BTS' J-Hope Drops "Sweet Dreams" Ft. Miguel: Stream It Now

Yara Sameh
BTS' J-Hope is back with a fresh solo release on Friday, teaming up with R&B powerhouse Miguel for the ethereal single 'Sweet Dreams'.
A smooth fusion of R&B, pop, and hip-hop, 'Sweet Dreams' pairs J-Hope's effortless melodic flow with Miguel's signature velvety vocals, creating an ethereal, late-night groove.
The song continues the rapper's journey of blending genres, showcasing his artistic range while adding another solo to his growing discography.
Renowned producer Johnny Goldstein, songwriters Sam Martin, known for his works with Maroon 5, David Guetta, One Direction, and Sean Douglas, who has collaborated with Madonna, Sia, and more, aided in the creation of the track.
And there's even more in store for fans: J-Hope is set to make his solo debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, March 10, where he'll take the stage for a performance of his new single.
The single J-Hope's first proper release since his special album "Hope on the Street Vol.1", which arrived in March last year.
The 'More' vocalist also paired the LP with a docuseries of the same name. Traveling to New York, Paris, Osaka, Seoul and his hometown of Gwangju in South Korea, J-Hope explored his passion for dance in the six-part Prime Video project.
He's now gearing up to hit the road again, this time on a tour kicking off one week before 'Sweet Dreams' drops.
The 31-date Hope on the Stage trek will begin with a three-night stay at Seoul's KSPO DOME starting Friday (February 28).
Not counting his February feature on Don Toliver's 'LV Bag' alongside Pharrell Williams, 'Sweet Dreams' also marks J-Hope's first proper solo release since he was discharged from the South Korean military.

BTS' J-Hope Announces New Solo Single, "Killin' It Girl" Ft. GloRilla: Here's When It Arrives

Yara Sameh J-hope is continuing to build up his next era. The BTS member and solo star announced that he will release his upcoming collaborative solo single, 'Killin' It Girl,' featuring rapper GloRilla on June 13. The song and video slated to drop the same day will serve as the follow-up to Hobi's March hit 'Sweet Dreams' and April's 'Mona Lisa,'. In a release announcing the track, it is described as a hip-hop song 'that captures the thrill of falling in love at first sight. Imbued with refreshing honesty, the lyrics depict an infatuation towards a confident and irresistible other.' With 'minimalistic' production, the solo effort promises to balance the K-pop superstar dancer/rapper's rhythmic rap cadence with an 'addictive' hook and Memphis MC GloRilla's 'unmistakable delivery and bold charisma.' In a recent Billboard cover story the 31-year-old said after his discharge from mandatory South Korean military service — the full group plans to reunite at some point this year when they have all finished their army hitches — he headed straight to the U.S. to work with American producers. ''Sweet Dreams'' featuring Miguel — an artist I've long respected — has a smooth, soulful vibe that feels deeply personal, ' he said. 'On the other hand, 'Mona Lisa' brings a hip-hop-driven performance energy. Both tracks are easy to connect with, yet they offer a glimpse into the broader, more evolved musical world I'm building. This is just the start — I have plenty more musical experiments in store.' In addition to the collab with GloRilla, j-hope will also release a solo version titled 'Killin' It Girl (Solo Version),' at the same time. Hobi is currently on his world Hope on the Stage tour, which is slated to hit the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on May 31 and wrap up on June 13 and 14 with two nights at the Goyang Sports Complex in Seoul, South Korea. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Wewantsounds Label Reissues Les Abrains' Coveted 1983 ‘Album No 1' LP

An underground staple of Algerian-Kabyle rock, Les Abrains' cult 1983 LP gets its first-ever reissue. May 30, 2025 Paris-based record label Wewantsounds has reissued a rare private press of Les Abrains' highly sought-after 1983 LP 'Album No. 1' for the first time ever. Formed in France in the late 1960s by two young Algerian Kabyle workers, Shamy El Vaz and Karim Abdenour, Les Abrains is one of the pioneers of the Amazigh freedom rock sound in the late 70s to early 80s. Their unique blend of early psych-rock with Kabyle rock, funk and reggae has positioned them as one of the most influential figures in the North African music scene and beyond. Curated by Cheb Gero, who recently compiled the Sweet Rebels Rai set for Wewantsounds, 'Album No.1' (also known as Id Ed Was) showcases a masterful range of various sounds imbued with the Kabyle rock soul, from the reggae-infused cult classic 'Avehri' to the funk-driven 'Achethkhi' and the irresistibly groovy instrumental 'Thadoukli'. Originally recorded in Paris, the record was initially self-released and distributed exclusively within the Kabyle and Algerian communities in France and the Maghreb. Wewantsounds Records reissued the album with remastered audio by Colorsound Studio in Paris, the original artwork, and a two-page insert with new liner notes –in French and English–by the acclaimed Algerian journalist Rabah Mezouane. This also comes as part of the label's program dedicated to reissuing rare old gems from the Algerian music scene.
