Egyptian FM Abdelatty concludes West Africa tour in Senegal - Foreign Affairs
Minister Abdelatty is scheduled to hold official talks with senior Senegalese officials and meet with representatives from both the government and the private sector, according to a foreign ministry statement.
Discussions will focus on deepening bilateral cooperation in the economy, investment, and infrastructure, as well as exploring opportunities for Senegal to benefit from Egyptian expertise in training and capacity building.
The visit will also address joint coordination on pressing regional issues, particularly security in the Sahel region and counter-terrorism efforts, the statement noted.
Additionally, the ministers will discuss mechanisms to bolster joint African action within the framework of the African Union and other relevant regional organizations.
The visit follows Abdelatty's stop in Mali, the fourth leg of his tour, which has also included Niger, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.
The trip comes after Egypt participated in the 47th Ordinary Session of the African Union's Executive Council earlier this month.

CAIRO, July 31 (MENA) – Egypt dispatched its fifth humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip early Thursday, carrying 6,000 tons of food and relief supplies, state-affiliated media reported. Al-Qahera News Channel aired footage of Egyptian aid trucks lined up at the Rafah border crossing before making their way into the war-torn Gaza. The Egyptian military announced on Wednesday that four military transport aircraft had carried out airdrops of food aid over hard-to-reach areas in Gaza. The operations were carried out on the orders of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in his capacity as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people during the current crisis. Egypt has been coordinating with international and regional stakeholders in a bid to alleviate the worsening humanitarian conditions in the enclave. (MENA) R E E/

National Dialogue slams protesters at Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv as 'allied with the occupation' - Foreign Affairs
Diaa Rashwan, the General Coordinator of the National Dialogue, stated that the Board of Trustees held an electronic consultation session this evening regarding "the blatant and condemnable demonstration in front of the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv" on Thursday. The "Tel Aviv Brotherhood is allied with the occupation, sells the lives and blood of its brothers, and pursues the interests of a small group," added Rashwan. "The National Dialogue Board of Trustees followed with great interest and full condemnation what took place today in front of the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv, a gathering called for by the so-called Islamic Movement inside Palestine." The Board of Trustees cannot find "appropriate words" to describe a demonstration against Egypt in front of its embassy in the capital of Israel under the flimsy pretext of "Egypt's failure to lift the siege of Gaza." He added that despite the embassy protests, "all the official headquarters of the occupying state, which has killed and wounded nearly 200,000 Palestinian citizens in Gaza and destroyed 90% of its territory, are located just steps away from the demonstration site, and none of the demonstrators approached them." "This position, which demonstrates nothing but complicity with the occupying state and its army in the war of extermination against the Palestinian people, a war of extermination of which the demonstrators in front of the Egyptian embassy are supposedly a part, clearly demonstrates the true position of the parent group of this movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, which called for the demonstration." He stressed that their "true priority is opposing the Egyptian regime, not resisting the occupation, its state, and its army, and defending the proud and afflicted people of Gaza. The fact that the authorities of this state granted this movement permission to hold the demonstration confirms the shared goal of distorting Egypt's firm stance on the Palestinian people and their just cause, and their joint, failed effort to destabilize the Egyptian state." "The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue strongly condemns this move, which can only be described for what it truly is: "serving the occupier, selling the lives and blood of our brothers, and pursuing narrow private interests, not liberating the homeland." "Finally, the trustee board affirms its complete confidence in the overwhelming majority of the Palestinian people within the Green Line, their constant commitment to a clear vision and coherent stance against all the brutal practices of the occupying state, and their complete condemnation of such a move, which targets only the narrow, private interests of a terrorist group and its affiliated movement, whose sole responsibility is to implement its decisions with complete obedience." In tandem, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted an infographic on its official Facebook page on Thursday, debunking 10 circulated allegations targeting Egypt regarding the Rafah crossing and the access of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:
