MLA Dr P Venkata Parthasarathi has tendered an apology after his casteist-remarks' video drew criticism from the Dalit and SC-ST communities and from various quarters as well. The Adoni MLA, who went to attend an official programme at Dhanapuram village on June 16, was addressing the villagers from a makeshift stage erected close to the local temple premises. In the video which is going viral, the MLA calls for local sarpanch Chandrasekhar to come onto the stage. But when he can't find the sarpanch, Parthasarathi asks the leaders on the stage if Chandrasekhar was a Christian. Then a local leader identified as Gudise Krishnamma tells the MLA that Chandrasekhar belongs to the SC community, and Chandrasekhar stops himself from going up onto the stage. Various pro-Dalit organisations and human rights forums strongly condemned the incident and demanded an apology from the ruling party legislator after the video of the incident went viral on various social media platforms since Wednesday. Meanwhile, Adoni MLA Parthasarathi clarified that he himself was from the BC community and had taken part in many Dalit movements in the past. "I had no intention to hurt anyone's sentiments on the caste or religious lines. The local sarpanch Chandrasekhar had recently joined the BJP from the YSRCP and when I called up his name to come onto the stage and he wasn't seen anywhere, I doubted if he belonged to Christianity and was reluctant to come onto the stage which was close to the temple premises," he said. Recalling his association with numerous groups fighting for Dalit rights, Parthasarathi stated that he was tendering an open apology if the incident had hurt the sentiments of the Dalit groups and others.
