Promote industrial growth extensively
Nellore: District Collector O Anand has directed the officials to ensure establishment of more industries to generate employment to the unemployed youth in the district. Addressing the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting, the Collector has disclosed that as many as 1,616 applications against total 1,700 received under Single Desk Portal (SDP) were solved, while 64 applications were rejected, another 64 are kept pending. The Collector said that most of the applications which were kept pending were related to Pollution Control Board (PCB) and Legal Metrology (LM) departments. He ordered that officials should show special attention over pending applications and solve them by discussing the issues with PBC and LM departments. He said that officials should organise awareness programmes about the World Bank supporting programme called 'Ramp' to promote more indistries in the district. The Collector said that as many as 76 units were physically grounded under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in the district. On the occasion, the Ceollector reviewed the progress related to the proposed industrial units of Jakson Infra, Utkarsha Alluminimum, Dhathu Nigam Limited and Cribco Green Energy Limited. Joint Collector Kollabathula Karthik, District Industries GM Maruthi Prasad, APIIC JD Sivakumar, Atmakur RDO Pavani and others were present.

Expedite approvals for new industries
Chittoor: District Collector Sumit Kumar underlined the need to expedite approvals for setting up industries through the single-window system to boost local employment opportunities. He was speaking at the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting held on Tuesday under the aegis of the District Industries Centre (DIC). During the meeting, the Collector said that the establishment of industries in the district would directly benefit the local youth by providing employment. He directed officials to speed up the process of granting permissions and to organise skill development training programmes to equip youth for job opportunities. He informed that for the financial year 2025-26, production has already commenced in 547 micro and small-scale industries with an investment of Rs 8.39 crore, generating employment for 1,604 people. Furthermore, initiatives have been taken to approve 13 large and medium industries with an investment of Rs 3,494 crore, and 38 micro and small enterprises with Rs 117 crore under the single-window system. If these proposed units begin operations, an estimated 15,000 jobs could be created. From April 2025 to date, 532 applications were received under the Single Desk system, of which 520 have already been approved. Applications under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for 2025-26 are currently being accepted, and the Collector instructed bankers to promptly review and sanction these applications. Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, permissions have been granted for 2,131 units, and training sessions have been held, benefiting 1,843 individuals so far. The meeting was attended by Industries GM C Suribabu, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Srinivasa Rao, APIIC Zonal Manager YVK Subba Rao, FAPPSI representative K Madhusudan, and Food Processing Association representative K Govardhan Babu, among others.

Collector exhorts several industriesto abide by safety standards
Anakapalli: District Collector Vijaya Krishnan instructed officials to take necessary steps for the establishment of new industries in the district. Speaking at a district-level meeting of the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) at the Collectorate on Monday, the Collector mentioned that since the last meeting held in April, 299 applications were received for seeking permission to set up industries from various departments. Of them, 239 applications have been approved, she District Collector directed the officials concerned to approve the pending applications following strict timelines. The DIEPC committee approved Rs.1.72 crore as government subsidy to 21 industries, the Collector informed. Further, Vijaya Krishnan conducted a review on inspections made in hazardous and harmful industries across the district. She stated that since October 1, 2024, a total of 196 industries were present in the district. Of them, 176 have been inspected. She said that suggestions were given to the respective industry management to improve safety protocols. Vijaya Krishnan took stock of the newly sanctioned land by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). She said that the district DIEPC committee meeting will be held every month. During the meeting, the officers explained measures taken on the issues discussed in the previous meeting to the Collector. District Industries Department General Manager V. Adi Seshu, APIIC DGM. Raja Sekhar, AP Pollution Control Board EE Mukunda Rao, Registrar Manmadha Rao, District Fire Department Officer R. Venkata Ramana, transport department officer Manohar and other district officials were present.

Collector pushes for investor-friendly environment to boost industries
Anantapur: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar directed officials to create a conducive and investor-friendly environment to attract and promote industrial development in the district. Chairing the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting at the Collectorate on Friday, the Collector instructed departments to provide swift approvals for setting up industries. He emphasized the need for single-desk portal facilitation to provide all necessary permissions quickly and support entrepreneurs. The meeting approved a subsidy of Rs. 62.86 lakh for 21 units under the Industrial Development Policy. Officials were also instructed to process pending applications promptly through the Single Window Portal. The Collector called for expediting loans under the PMEGP and Stand-Up India schemes, ensuring no delays. Under the Vishwakarma scheme, eligible applicants should be identified and provided with training and financial support. He also encouraged SHGs and farmers to explore opportunities in banana fiber products such as bags and hats and raise awareness of loan schemes related to this. Additionally, 13 services related to the Industries Department have been integrated into the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service via APIIC, and public awareness initiatives on this are to be undertaken. The Collector extended his gratitude to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh for facilitating the establishment of renewable integrated complexes and Harit Amrit industries in the district.

Urban areas require understanding of PM Voahwakarma Yojana: Collector
Puttaparthi: Collector T.S. Chetan emphasized that industrial development is key to achieving economic growth in the district. He made these remarks while presiding over the District Industries and Export Promotion Committee (DIEPC) meeting held at the PGRS Conference Hall in the Collectorate on Wednesday. During the meeting, the Collector first reviewed the functioning of the District Industries Department. He stressed the need to strengthen the industrial sector and enhance coordination among all related departments to boost the district's economic development. He directed that all pending applications under the Single Desk Portal must be resolved promptly. The review revealed that 21 applications are currently pending in the Single Desk Portal. These include 1 with APIIC, 18 forwarded to APPCB, 1 with the Department of Factories, and 1 with the Fire Services Department. Additionally, 20 MSME claims related to industrial incentives are still awaiting approval. The Collector instructed officials to ensure speedy resolution of all pending applications. Highlighting the importance of promoting the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, the Collector called for extensive awareness campaigns at the urban level and encouraged prompt collection of applications from eligible beneficiaries. He directed nodal officers in village and ward secretariats to take special initiatives for the implementation of this scheme. The meeting was attended by District Industries General Manager Nagaraju, APIIC Zonal Manager Sony Sahani, DPO Samanta, LDM Ramana Kumar, Handlooms Department Officer K. Krishnamurthy, District Fire Officer Hemant Reddy, DICCI representative Venkataramana, and other officials.
