Watch Anthony Anderson's Mom Rebrand ABC's Biggest Shows, From ‘The View' to ‘The Golden Bachelorette'
To kick off his final guest monologue on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Thursday night, Anderson explained that his mother sent an email to the producers of the show, with a series of requests to make the day special. 'And I swear to God, all of this is true,' he prefaced, before reading through her demands.

'It says tiara and birthday sash with her name, uh huh. Balloons,' Anderson listed. 'Six 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' hats, a picture of her hung on the wall, strawberry and lemon cake. It's unclear if she was asking for two separate cakes or a combo of flavors. Cheetos, Doritos, and watermelon.'
'A platter of radishes with ranch, donuts, and other unhealthy s–t,' he continued. 'She doesn't want seaweed or other healthy things they usually put in the dressing rooms. Hennessy and Bailey's.'
The list only went on from there and, according to Anderson, the staff actually ended up accommodating his mothers requests. He then joked that he got a call just before the show from the network, saying that she 'got to them too.' From there, a commercial began running, revealing that 'this Summer, ABC is adding a D,' for Doris.
'All your favorite ABC shows, starring the 'Black-ish' guy's mom!' the voiceover cheerily announced. 'First, it's too damn early, with 'Good Mama America.''
'Where's that sexy-ass Michael Strahan?' Doris asks from behind the desk of 'Good Morning America,' wearing her sleep attire. 'I want to slide up into his tooth gap, baby.'
The list went on to include 'Judge Mama' in place of 'Judge Judy,' 'Mama Medical' taking over for 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'The Golden Bachelo-Doris' and even 'The View,' though that didn't get renamed. Instead, Doris simply played each one of the hosts, acting out a dramatic Hot Topics discussion, complete with the ripping of a wig.
'How you like that?!' she bellows as an imitation of host Joy Behar.

President Donald Trump's administration isn't just taking aim at late night hosts, as they've now turned their attention to daytime programming. The White House had some strong words to say about The View co-host Joy Behar after she said Trump was 'so jealous' of former President Barack Obama. During an earlier press conference, in an attempt to distract from questions about the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump accused Obama of 'treason' and his administration of trying to 'steal' the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. In response, Obama spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush called Trump's claims 'outrageous,' 'bizarre' and a 'weak attempt at distraction.' On The View, Behar also had some thoughts. 'First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama,' she said, referring to the deadly insurrection on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which was mostly led by Trump's supporters. 'The thing about him is he's so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: trim, smart, handsome, happily married and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy,' Behar added. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers then clapped back at the View co-host in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, which read, 'Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's no surprise that The View's ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.' Over the past week, Trump has been firing off attacks at late night hosts after it was announced that Stephen Colbert's The Late Show would be coming to an end in May 2026. CBS, which is owned by Paramount Global, cited a 'financial decision' amid a declining linear TV landscape for the cancellation. However, there has been other speculation swirling as the news came shortly after Paramount agreed to pay $16 million to settle a lawsuit from Trump, who sued over former Vice President Kamala Harris' 60 Minutes interview. Sources previously told THR that Paramount believes the lawsuit posed a threat to Skydance's deal to acquire the company, as it seeks approval by the FCC under the Trump administration. Colbert has openly criticized the settlement on his CBS show. Following the news, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to positively gloat about The Late Show being canceled, writing, 'I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!' Colbert later clapped back at the president, saying on his show, 'How dare you, sir? Tracee Ellis Ross Rejected Oprah Winfrey Calling Her The "Poster Child For Singledom": "I Don't Want To Be That"
Tracee Ellis Ross is reflecting on Oprah's comments about her ongoing single status. The moment came in an episode of Tracee's new series, Solo Traveling With Tracee Ellis Ross, which finds the Emmy-winning actor exploring the joys of the world as a single and childless woman. Reflecting on the freedom of solo travel, Tracee said, "So much of what traveling is about, is for me, not waiting for something in order to walk towards my life, in order to be in my life, in order to experience my life. I think that was why I took my first trip solo. And I know that in some ways — I mean, Oprah said it. She said that I'm the poster child for singledom. I don't want to be that." Instead, Tracee prefers to reframe the conversation as someone living on their own terms and not waiting for traditional things to add value and meaning to their life. "I want to be the poster child for being an inhabitant in your own skin," Tracee said. "For living in your own skin." Although some might see being single and childless at an older age as a negative, Tracee, 52, says it has afforded her a freedom and an experience that she might not have otherwise had. "Yes, I am a single Black woman who does not have children, but not having a relationship — long, long relationships — not having children has allowed me to explore things of my own humanity," she reflected. "It has deposited me here at 52 in an extraordinary experience that is filled with joy, loneliness, grief, exuberance, delight, like, literally all of it. And I feel available to it." While Tracee didn't specify when Oprah's comments occurred, they appear to be from a 2020 interview on her Your Live in Focus series, where Oprah told Tracee how many single women view her as "an example of what being an unmarried woman could and should look like." When asked if she ever imagined playing that role, Tracee laughed, "No. I, like many of us, was taught to grow up dreaming of my wedding, not of my life." She added, "I spent many years dreaming of my wedding, and also, waiting to be chosen. Well, here's the thing. I'm the chooser. And I can choose to get married if I want to, but in the meantime, I am choicefully single, happily, gloriously single." She repeated that message in a 2021 interview with Harper's Bazaar: "People are like, 'You're the poster child for being single.' And I was like, 'Great.' But what I would prefer is that I'm the poster child for living my life on my terms. And that there's a version of that for everyone. I don't live my life for other people. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' is being heralded as a return to form for Marvel Studios after much of Phase 4 and 5 entries were considered rocky. TheWrap critic William Bibbiani called it a first-rate movie for Marvel's First Family. In his review he said, ''The Fantastic Four: First Steps,' whatever its drawbacks, feels like a real Fantastic Four movie, and that's no small achievement. It'll never be as important or influential as the comics but it does feel like an idyllic summer afternoon, sitting under a shady tree and thumbing through back issues of a marvelous series with endearing characters.
