The actor, who himself is a two-time National Award winner, took to social media to celebrate the achievements and called it great.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Ajay Devgn shared a post reading, 'This is what great storytelling, great acting, great directing does…it lingers, Congratulations to all of you for touching hearts and leaving a mark. To more courage & more craft…" Earlier, Sidharth Malhotra, Fatima San Shaikh and others also congratulated actors.
The 71st National Film Awards for 2023 were officially announced on August 1, honouring the most outstanding talents in Indian cinema. Among the biggest highlights this year, Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey were jointly awarded the Best Actor award for their impactful performances in Jawan and 12th Fail, respectively. In the Best Actress category, Rani Mukerji received the top honour for her deeply moving role in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.
The announcement of the National Awards took place at the National Media Centre in New Delhi, following weeks of evaluation. The final jury report was submitted to Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State L. Murugan earlier in the day, with the winners revealed during a press conference at 6 PM.
Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bagged two major honours — one for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and the second for the famous song Dhindhora Baje Re, with Vaibhavi Merchant winning Best Choreography.

Ajay Devgn is back with a bang! Son Of Sardaar 2 is proving to be no one-hit wonder as the comedy sequel is holding its ground at the box office. After a solid opening, the film continued to bring in the laughs (and the moolah) on Day 2 as well. As per early estimates, it collected a total of Rs 14 crore in just two days.
Ajay Devgn returns to the franchise that brought out his desi comic timing, but this time, he's joined by a fresh cast and a new director – National Award-winning filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora. The sequel seems to be holding its ground, even with biggies like Saiyaara dominating the box office.
As per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 7.50 crore on Saturday, following its Rs 7.25 crore Day 1 opening. That brings its two-day total to a respectable Rs 14.75 crore. The film also stars late Mukul Dev, marking his posthumous release. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film features a powerhouse cast including Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, and Sahil Mehta.
