Pete Davidson's Saturday Night Live co-stars found him 'annoying'

Pete Davidson thinks some of his Saturday Night Live co-stars found him "annoying".
The 31-year-old actor starred on the long-running TV comedy sketch show between 2014 and 2022, and Pete admits that he wasn't universally popular among the cast.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, he shared: "You got to remember, everyone there did Second City, improv, worked so hard — so hard. I'm not saying I didn't work hard, but I was only doing comedy for three, four years.
"And a lot of what people liked about me was, 'Oh, this was a kid from Staten Island that's just talking s***. So you gotta remember all of these people are 10, 15 years older than me and working so hard."
Pete thinks that some of the his castmates' frustrations stemmed from their relatively modest pay at Saturday Night Live.
The comedian explained: "At the time, you weren't allowed to do stuff outside of the show that was a payday.
"It was like the Yankees — no beards. You gotta dress up to go to the afterparty and all this s***. So I think I did rub people the wrong way, and I think it was just annoying for the cast."
Meanwhile, Pete recently revealed that Eddie Murphy inspired him to reduce his social circle.
The actor stars alongside Eddie, 64, in The Pickup, their new comedy movie, and Pete confessed to being inspired by his co-star.
Speaking to People, Pete joked: "I've been guilty of having 700 friends in the green room. People I just met or are just in the crew, and then I'm like, 'Why did they not have my best interest in mind?'"
Pete observed that Eddie "moved" in a totally different way to himself, and the comedy star eventually decided to follow suit.
Pete said: "He has a really small crew, and it's the same people for a really long time, and I think that's really important to have an efficient career and just overall life in this business.
"You have to be able to trust who's around you, and you got to be able to move a certain type of way.
"I'm not Eddie Murphy by any means, but especially when you're at his level, you need to be able to trust everyone around you."

Blac Chyna 'can cope with Pardon Me backlash'

Blac Chyna put her "personal beliefs" aside to star in Pardon Me. The 37-year-old star plays anti-abortion activist Bevelyn B. Williams in the new biographical film, and although the subject matter is contentious, Chyna has been able to handle the "backlash". The actress - who has King, 12, and Dream, eight - told People: "Pardon Me is definitely something that has shaped my perspective and let me know that I can play a lead role. "I could tap into another person because it's a difference when you have a character, but you can make it your own. And I feel like playing somebody might be the hardest in my mind to master, but I feel like I mastered it. "I have my own personal beliefs and whatnot. I'm not going to get into it, but I feel like with any actress, you have to put all that aside. "Sometimes I'll watch a movie and then I'll see the person [and] I'm like, 'I don't like that person.' [But] I'm like, 'Wait, oh, that was just a character. Sorry. No, I like you.' So, we have to keep in mind, too, that I am playing a character because I have gotten a little bit of backlash from it, but it's nothing I can't handle." Chyna didn't have any hesitations about starring in the film. The actress - who now goes by her birth name, Angela White - actually found her role in the movie to be "empowering". She shared: "The decision for me to play this role was easy. I knew that it would probably stir up a few things because of the message and what she stands for and that's exactly why I did it. "I feel as though it's very empowering to step into these roles because the thing about it is when you are in the entertainment industry, a lot of times they want you to act a certain way or you're supposed to be a certain type of way for a different type of crowd. "But that's not how it works, that's not how leadership is. I've walked so a lot of people can run in this industry."

WWE star Logan Paul marries Nina Agdal

Logan Paul has married Nina Agdal. The 30-year-old wrestler - who first found fame on YouTube - and the 33-year-old model tied the knot during a lavish ceremony near Lake Como in Italy on Friday (15.08.25). Jake Paul, Logan's younger brother, was among the guests at the wedding, and he shared several clips from the big day on social media. Jake, 28, captioned one video clip on Instagram: "I've seriously been crying." The wedding ceremony was actually officiated by podcast host Mike Majlak, who donned a black tuxedo for the big day. Logan wore a white suit jacket with a black bow tie for the ceremony, while Nina wore a spectacular lace wedding dress. The loved-up couple have been spotted together in the region in recent days, with Logan and Nina being photographed kayaking and swimming. The celebrity duo actually got engaged in Italy two years ago, with the couple announcing the news via a joint Instagram post. They wrote on Instagram at the time: "Engaged to my best friend [ring emoji] (sic)" In 2024, Nina gave birth to their first child, a daughter called Esme. And Logan previously admitted that fatherhood has transformed his life, explaining that he's become "less selfish". The WWE star told People: "I'm no longer my first priority. It's made me less selfish. Prior to Nina, I was No. 1 in my life. "Now with Esme, my daughter, I've dropped two rungs down the priority ladder. It's Esmé, Nina, those are interchangeable – then me. "So for the first time in my life, I'm not my first concern. I would die for these women. I haven't been able to say that about anyone." Nina also observed that fatherhood had changed Logan, revealing that he's more "motivated" than ever since becoming a dad. The model - who began dating Logan in 2022 - said: "He has actually gotten more motivated, I would almost say. He's working really hard, he wants to show her that she can do anything. "He's obviously a softy with her, he loves her so much. But he's become very dedicated to pursuing even bigger dreams."

Chinese stories need to be told, says Michelle Yeoh

Michelle Yeoh thinks Ne Zha 2 could prove to be an important "cultural exchange". The 63-year-old actress voices the part of Lady Yin — the mother of Ne Zha — in the English-language version of the Chinese box-office hit, and Michelle is thrilled to be part of the project, suggesting that it could have a huge long-term impact on the film industry. Speaking to People, Michelle explained: "I had seen Ne Zha II in Chinese, and even at that time I thought, 'I hope they do an English version, because you want little kids to be able to see it and understand'. "So when they did come to me and said, 'Would this interest you?' I jumped right in … Somehow, when A24 and I get together, we get a little magic going." Michelle believes that Ne Zha 2 could lead to more "Chinese stories" being told in Western cinemas. The actress - who began her career in Hong Kong, before making the move to Hollywood - said: "It is so important as a cultural exchange; an opening for more Chinese stories that need to be told. Especially the mythological side of it. "We're so rich in lore with the three realms: the heavens, the earth and the seas." Ne Zha 2 focuses on the Chinese mythological character Ne Zha and his friend Ao Bing. Michelle loves that the movie manages to bridge the gap between traditional Chinese mythology and young film fans. She explained: "The storytelling is so amazing because they have kept intact the classic myth of how it was before, but added that contemporary way of storytelling. "So that's the bridge for the generational gap. Like we say, it is timeless, but timely." Michelle also revealed that Ne Zha is "one of [her] favourite characters", revealing that she was inspired by the "spunky kid riding on fire wheels" during her younger years. Michelle - whose previous film credits include Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - reflected: "This is for people who always felt that they're not seen, or they have been ostracised, or they don't look right, or they don't fit in, so that they don't give up. "And that's why Ne Zha has always been one of my favourite characters because he fought injustice. I think from the minute he was born, he felt very rejected. "When I was a kid, I used to be so fascinated and inspired by this spunky kid riding on fire wheels. I wanted to be that cool demigod that fought for justice."
