Yellowstone finally confirms update on Beth and Rip's return - and it's sooner than you think

Daily Mirror30-04-2025

The much-anticipated sequel to Yellowstone has a tentative release date, and it's closer than you might expect.
Fans were waiting nearly two years for the second half of the fifth season following Kevin Costner's departure, with the final episode seemingly concluding the Duttons' saga last December.
However, it was later confirmed that main characters Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) would be returning for a follow-up series.
The latest addition to the growing list of Yellowstone spin-offs will continue the story of the ranching power couple after the death of Beth's father, John Dutton (Costner).
A recent Bloomberg report suggests that Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan are gearing up to launch the new spin-off this autumn, reports the Mirror US.
The series, currently titled Dutton Ranch, will be exclusively available on Paramount+, reportedly in just a few months.
The plot details for Dutton Ranch remain under wraps, particularly given that Beth's brother Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) sold the Yellowstone ranch to its former rival, Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham).
Kayce planned to stay on the land with his wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille), and their son, Tate (Brecken Merrill), while Beth and Rip considered relocating to a smaller area near Dillon, Montana.
Their tranquil haven, a significant departure from their tumultuous past entwined with criminal exploits, is at risk of collapsing when the duo re-emerge on our screens in the coming months.
Reilly had stirred excitement on her personal Instagram account when she affirmed with a "true [love heart emoji]" in response to a fan's inquiry about the spin-off.
Her thrilled colleague Hauser shared with People magazine: "America has spoken and they still love the show.
"Hopefully, we can continue to get in people's living rooms and entertain them the way we have over the last seven years."
In related news, mastermind showrunner Sheridan is purportedly brewing early plans for Kayce's standalone venture on CBS, as anticipative audiences bide their time for other forthcoming spin-offs, The Madison and 1944, both slated for release in 2026.
In another move, the prolific television maestro Sheridan has roped in a Yellowstone fan favourite for the upcoming season of his freshly successful Paramount drama, Landman.
1883's Sam Elliot, famed for his portrayal of veteran Shea Brennan, is appointed for a mystery role opposite the esteemed Billy Bob Thornton, who plays the enterprising oil company landman Tommy Norris.

There has been speculation that the two co-stars had drifted apart after being on the HBO show, which follows the lives of guests and staff at a luxury resort as dark secrets are revealed and tensions rise over the course of the holiday. ‌ The third series sees the positive Chelsea, played by British actress Wood, 31, try to keep her mysterious older boyfriend, Rick, played by 53-year-old US actor Goggins, calm in Thailand. ‌ Following the 2025 series, Goggins appeared to step away from his fellow co-stars, and unfollow Greater Manchester-born Wood on Instagram. They both addressed the swirling rumours during a joint interview for US publication Variety, which was published on Wednesday. Goggins said: "There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman (Aimee) madly, and she is so important to me." Article continues below He added that "she's special", and explained he had not addressed the reports before as he did not want to talk about Wood when she was not there. "I think it's such a comment on where we're at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a shite about Instagram," Wood said. Goggins said that when he finished The White Lotus he "needed to just back away from everyone", as it is his "process" when filming a project ends. ‌ "It's all so ridiculous," he said. "It's just a part of me just saying goodbye to this character so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f****** ever." Wood previously criticised a Saturday Night Live sketch, with an cast member impersonating her with exaggerated prosthetic teeth, calling it "mean and unfunny" on Instagram. ‌ She told Variety that it "felt misogynistic. It felt like the punchline was a woman's appearance, which is just not funny. It's not cool". Goggins shared the same sketch online and praised Jon Hamm for playing a version of his character, before deleting the Instagram post, ahead of hosting SNL> He said he was "gonna say it (something) to your face", and added: "I don't use social media in any way, and I'm not a mean guy." ‌ SNL apologised for the April sketch, according to Wood, and the comedian and cast member who impersonated her, Sarah Sherman, sent her flowers to apologise. Wood is also known for Netflix teen show Sex Education, BBC comedy Daddy Issues and the 2022 drama film Living with Bill Nighy. Goggins has been in Western series Justified, post-apocalyptic series Fallout, and drama Sons Of Anarchy. The 36-year-old has shared moments from their break in the Maldives at the luxury Kandima beach resort. Taking to Instagram, the mum has spoken up about her battle with melasma, a common skin condition in adults which can cause darkening of the skin caused by increased melanin, reports The Record. "Off to see my laser guru @rebeccatreston @ Please sort out my melasma I've missed you." She also asked her followers if they would like treatment recommendations or advice, if anyone may be suffering from a similar skin condition. "Do you suffer from pigmentation/melasma/sun spots?," she asked. "Okay guys I have been in the sun all day, always wear my factor 50 and my hat but I think with melasma you still get affected with just the heat so I always try and keep my face really cool. "That's a tip that I learnt, but I'm going to see Rebecca now but look," she gestured as she pointed her face towards the camera. "I don't know if you can see this all kind of multiplied again come back, this is me completely bare faced." She continued: "You can see it here there's definitely a difference between freckles. I love freckles, love to embrace them, but sun spots, melasma, pigmentation is different and can be quite ageing. (Image: Instagram) "I quite like the little bits on my lips but I just want to remove that and Rebecca has all the best lasers in Dubai," as she gestured to her cheekbones. "She always teaches me things and has new techniques that I've never heard of before which are incredibly effective." The star added: "So we are going to go today with pico, really quick easy. Kris Jenner shares truth behind her facelift after Kylie's boob job admission

Kris Jenner has thanked a surgeon for giving her her first facelift over a decade ago, after daughter Kylie Jenner opened up about the boob job she had in 2018 After years of trying to claim the results of surgical procedures came from clever lighting, lip liners and laxative teas, the Kar-Jenners are finally being honest about going under the knife. Fresh from daughter Kylie Jenner revealing all about her boob job, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 69, has fessed up to having a facelift. Kylie, 27, recently candidly replied to a fan's question about her breast implants on TikTok - confirming the exact details of her surgery and the doctor who carried out the procedure. ‌ A TikTok user named Rachel expressed her admiration for Kylie's 'most perfect, natural looking boob job ever', seeking specific details as inspiration for her own surgery. Trailing off with an eager plea, she asked Kylie: "Girl, please. Can you just tell us? Can you just tell me what it is that you asked for when you had your boobs done." ‌ In a surprising move, Kylie didn't shrink from sharing the precise details of her surgery, replying to the video with openness and specifics. She informed her curious follower: "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle! ! ! ! ! silicone! ! ! garth fisher! ! ! hope this helps lol.." Thrilled with Kylie's online endorsement, Dr Fisher took to Instagram on Thursday to thank the mum-of-two for the shout out. "I'm honoured to be acknowledged by Kylie—her kind words were unexpected but truly appreciated," the doctor wrote to his followers. He continued: "Patient confidentiality has always been the foundation of my practice. Over 3 decades, we've never had a single breach. My entire team is thoroughly trained and bound by strict NDAs and confidentiality agreements. This is more than policy—it's our culture." He went on to reference HIPAA (patient privacy) laws and why he will never discuss a client's procedures without their permission, adding: "Every patient is unique. This isn't 'cookbook' surgery—it's thoughtful, personalised care." In the comment section, Kris was quick to gush over the doctor and thank him for his past work on her body amid buzz surrounding her new rumoured facelift. "Garth you are such a superstar class act," the momanger told the surgeon. ‌ "You did my first facelift in 2011… 14 years ago!!! and made it the most amazing experience ever and even gave us access to film so that others could get a peek inside what it's like and not be afraid… you have taken great care of us always and remain such a close and treasured friend!! Such an incredible talent!!" Kris and Kylie's new candidness about their surgeries is a far cry from the days the Kar-Jenner clan would lie about how they achieved their looks - with Kylie famously claiming her plump pout was due to cleverly applied liner rather than the filler injected into her lips. After fessing up to loving lip filler, Kylie has since denied ever having any facial plastic surgery, insisting that she has not resorted to fillers or Botox for her face. "I'm not against plastic surgery but as of now, I only have fillers. Like I've said before, it has always been a huge insecurity of mine and I wanted to make a change," she firmly stated in a previous post on her platform.
