Kyogo finally shakes his Celtic curse before Rennes boss follows another striker slight with transfer cull gauntlet
The forward has endured a nightmare in France following his big money move to Ligue 1
Boss Habib Beye admits has challenged out of favour Stade Rennes player to earn their future another indignity for Kyogo Furuhashi.
The 30-year-old left Celtic in January but he has been hampered by a persistent should injury that plagued him during his time in the Scottish Premiership after leaving for Ligue 1 in the winter window.
He has yet to score his first goal for his new club after his £10million move with boss Beye, who replaced Jorge Sampaoli just days after the arrival of the Hoops' fan favourite, only handing him one start so far.
But Beye has confirmed to Ouest-France that the Japan international has been passed fit - despite leaving him out of the last two squads to face Nantes and Lyon.
And things have gone from bad to worse for the frontman after he failed to make the 21-man team sheet that will face Toulouse on Saturday.
Going into the showdown, the Rennes gaffer has hinted that more players may be moved out the door that come in this summer.
He said: "The project will be what it will be, but we have to adjust things to be much more consistent.
"And we start again with a preparation, a shared experience.in the summer We're discussing it. You know the context very well.
"There are players on loan who will be returning, and we'll have to make choices about the future of certain players who are not featured.
"There are players who will define their future differently than Stade Rennes. They have time, but the elements are already advanced to work on next season."
While on international duty in March, Kyogo insisted he had no concerns over his minutes as he set his sights on the 2026 World Cup.
He said: "I am gaining confidence. I'm putting my all into the game and showing my skills every day, and my time is increasing little by little.
"I think I'm almost there. I will actively work on it and practice onwards for next season.
"If I could have entered training with more strength, we could have seen a slightly different scene I want to be able to break through. I hope to be called up to the next national team again."

Snoop Dogg shares plan to open a burger van outside major British football club
Snoop Dogg said he would like to bring a pop-up burger to Celtic Park as he believes football fans would love it - and he even shared his perfect recipe for a good burger Snoop Dogg has revealed he hopes to open a burger van at Celtic Park – and said he would like to serve fans himself. The West Coast rapper has previously spoken of investing in the Glasgow football club, similar to Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds ' involvement with Wrexham FC. Snoop Dogg, 53, has already published a cookbook and claims to have spoken to chef Gordon Ramsay about a possible venture in Glasgow together – but he has now revealed he wants to set up a fast-food van at Celtic's stadium in the city's east end. He has described Celtic supporters as "special" and the best fans in European football, and said he identifies strongly with the club's mascot Hoopy the Hound – describing it in a previous interview as a "match made in heaven". The keen sports fan worked as a correspondent for NBC at the Paris Olympics last year, has launched two youth football leagues, and has been a vocal advocate for pay equality for female athletes. He told the Sunday Mail that Celtic fans would support the burger van and that it would become a foodie "Paradise" – the nickname give to Celtic Park. He said: "I would love to bring a pop-up burger (van) to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. "It's got to be Celtic Park, man. The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple-cured bacon. "The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself." But he said he would not be taking his culinary ventures to Celtic's Old Firm rivals at Ibrox. Snoop told the Sunday Mail: "Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss." The confession comes after the rapper offered to swoop in and heal the rift between estranged brothers Prince William and Prince Harry. Earlier this year, the rapper, whose links to theroyals go back years, as he was asked to perform at William's stag party, said he'd be more than happy to act as peacemaker between the estranged pair. "Harry and William, I have known for a long time now," he said. "Harry asked me to perform at William's bachelor party but I couldn't make it. Anything they want to perform at now, I am there. They are brothers, man. Anything that gets them in the same room and being brothers again will be worth it. Life is too short to not make things right, and if Snoop can help heal that relationship, then let's do it." The Drop It Like It's Hot star also opened up about his friendship with David Beckham, which dates back over 30 years, calling him his "brother" - and he said "Uncle Snoop" will always be there for his kids Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, too."You know in this industry you get a lot of acquaintances, but real long-lasting friendship is a rare thing for real," he began. "We have been friends for over 25 years, he isn't a friend to me anymore he is a brother to me. From the first time we met we had a good connection, and our friendship just went from there. It kind of helps we both love sport, food, and music, but as the years went on our friendship became deeper."

Juventus respond as Andrea Berta puts Kenan Yildiz on summer transfer shortlist
Arsenal are interested in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, but they do not want to sell the 20-year-old winger and are set to open talks with him over a new contract Juventus are reportedly planning to offer Kenan Yildiz a new contract in a bid to ward off interest from clubs like Arsenal. Yildiz enjoyed an impressive campaign for Juventus this season, producing 16 goal contributions in 48 appearances across all competitions. The 20-year-old is attracting interest from a number of sides across Europe and Arsenal are among them, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his forward line this summer. Italian outlet Tuttosport are reporting that Arsenal are the club who are 'most interested' in Yildiz. The Gunners are said to have a longstanding interest in Yildiz and are ready to spend between €50million (£42m) and €60m (£50.5m) on a new winger. It is claimed that Yildiz and Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams are Arsenal's top targets. However, Juventus believe Yildiz is worth closer to €100m (£84m) and they are ready to open talks with the Turkey international over a new deal which could see him double his salary. Juventus endured a disappointing campaign as they finished fourth in Serie A, but they finished the season strongly after Igor Tudor replaced Thiago Motta as manager in March. Juventus have lost just one game under Tudor and Yildiz has spoken highly of the Croatian. "He gave us energy, it was important for us," Yildiz told DAZN last month about Tudor's impact. "Since he arrived, we've been happy, we've been working hard. I'm happy with this season, but I want to improve in everything. "I'm always looking ahead. The No.10 shirt doesn't add any pressure. I play as usual and I'm happy to be wearing it." Arsenal, meanwhile, have yet to make any new signings but Arteta has told fans that this summer's transfer window will be a "big one" for the club. "It's going to be a big one and we are very excited about it," he said. "When you are going to go again, we want to increase the depth of the squad and the quality and the skills that we need to go to the next step. "Every summer is big because it is an opportunity – and especially because of the number of players we have in the squad right now, that is necessary. "But it's a big summer for many things because first of all we have to maintain the good foundations that we have and then obviously how can we improve and evolve the team."
