Cristiano Ronaldo Gave Georgina Rodríguez An Engagement Ring The Size Of A Boulder, And People Have Thoughts
The two met back in 2016 when Georgina was working as a sales associate at Gucci in Madrid. Her coworker asked her to stay past closing for a client who was coming in. That client turned out to be Cristiano. They kept things professional at first, but they eventually began dating, ultimately making their relationship public with their first red carpet appearance together — along with Ronaldo's eldest son, Cristiano Jr. — at the Best FIFA Football Awards in January 2017.
"I felt something inside that can't be explained, as if we had known each other all our lives," she told Vogue Arabia in May 2025. "I remember that when we held hands for the first time I felt inexplicable peace and energy. When people are in love like we are, they know what that strong connection is. That spark we had since we met has also grown and matured over time."

The famed Portuguese soccer player has five children: Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 15, whose biological mother he chose to keep private; 8-year-old twins Mateo and Eva, who were born via surrogate; Alana Martina, 7, and Bella Esmerelda, 3, who are Georgina and Cristiano's biological children together.
Throughout the years, the couple has shared bits and pieces of their life together on social media, from extravagant trips to sweet family moments.
And fans got an even closer look inside their world, when Netflix debuted I Am Georgina — a docuseries exploring Georgina's upbringing, and her life as a model, entrepreneur, mom, and life-partner to Cristiano. The show debuted in 2022 and ran for three seasons.

"We had a very special start to our relationship," Georgina said in her documentary, per People. "Many times he'd come after work. He would come, I remember once, once in a Bugatti. My coworkers went crazy. They get there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. I mean people couldn't believe it."
Cristiano added, "It was funny because I would wait for her outside the store in these flashy cars I have. We would go home, and there we would go into our own world."
After being together for so long and starting a family together, many fans questioned why Cristiano hadn't asked Georgina to marry him yet. He was even asked about it in the documentary, and this was his response:
Well, ladies and gentlemen, he finally got his "click," because on Monday, Georgina announced on Instagram that they were engaged. She showed off a massive diamond ring, as her hand topped his, with the caption, "Sí, quiero. En esta y todas mis vidas." It roughly translates to, "I do. In this and every lifetime."

She was showered with congratulatory messages from fans and friends like Camila McConaughey, Bebe Rexha, Jana Craig, and more.
And while many people were happy for the couple, some couldn't help but make jokes about the size of her diamond.

Taylor Swift disabled Instagram comments 10 years ago and never looked back. Should you?
Taylor Swift is bejeweled — with gems of "energy," that is. On the Aug. 13 episode of the Kelce brothers' "New Heights" podcast, Swift gave some advice to listeners, saying they should consider their attention to be a precious commodity and not place a lot of importance on interactions that don't serve their well-being. "You should think of your energy as if it's expensive, as if it's a luxury item," Swift said. "Not everyone can afford it. Not everyone has invested in you in order to be able to have the capital for you to care about this. What you spend your energy on, that's the day." Protecting her diamonds of energy is a reason why she disabled Instagram comments about 10 years ago — and doesn't "miss" being online. "I do detach from the internet in a huge way," she said during the episode, in which she announced her 12th studio album "The Life of a Showgirl" set to release Oct. 3. While her high-profile relationship and career are all over headlines and social media, Swift said she's reached a point of balance and grown a tough skin: "I've been able to mediate a really healthy relationship with not seeing a whole lot." So rather than miss out on what could be a good day to "obsession" over one person calling you "mid" in the comments, the pop star said we should tune it all out. "We're in the era of distraction," says digital wellness expert Mark Ostach. "Taylor is modeling a great digital wellness practice ... realizing your purpose in life doesn't come from the impressions you get online. Your identity and worth isn't rooted in how many followers you have." Is it time to take Taylor's advice? Here's how to tell if you need to take a step back from social media — and how to do it. Protecting 'diamonds' of energy Swift shared sage advice for when to know it's time to step away from digital discourse. "If your algorithm is giving you either criticisms of yourself or adulation or praise you're creating an ecosystem in which you're the center piece of the table," she said. "I just don't think that's healthy." Many of us struggle from this "post-traumatic scroll disorder," Ostach says. The endless digital diet we consume overwhelms us with fear or anxiety from the second we wake up. As a first step to disrupt this cycle, Ostach recommends we turn off comments, keep our phones out of site, block apps or set time constraints for social media. "When we're customizing our mood based on the moment we're scrolling, we're susceptible to insecurities, self-esteem issues or lacking motivation," he says. Swift has been vocal about her struggle balancing mental health with her public persona. On the podcast, she said "The Life of a Showgirl" will peel back the curtain on how she really felt while performing the epic 149-show Eras Tour before sold-out crowds. Swift has learned to separate the noise from the music. Anything online that doesn't serve her is "not my business." These boundaries fuel Swift's creativity, Ostach says. "When you are looking to modify behavior, be it smoking or scrolling, you need to replace it with something," Ostach says. In the way that Taylor puts pen to paper or attends Chiefs' games with friends, we should find intentional actions outside the ecosystem of comparison, Ostach says. "Those will rejuvante your mind body and spirit," he says. "What you bring into the world is the light of what you've done in your dark space (offline)." While not all of us are pop stars with microscopic attention on our lives, it's easy for anyone to fall into favoring social media over real relationships. If people in your life complain you're too online, or your focus on being loved online outshines real connection, that's a sign to step away, Ostach says. To get find genuine connection, he suggests we ask "how are you"? and actually pause for a response. Or swap DMing posts to friends for a walk together outside. Smell, hear and feel the nature around you in that moment. Swift said she prioritizes connections with boyfriend Travis Kelce and their hobbies, from her obsession with sourdough creations to his love for wild otters. Their own intimacy defines the relationship, not the projections online. "Can you imagine if we just talked about what people said about our relationship?" she said on the podcast. "If we talked about that, that would be all we talked about because there's so much chatter. We're busy having an actual relationship."

WEDNESDAY Season 2 Part 2 Trailer Teases Ghostly Return and Darker Twists Ahead — GeekTyrant
Wednesday fans, get ready for more supernatural mayhem at Nevermore Academy. Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Wednesday Season 2, Part 2, and it's teasing a darker and more intense conclusion. I've been have a very fun time watching this show! Not only is there more Hyde havoc on the horizon, but the trailer also reveals the shocking return of a fan-favorite character we thought was long gone. Sooilers ahead! Gwendoline Christie is back as Principal Weems, despite her brutal death at the end of Season 1. Viewers watched her get taken out by Marilyn Thornhill, who injected her with poisonous nightshade. With Steve Buscemi stepping in as Barry Dort, Nevermore's new principal, Weems' story seemed wrapped. But the writers have found a clever way to bring her back without undoing her death. This time, she returns as a ghostly spirit guide for Wednesday. Since Wednesday can no longer connect with Goody Addams, fans expected a new spectral presence to guide her. What's surprising is that it's Weems, considering she's not part of the Addams bloodline. But it works. As a ghost tied to Nevermore, she fits naturally into the school's eerie ecosystem. In fact, Christie's comeback was quietly teased during the show's 'Global Doom Tour' in Sydney, where she showed up alongside the cast. Netflix Australia & New Zealand even shared a clip on Instagram where Weems chillingly says: 'Did you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I was never gone… you just stopped looking.' It seems Weems may be sticking around to help Wednesday sharpen her psychic powers. But there's a chance she also needs something from Wednesday, some unfinished business that keeps her from resting in peace. So much for those fan theories suggesting she shapeshifted into Lurch. Outside of Weems' ghostly return, the new trailer amps up the threat of Tyler's Hyde. He's back and more dangerous than ever, and it's clear no one close to Wednesday is safe. There are also ominous hints about hidden secrets within the Addams family that are yet to be revealed. And at the tail end of the teaser, a cryptic voice that sounds a lot like Lady Gaga warns, 'Beware, there will be a price to pay.' What that price is, and what it means for Wednesday, is still a mystery. Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. The second half of the season drops on September 3, 2025.

The Glen Canyon Dam largely supplies power to people in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming and New Mexico. A USBR spokesperson previously told Newsweek: "Reclamation continues to closely monitor hydrologic conditions in the Colorado River. We are proactively working with our partners to ensure readiness if drought response actions are needed." They added: "Projections beyond the 2026 operating years for Lake Powell (water year) and Lake Mead (calendar year) assume a continuation of current guidelines, which are expected to change through ongoing development of post-2026 guidelines."
