Jennifer Jacobs is coming home.
After leaving Peloton in 2019 following a three-year stint as an instructor, Jennifer is making a return—but not to Peloton, as some fans suspected. Instead, she is headed back to Ladder, the fitness platform she joined at its launch in 2020 and left in 2021.
On June 23, she sparked speculation of a Peloton comeback by posting an Instagram video of herself walking toward a stationary bike, with a remark that she is 'coming home to the world's best fitness brand.'
But the trainer is actually heading back to the workout platform Ladder. 'I've believed in Ladder since day one,' Jennifer exclusively tells Women's Health. Ladder initially reached out to her in 2020 after they launched, and she stayed a part of the brand into the following year. 'I was there at the beginning, and now I'm back because I know this is the best fitness brand in the world.'
The decision to nod to her Peloton days in the marketing around her Ladder announcement was purposeful, she says. 'I am somebody who lives—I am bold, I am unapologetic,' she adds. The main goal of the videos was to bring her audience that's been with her since the start of her career to her next adventure, and spark some nostalgia. 'I care deeply and immensely for the communities I've helped build across other platforms,' she says. 'They're with me for the ride.'
This isn't the first time Ladder has poked fun at Peloton. Back in December, Peloton announced their new strength training app, Peloton Strength+, which users online pointed out bore similarities to Ladder's app. Ladder responded with some tongue-in-cheek social media clips to address the buzz.
Ladder has 17 different exercise programs, from kettlebell workouts to strength and conditioning sessions, with tons of coaches. Each coach runs a 'team,' and you can switch to a different team at any point in your journey. In 2020, Jennifer's team was called Team J Method, and it catered to the state of the fitness industry and the desire for accessible-at-home workouts during the COVID-19 with bodyweight moves and mini bands. But Jennifer left Ladder in 2021 when she had the opportunity to create an on-demand video program, which she says was one of her dreams in life, with BODi. (Her program was called Job1.) After that, she spent the last few years cultivating her own brand, The J Method.
But then, she eventually decided her next move was to return to Ladder because she had stayed a member and loved what she saw them creating over the past four years. This time around, she reached out to the platform because she thought to herself, 'There's something here—they're on the cusp of something pivotal and I want to be a part of it,' she says.
Ladder isn't just a library of workouts to Jennifer. 'I've had the incredible privilege of building fitness communities across some of the most recognized platforms, but there's something truly different about Ladder,' she says. 'It's headed towards smart, sustainable training that builds both strength and community' and replicates the feeling of one-on-one training, she describes. She also loves how the app keeps you motivated with features like streaks and milestones, making it fun to show up and feel a sense of achievement over again, creating those long-lasting results.
Her new program is called Team Endure, and it's 'all about building lean defined muscle, but doing it in a way that fits your real life,' she says. The workouts will combine hypertrophy and aesthetic training with functional training 'so you're not just looking stronger but you're moving better,' she says.
Her sessions will be 30 minutes or less and focus on efficiency and effectiveness so that you can get the best bang for your buck, whether you're a busy professional, parent, or you're just short on time. You can train with the program at home with dumbbells, or take it to the gym, she says—it's that flexible. And she recommends it for all levels: 'No matter where you're starting from, this program meets you where you're at and it evolves with you,' she says. 'It's about lasting results, not quick fixes.'
She can't wait to get started and help people overcome barriers that prevent them from reaching their fitness goals through Ladder, which is making fitness accessible, effective, and inspiring. 'Making a huge career move for myself at this point in my life is a risk, but it's what I know will be such a reward,' she says. 'This isn't just a workout, this is a movement and we are just getting started. We can't wait to try your workouts, Jennifer!

Jessie J Shares the ‘Honest Lows and Highs' After Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery

In one slide of Jessie J's recent 16-part photo dump on Instagram, the singer watched back a clip from her performance at Capital's Summertime Ball. On stage at Wembley Stadium in London, she told the audience, 'This show is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer.' Revisiting the moment from her hospital bed, she joked, 'Look a bit different, innit?' Jessie is recovering at home from surgery now, but wanted to share a glimpse into her battle with the diagnosis she revealed earlier this month. 'This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours,' she wrote in the post caption. 'I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine. Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!' In one, she cries at the thought of imagining hearing her son say he loves her and not being able to say it back. In another, she explains the tubing system that drains blood and fluid from her breasts to him. The post-surgery recovery period will allow Jessie to truly slow down and process the moment. When she revealed her diagnosis, she mentioned that she was 'not processing it because I'm working so hard.' In a separate post shared earlier this month, she looked back on a live performance before which she had undergone several breast biopsies in private. 'I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories,' she said. 'I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse, that's the bit that kills me.' The Palace of Versailles wants you to talk to statues through OpenAI's tech. But the statues don't seem that interested in chatting.

The Palace of Versailles launched a new partnership with OpenAI to get its statues to speak. The informative chatbot was dry and lacked effective conversational skills. But it's a better solution than fact sheets or audioguides. You can now talk to ornate, centuries-old statues in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, but be warned — they only want to talk about themselves. The palace, which functions as a museum, announced a partnership with OpenAI and a Paris-based AI company, Ask Mona, to create chatbots that allow online and in-person visitors to have conversations with the 12 statues in its gardens. Scanning QR codes located near the sculptures — or online — starts an audio conversation with a chatbot. The garden statues "will reveal their secrets to you," the palace said in a Tuesday Instagram post. I tested the new tool all the way from Singapore, striking up conversations with the Apollo Fountain and Neptune's Fountain. Informative but lacking personality I first tried speaking with the Apollo Fountain, a 15th-century golden fountain by French sculptor Jean-Baptiste Tuby. The chatbot immediately launched into an elaborate description of the work. "The fountain symbolizes the dawn, the moment when light spreads over the world. It's a reflection of power and renewal, much like the reign of the Sun King, Louis XIV, who saw himself in my image," the chatbot told me in a deep, somber male voice. After a few basic questions about who created the sculpture and when it was last restored, I threw some curveballs. "Can you tell me a joke?" I asked it. "As much as I enjoy bringing light to the world, I must stay true to my role here. I'm a symbol of power, grace, and eternal renewal," it responded. "But I can certainly brighten your day with stories of art, history, and myth." It then asked me if I would like to hear more about the symbolism of the fountain. I did not. When I asked what the sculpture was thinking, it responded, "As Apollo, I am always focused on my eternal task: guiding the sun across the sky." I tried my luck with the 15th-century Neptune's Fountain. I asked when it was made and what material it was made of, and received substantial answers. The voice was the same male voice from the earlier sculpture. When I asked what details first-time visitors should look out for, the chatbot suddenly went silent, not capturing my voice. It took a couple of website refreshes to get it to answer my question. I also tried to ask general questions about Paris. "I hold dominion over the fountains of Versailles, not the city beyond. Let your admiration rest upon the sculptures and waters that tell the tales of gods and legends here," it responded dryly. While Versailles' new AI tool is informative and a useful guide for palace visitors not keen on reading artwork labels, the chatbot lacked humor and was a bit buggy. The conversations also felt one-sided — the chatbots rarely asked me anything back. In comparison, OpenAI's ChatGPT frequently asks follow-up questions or suggests alternative prompts. To its credit, it is certainly a step up from traditional audioguides, providing instant answers to visitors. Instead of skimming through an overcrowded fact sheet or sitting through a pre-recorded audio guide, it felt more like walking with a tour guide and having my burning questions answered on the spot. The bot would be a useful addition at other museums, especially for tourists with short attention spans and long itineraries.
