Wednesday star Jenna Ortega opens up about her struggle with OCD amid rising fame
Jenna Ortega had her own brushes with troubles despite gaining major success at an early age. Just like most members of the current generation, who can be struggling to handle mental issues, the award-winning actress was once documented as she lamented her obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) problem. Why is Jenna Ortega trending on social media?
In a throwback interview conducted with Heart, a leading UK-based radio brand, Jenna opened up about the impact of OCD on her everyday life, mostly when she feels overwhelmed by the everyday routine of being a young artist in the entertainment world.
'It is quite hard since my work puts me on the road all the time, and it is never a familiar setting. Whatever the workplace is, you sort of invent a new routine, which you can only keep for six weeks, and then you are off to the next stuff. I get to bed when I should, 8 p.m. or 8:30, but I do not because it is the only time I get stuff done,' Jenna Ortega continues. 'And I also get very intense OCD when I am feeling tired.'
Jenna Ortega said, 'Noticing repetitive thoughts and counting things over and over and doing the same thing repeatedly.' Jenna further mentioned her weird habit of checking everything in her house and said that during the night, sometimes she used to feel very tired and go up and down the stairs six times because she thinks that is what she can do to ensure that no one can intrude in her house.
In the same interview, Jenna Ortega also mentioned that she is trying to meditate, and it has been a learning curve, but she is really good at it now. As for now, she has been completely satisfied with her progress in dealing with OCD most peacefully. Jenna concluded by saying, 'It's been nice to kind of deal with that in a peaceful manner.' What is OCD?
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by the existence of a pattern of thoughts and fears, like that of obsessions. These compulsions make you perform repetitive behaviors. These obsessions and compulsions interfere with normal duties and bring a lot of distress. What is the response of the audience to Wednesday: Season 2?
Wednesday Part 2 emerged with a powerful yet kind of mixed reception to Part 1, which was hugely popular. Even though the fans were pleased with the darker tone, character advancement, and gothic elements, they spoke out on the lack of a compelling mystery as in the previous one. Nevertheless, the acting of Jenna Ortega and the individual style of the show invited the audience to continue watching.

We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.' Netflix confirmed that a third installment of Wednesday is on the way on July 2025. Town bides its time for timeless classicsfrom Western canon
The high priests of sound are about to descend upon the city. As a counterpoint to the deafening outdoor celebrations of the festive season, they will summon the hushed attendance of the cognoscenti indoors. On Tuesday, Aug 12, Andrew Litton, the music director of the New York City Ballet, will open the 35th season of the NCPA-based Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) with Wagner's achingly hypnotic Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde followed by the sweeping, emotional arc of Mahler's Fifth Symphony at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre. The following Sunday, Aug 17, Litton will return with the highly regarded Russian-Swiss pianist Konstantin Scherbakov in Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, known around the world for its sweeping opening melody (and, of course, for its thrilling, dramatic passages). The evening will begin, though, with Ravel's Bolero and close with Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. A couple of days later, Scherbakov will take the spotlight for a solo recital at the Experimental Theatre in a programme that will weave through Bach's Chaconne, Schubert's stormy C-minor Sonata, and a selection of Chopin's works, including the Ballade No. 3 and Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante (made famous by the critically-acclaimed 2002 film The Pianist). British conductor Martyn Brabbins, a BBC Proms favourite who will take over as SOI's chief conductor in Jan, will join the season for the final two concerts: Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade followed by Shostakovich's gripping Fifth Symphony on Aug 22; and Elgar's Cockaigne Overture, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto (with SOI's founding music director, Kazakh virtuoso Marat Bisengaliev, as the soloist) and a selection from Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet on Aug 26. "(This time) while we pay great respect to the masterpieces of classical music, there is a movement towards the introduction of comparatively modern repertoire… The audience (response) is encouraging and we must push on."
