The actor says, 'As an actor, I've never played a role with so many layers—it's complex and well-written. I know some might draw parallels with another show, but Mangal Lakshmi stands on its own. The audience's response to Adit and Mangal's dynamic is what matters. Negative comments don't affect me; I focus on the role given to me and work hard towards it.'
Naman, who returned to television after six years, sees the show as a significant turning point.
'Mangal Lakshmi has been a game-changer for me. It's the perfect comeback.'
The actor has previously appeared in shows such as Kkavyanjali, Kasamh Se, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Kairi — Rishta Khatta Meetha. Talking to us earlier, he said, 'My mom, wife, and mother-in-law constantly share their opinions. They appreciate the character even when he leans grey. For them, performance matters more than whether a character is likeable. Adit is flawed but real—and that resonates with people.'

Mangal Lakshmi actor Naman Shaw on skipping gym and finding fitness in everyday life; says ‘My job is my cardio'
Television actor Naman Shaw, currently seen as Adit Saxena in Mangal Lakshmi, opened up about how his hectic shooting schedule often keeps him away from the gym — but that doesn't stop him from staying fit. 'Gymming is tough with our tight schedule, so I squeeze it in whenever I can — maybe three or four times a month,' Naman candidly shared. Instead, he focuses more on his eating habits. 'I prioritize my diet, avoiding unhealthy junk food and outside food. I also try to limit my sweet intake, despite loving them.' While regular workouts take a backseat, Naman believes his workday itself doubles up as fitness time. 'Our job itself is a workout! We stand on set for 8-10 hours a day — that's like cardio. The distance between my makeup room and the set is quite a bit, and I make 10-20 trips a day. Whenever I get free time, I take a walk around the sets.' He sums up his fitness mantra in one line: 'It's all about lifestyle, really!' Interestingly, when he's not on set, Naman finds natural ways to stay active — like pitching in with household chores. 'I feel the house belongs to both the man and the woman. I love taking care of my home, whether it's cleaning the kitchen or sweeping the floors. During the pandemic, we all shared responsibilities. I take pride in helping my wife — it's all about teamwork.' With a career spanning several popular shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasamh Se, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Naman proves that fitness isn't always about dumbbells and diets — it can be built into your everyday life.
