River Island's 'gorgeous' yellow dress hailed as ideal for summer weddings
River Island shoppers can't get enough of a "gorgeous" dress that's become a hit on social media. The much-loved high street chain has done it again with what looks like another popular piece.
The retailer is delighting fashionistas with the Yellow Sleeveless Corset Detail Midi Dress, priced at €132. On offer in both sunshine yellow and classic white, the dress is up for grabs in an array of sizes, though they're flying off the shelves quickly.
With features including a v-neck, no sleeves, adjustable straps, a midi cut, and a zip fastener, the dress's standout corset detail provides an elegant shape.
Constructed from 97% cotton and 3% elastane, River Island suggests that the garment should be cool ironed and machine washed on a mild 30°C cycle. Customers should avoid both tumble drying and dry cleaning, according to the brand's recommendations.
The viral Instagram channel @galslovehighstreet showcased the River Island sensation in a video post, captioned: "It's screaming Italian wedding guest."
The social media post has garnered over 1,800 likes and loads of comments from eager fashion enthusiasts, reports Belfast Live.
Among the feedback, a shopper commented: "Love this colour," while another added: "Gorgeous."
An excited customer shared their enthusiasm, posting: "This looks soooo flattering."
Another person expressed their adoration, saying: "I love this dress so much."
And one more chimed in with: "I'm obsessed."
Nevertheless, some shoppers raised concerns, with one remarking on the hefty price tag: "I want this but €132 wow," and another echoed the sentiment: "Stunning, but that price is mental."
A particular shopper voiced a specific critique, commenting: "Get rid of that massive zip and whack a bow on the back and that's an amazing occasion dress!".
Despite the criticisms, many continued to lavish compliments on the yellow frock. A comment declared: "Absolutely gorgeous", another enamoured fan wrote: "Fave colour."
Yet another simply stated: "Stunning" while someone else was emphatic with: "Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous."
An Instagrammer couldn't hide their excitement: "Oh my god! ! I love this dress!".
One succinctly put: "Need," while another admirer mused: "It's such a beautiful colour."
