Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Day 4: Aamir Khan Film Beats Laal Singh Chaddha, Earns Rs 66 Cr

Last Updated: Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par crosses Rs 66 crore in four days, surpassing Laal Singh Chaddha's India total. Aamir Khan's latest release Sitaare Zameen Par is shining bright at the box office. After its theatrical release last Friday, the film has managed to cross the Rs 66 crore mark in just four days, surpassing the India haul of Aamir's previous film Laal Singh Chaddha (Rs 61.36 crore). The sports drama, which features Aamir as a basketball coach guiding a team of children with special needs, saw a strong weekend driven by positive word-of-mouth and heartfelt storytelling. On Sunday alone, it collected Rs 27.25 crore. However, as per Sacnilk, the film witnessed a drop on Monday, earning only Rs 8.27 crore. Despite the dip, the total India earnings now stand at Rs 66.42 crore. Directed by RS Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, Sitaare Zameen Par features a fresh ensemble cast including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Genelia D'Souza plays Aamir's wife in the film. Aamir's decision to skip an OTT release and focus on bringing audiences back to theatres appears to be working. The film's touching narrative and powerful music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, have further elevated its appeal. Internationally, the film has already collected Rs 95.75 crore within its opening weekend and is poised to cross Rs 100 crore worldwide. It marks a strong comeback for Aamir Khan after the lukewarm response to Laal Singh Chaddha. The industry too has rallied behind Sitaare Zameen Par. Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar posted on X (formerly Twitter), 'So happy to learn about the record leap that Sitaare Zameen Par has taken at the box office on the second day. Who says good films have no takers in the audience. Congratulations to Aamir Khan and his team." Actors like Ritesh Deshmukh and Mahesh Babu also praised the film for its emotional impact. Co-produced by Aamir Khan, Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka, the film reiterates that powerful stories with heart continue to resonate deeply with Indian audiences. During his performance at the Summer Solstice Music Festival in Oley, Pennsylvania, the country star began slurring his words during the first few songs of his set. Ronnie's tour manager said he was "not making sense" during his set. The tour manager stopped the show three or four songs in to take Ronnie, 75, to the side to check in with how he was feeling. Ronnie responded "no" and said that he thought he might have suffered a stroke, reported People. Ronnie's son, Tyler Dean McDowell, posted on Facebook late Saturday evening that he is focused on his father's health amid the medical incident. "I know you're all concerned. I promise--no one is more worried than I am," he began. "Please understand, this is an incredibly stressful time, and right now, my focus is on my Dad. If there's anything that needs to be shared, I promise -- we will." He also asked fans to pray for his family, reported People. Tyler shared more updates the following day. "Just wanted to let everyone know--I made it to Pennsylvania. [Ronnie's son] Ronnie Dean & I are in the room with Dad. He's talking to us, and we're waiting to do the MRI," he wrote, adding that he will keep fans posted. Hours later, Tyler let fans know that Ronnie was "very excited" when he brought his dad a few things for his hospital stay. "2nd update: Brought Dad some Popcorners and a Kombucha (snacks he likes). Ronnie Dean brought his comfy shoes, favorite brush, and Vietnam hat," he said. "Dad was very excited about all this--like a kid in a candy store. Figured y'all could use a lil' levity." On Monday, Tyler shared an additional update about Ronnie's hospitalisation. "I have Dad in the car and we are on our way home!" he wrote, noting that he or Ronnie Dean would share more information soon. Why does Amitabh Bachchan not praise Aishwarya Rai in public? Veteran star addresses long-standing question

Amitabh Bachchan has long been known for expressing admiration for his son Abhishek Bachchan on social media. From acknowledging Abhishek's achievements to celebrating his growth, the veteran actor doesn't hold back when it comes to showing appreciation for his son. However, some fans have noticed that this enthusiastic praise rarely extends to the other members of his family—particularly his wife, Jaya Bachchan , and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan . This observation recently led to a discussion online, which Amitabh finally addressed in his own words. Through a brief yet telling message, he shared his perspective on why his praise for the women in his family remains private. Praise for Son, Silence for Others? The conversation began after Amitabh posted images of himself greeting fans outside his residence, Jalsa. A user in the comments questioned why he doesn't also post about the women in his family with the same energy. Responding directly, the actor stated that he prefers to appreciate them in his heart and not in public, citing it as a mark of respect. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tại sao ngày càng nhiều người cao tuổi chọn cấy ghép răng giá phải chăng?
