Coronation Street's Sam plays a trick on terrified Lily in revenge plot
Young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) was recently traumatised by a terrifying incident in Coronation Street. Murderer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) had escaped from prison, and turned up at Weatherfield High looking for his daughter Joanie (Savanna Pennington).
As the menacing figure appeared in the school, some of the pupils recognised him and fled in fear for their lives.
Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) rushed into a nearby classroom and locked the door. Sam was right behind her, but as he made for the safety of the classroom, Lily refused to let him in. Sam was left in the corridor at the mercy of Mick.
Luckily Mick was focused on the hunt for Joanie and Sam wasn't hurt, but the fear he experienced has stayed with him and is seriously affecting him.
Having heard about Lily's actions, Nick (Ben Price), Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Leanne (Jane Danson) have been left concerned about what happened and worried that Sam's ordeal will have affected him, especially given that his mother died at the hands of an escaped prisoner – an event that left him deeply traumatised.

In upcoming episodes Sam is unable to cope when the family assemble at the bistro for Audrey (Sue Nicholls)'s birthday tea. He hides in the office, shaking with fear.
There's worse to come when David (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona (Julia Goulding) try to get Lily to apologise to Sam for her actions, but she tells him that she locked him out of the classroom on purpose. Sam can't believe she would be so callous and the pair argue furiously.
Peace seems to have been restored later when the two cousins both attend Eco Club and Nick and Toyah are relieved that they're getting on again.
But Sam has other ideas. Lily has made a poster and Sam isn't very impressed by it. After sneering at the poster, Sam tells Lily that there have been six burglaries in the area in recent days. He says that the burglars move the furniture around.

When Lily gets home she's spooked to find the door ajar. When she goes inside, she sees that the furniture has been moved around. Fearing that they've been burgled, she screams in panic.
Has Sam just got his revenge on Lily? And if so, will that be the end of their feud?
It's not the end of Sam's ordeal.
As he opens up to Toyah about how the incident in the school affected him, he tells her he's been having panic attacks and is living with constant anxiety, it seems he's still feeling deeply troubled by everything that's happened.

Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls sparks outrage as he calls out co-star's weight live on air
Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls co-hosted the show with Charlotte Hawkins Good Morning Britain 's Ed Balls left his colleagues taken aback with a remark about Charlotte Hawkins' weight during a live broadcast. The 58-year-old presenter, known for stirring up heated debates on the ITV morning show, was cautioned by his GMB co-stars this time around. Following Melvin Odoom 's conclusion of the entertainment news on Tuesday, Ed and Charlotte were amused by a throwback clip showcasing one of her initial TV gigs, leaving her blushing as she was surprised by producers. Charlotte had featured in a fashion piece on This Morning and jokingly remarked, "There's a reason why people don't see that." Ed then asked the audience, "Has Charlotte aged well or badly?" reports the Mirror. He complimented her, saying, "I think you've aged beautifully; you almost look younger now than then." However, he followed up with a less flattering comment, "Back then, you were a bit more podgy," while motioning towards his face and chin. Despite Charlotte taking it in stride with laughter, Melvin interjected with a cautionary, "Ed, move on!" Viewers expressed their disbelief, with one commenting, "Did Ed really just say Charlotte looked fat when she was younger? Has he looked in the mirror lately? He's so rude." Another viewer predicted, "He'll be up in front of the producers for that quip." Charlotte has been a staple on GMB since 2020, delivering news updates and frequently filling in for Susanna Reid. Earlier in the year, she surprised her fans by disclosing her age as 50, receiving support from admirers and colleagues alike when she shared her ambition to write a book. She felt that nearing "50 years on this earth fast approaching" was "the right time to try to make [her] childhood dream a reality". "You'd definitely write best-selling FICTION because no way are you 50??? Can't wait to read the book and celebrate with you – happy birthday, gorgeous!" Kate Garraway commented. One admirer remarked, "Happy birthday, Charlotte. You do not look 50. Have a fabulous day, and many happy returns for Friday." "I'm sure you'll be a literary success, 50! You still look 30," another person chimed in. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.

She set the record straight prior to stepping foot in the Mallorca villa LOVE Island star Toni Laites' mum has clapped back at rumours she's suing ITV after making her new TikTok account private. The proud parent became the centre of attention after deleting social media videos calling out a host of ITV2 stars, despite only setting up the page weeks ago. 6 Love Island star Toni Laites's mum has revealed the real reason she made her TikTok account private Credit: Instagram 6 Florida-based Leslie entered the villa last night Credit: Eroteme 6 American bombshell Toni's mum said speculation she was suing ITV was 'not real' Credit: Eroteme It came just hours before Florida-based Leslie sent show fans into a frenzy as she took the long-haul flight to the Mallorca villa. ITV previously confirmed the return of the very popular Meet The Family segment, set to air in the lead-up to the final. The feature, which sees Islanders reunited with their family members and friends inside the villa, has long been a staple of the series. On Tuesday, fans weren't disappointed as Leslie, dressed in a black bandeau dress adorned with a pink petal pattern came to chat to Toni and her Love Island partner, Cach. Shortly before the reunion, she took to her TikTok page to address the mounting speculation she was taking legal action against the broadcaster. The rumour started on a Love Island fan page and Leslie said: "My accounts were set to private because I had other stuff to do not because myself and Shakira's mum are suing ITV. "We are definitely not, that rumour should be put to rest immediately. "There's even a rumour that she and I were spotted in London together with an attorney, also 100 per cent fake news." Leslie added: "It is not real. Love Island star Toni's mum reveals how she really feels about Harrison's exit after hittng out at her daughter "I cant wait for you guys to see the episode and we will talk about it." She then wrapped her chat with the words: "Other than that, I just wanted to reassure you we are all good, just no lawsuit. "Hope you have a great night." Toni's mum has been a regular online commenting on the antics on the matchmaking show. She previously broke down in tears and told how she was "really disappointed" in her daughter after she left Cach and reunited with Harrison. She then told how she really felt about bombshell Harrison's exit in another clip. VILLA ENTRY On Tuesday's episode, Toni was sitting on the terrace, when suddenly she heard her mum Leslie shout: 'Is Toni here? Where's Toni?' Realising friends and family have come to visit the Villa, Toni raced down the stairs to greet her mum who had flown in from Florida. Toni's best friend Marielle also made the trip and she joked of being in the Villa: 'It's like meeting our Sims in real life!' As they caught up, talk turned to her daughter's romantic relationships in the Villa, and Leslie said: 'The Harrison thing - I'd love to know what voodoo spell he put on you.' Toni replied: 'Sometimes you have to get burned 150 times before you can't get burnt anymore.' Leslie insisted of Cach: 'You have the most amazing man. His morals, his ethics, his calm demeanour when he is confronted with a bad situation… he is my king.' Toni laughingly replied: 'No, he's my king - back off!' FAN FAVE Toni and Cach have had a bumpy romance so far on the show, hindered by Toni and Harrison's will-they-won't-they situation. Casa Amor lad Cach is now coupled up with American stunner Toni, despite his embarrassment and tears after she ditched him for Harrison at a previous recoupling. His sister then grilled Toni on making Cach cry yet despite the awkward chat, fans were elated at Leslie's appearance on-screen. They praised the American, and her reaction to Toni's man, and one wrote on Instagram: "Toni's mum is a sweetheart !! Cach deserved those words for sure." A second posted: "Toni's mum has stated EVERY FACT. Cach handled it very well. His parents must be SO SO proud." A third noted: "Toni's mum, what a beautiful woman she is." One then added: "Okay that speech from Toni's mom made me tear up a little… Cach what an incredible guy." Another surmised: "I love this and Toni's mum is so beautiful and she deserves the world." 6 Leslie told her TikTok page speculation she had met with an attorney was 'fake news' Credit: TikTok / lipglossles 6 Fans praised Leslie's reaction to Cach on the ITV2 show Credit: Eroteme
