Thama hidden gems: Moments you might have missed in Ayushmaan-Rashmika's film teaser
'Thama' might very well be our own desi 'Twilight'. The makers unveiled the film's much-awaited teaser that is set to release this Diwali. With Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna leading the cast, this romantic horror promises to be the next big addition to Dinesh Vijan's expanding horror-comedy universe. Here's a look at the twists and hidden gems in the teaser that you may have 'bloody love story' with a fiery RashmikaCalled a 'bloody love story', 'Thama' is far from an ordinary affair. It's eerie, romantic, and there are sharp fangs involved, quite literally. While early buzz suggests Ayushmann plays a vampire, the teaser drops a twist. Rashmika may actually be the true-blue blood-sucking predator. In one standout moment, she grabs Ayushmann's hand just as he's about to fall off a building, showing that she's the stronger one, which is a surprising twist from what we usually see in this kind of story. The teaser begins with Ayushmann's voice-over asking Rashmika, "Reh paogi mere bina sau saal tak (Will you be able to live without me for 100 years), to which she says, "Sau saal kya ek pal ke liye bhi nahi (Not even for a moment)." This exchange suggests that Ayushmann's character may have died and will be reborn a century later as Alok and reunite with Tadaka aka Rashmika. Ayushmann Khurrana is tossed around by a bear in 'Thama' teaser. Rashmika's character comes across as fierce, powerful, and perhaps more dangerous than her male counterpart. Her chemistry with Ayushmann is both palpable and deadly (did you notice the way she looks at him in the beginning of the teaser?). The teaser even teases a passionate kiss between the vampires, and mystery figuresThere are several moments packed into the teaser that will get the fans intrigued. In one scene, Ayushmann is tossed around by a ferocious bear, suggesting his character may not be a vampire at all, but rather an ordinary man. Another shot shows the silhouette of a shackled figure, believed to be Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He appears in his full glory at the fag-end of the teaser. The actor plays Yakshasan - Andhere ka Badshah (King of Darkness), whose attire hints that he belongs to the vampire cameos and dance anthemsadvertisementThough Varun Dhawan doesn't appear in the teaser, the 'Bhediya' star has been confirmed for a guest appearance. Given the shared universe setup, fans can expect clever crossovers and Easter eggs linking 'Thama' with other films in the is expected to play a major role, much like in 'Stree 2', which delivered chartbusters like 'Aaj Ki Raat' and 'Aayi Nai'. If the former had Tamannaah Bhatia and Shraddha Kapoor grooving to the chartbusters, this time, audiences can look forward to energetic tracks featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Malaika Arora. Malaika Arora will be seen in a dance number in 'Thama'. The supporting cast includes Panchayat's Faisal Malik (aka Prahlad Cha) and veteran actor Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, though their characters remain under wraps. With sleek visuals, unexpected turns, and interesting twists, Thama is expected to put a fresh spin on the vampire genre, one Bollywood has rarely explored at this scale. Will it live up to the hype and become the desi Twilight? Audiences will have their answer this Diwali.- Ends
