The Sun revealed Tom had signed up for the series back in October 2024.
An insider said at the time: 'He's always been a top target for reality show bookers, but his team knew he had the pick of the crop.
'The first series of the celebrity edition blows I'm A Celebrity and Strictly out the water, really, and Tom knows it will be hugely fun to film.
'He'll make a great player too, as no one would suspect misdeeds from such a baby-faced lad.'

Peaky Blinders creator says Ozzy Osbourne's music is ‘the Birmingham soundtrack'

The 65-year-old, who grew up in the Birmingham area and whose BBC crime drama is set in the city, told the PA news agency that the procession, which saw Osbourne's family travel through Birmingham with his hearse, saw an 'outpouring of love' for the singer and the city from fans who gathered on the route. Knight told PA: 'He and Tony Iommi, and Geezer (Butler), and all of those people, I don't know whether people know that they're from a pretty tough part of town and they had quite tough lives, and they just sort of decided to do this thing, to make this music. 'The music, it's so Birmingham because they were working in factories, and that work was very, very noisy, I worked occasionally in factories, and there is always a rhythm. 'There's always a dominant machine, it's like, 'bang, bang, bang', and they just turn that into music, and that's why I think it is the Birmingham soundtrack, heavy metal, and then people underestimate how popular metal is all over the world, so it's incredible.' The procession saw Osbourne's widow Sharon, son Jack and daughters Aimee and Kelly stop at the Black Sabbath bench in the city to inspect tributes, with thousands of fans lining the route around Birmingham. Knight's latest project is Built In Birmingham: Brady And The Blues, a new Prime Video series he has worked as executive producer on which focuses on Birmingham City, the football team he supports, and their takeover by American footballer Tom Brady and US businessman Tom Wagner. In the series' first episode, Knight remarks that people from Birmingham 'don't like to shout about' their city. He explains: 'I think amongst Brummies, there's this thing of, 'don't get too big for your boots', and so anybody who starts shouting out about Birmingham will get that reaction, or previously would have got that reaction. 'But I do feel, really do sense the change in the city, and in the population of the city, the people are actually saying, 'well, it's our turn', and it really is.' Knight is best known for his Peaky Blinders series, which follows Tommy Shelby and his Birmingham gang of the series' name, and has covered topics such as the rise of fascism, Irish republican politics and communist activities through the period following the First World War across its six series. The producer was also one of the creators of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and the sole creator of SAS: Rogue Heroes. He is also making a movie in conjunction with Oasis's Live 25 reunion tour. The Built In Birmingham: Brady And The Blues series will launch worldwide on Prime Video on Friday.

The Masked Singer's Mo Gilligan accused of being 'deadbeat dad' by secret child's mother

Mo Gilligan from ITV The Masked Singer has been branded a 'deadbeat dad' by the mother of his 18-month-old son who he rarely sees Mo Gilligan has reportedly fathered a child in secret and now has another baby on the way. The Masked Singer star is currently preparing to welcome his first child with partner Taia Tulher, 28. ‌ While Mo, 37, is said to be thrilled about the upcoming arrival with his model girlfriend, the mother of his first child has publicly accused him of being a "deadbeat dad" as she claims he has little to no involvement in their son's life. ‌ Although the comedian never publicly announced becoming a father, it's believed he met 35-year-old model Selina Christoforou online, and the two went on to have a baby, the Mirror reports. ‌ A source told The Sun: "Mo met Selina after messaging her on social media and they hung out casually for a few months." The insider continued: "She found out she was pregnant in May 2023 and it was quite a shock for them both because they'd been fairly careful. But she wanted to have the baby, despite the fact they weren't actually a couple. ‌ "She adores their son and Mo sees him semi-regularly. Now he's about to become a dad for a second time and he's over the moon. He has been with Taia for quite a long time now and he feels ready to settle down." However, Selina has offered a different perspective, on her son Rudy's relationship with dad Mo. In a TikTok video shared to Instagram, she expressed frustration over Mo's alleged lack of involvement, saying: "I just finally posted on Instagram about my son's dad so for your information, if you don't follow my Instagram I don't blame you. Um, Mo Gilligan is his dad. Very much in quotation marks." ‌ She went on to claim that she knows how rarely the TV star has seen his son and shared that she had long hoped things would improve for her "unbelievable" little boy. Still, she acknowledged: "You can't make someone be a dad," claiming that Mo had made it clear he didn't want to take on the role. Mo's current partner, Taia, announced her pregnancy in March with a heartfelt Instagram post, though she did not name the father at the time. ‌ Showing off her growing bump, she wrote: "Today, I carry the love that made me, the love I've always known… and the love I've only just begun to understand. "For a long time, I didn't know when I would share this. But now feels right. Because today, on Mother's Day, I get to celebrate my own mother - and the tiny soul who has already made me one, too.'" Mo and Taia have been quietly dating for two years and currently live together in London.
