Box office performance As per Sacnilk, the film opened with a moderate Rs 8 crore gross worldwide on its first day, with around Rs 4 crore coming from Tamil Nadu alone. By the end of two weeks, Lal Salaam had collected approximately Rs 17.5 crore net in India and around Rs 32.5 crore worldwide.
