Quick! The Elemis Cleanser Everyone Loves Is Selling Out In The Amazon Sale
One of the biggest shopping events of the year is in full swing, and it certainly isn't disappointing - especially where excellent beauty buys are concerned. Yes, this year's Amazon Prime Day sale could be the best yet. There's been unmissable deals from some of the best names (and products) in the business - think huge savings on the Dyson Airwrap and the Braun IPL Hair Removal Tool. Much to the delight of skincare aficionados, the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm has also secured its place in the sale. Now priced at £34.91 (down from £49) it's a make-up removing hero adored by celebrities the world over - Cara Delevingne and Victoria Beckham are said to be fans. Described by the brand as 'a nourishing cleansing balm that melts away make-up, daily pollutants and impurities for a soft and glowing complexion,' it does what it says on the tub. If a thoroughly cleansed (and a brighter, more beautiful complexion) is your MO, then this is one deal you won't want to miss. Our advice? This is set to sell-out fast, so hit that check out button while stocks last. 1. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Made to 'nourish as a balm, easily remove makeup as a cleansing oil and hydrate as a cleansing milk' the Elemis Cleansing Balm is far from just your basic wash and go. It's formulated with several skincare heroes. Read: Elderberry oil which is rich in essential fatty acids to bolster tired complexions, starflower oil (the richest natural source of gamma linolenic acid) to maintain healthy skin turnover and padina pavonica (a type of algae) to support hydration. Rachael Martin beauty director says: 'A big claim, but I can safely say that this is my favourite cleansing balm of all time. It starts off as a solid formula but melts into a slightly milky, balmier texture that applies beautifully and doesn't drag on the skin. I'll work it into my complexion and watch as my make-up (including waterproof mascara) melts away. I have oily skin, and typically a balm has been known to break me out, but this one doesn't. I use as the first step in my double cleansing routine alongside a gel-based cleanser and I'm rigorous about ensuring any remnants are swept off my skin promptly. This prevents any blocked pores. My skin is far from perfect, but now that I've adopted a more Elemis consistent skincare routine I've seen a marked improvement in how it looks – it's brighter, smoother and bouncier. And although I still battle with redness, I do have less spots and blemishes. And the scent, oh, the scent! Delicate but deliciously aromatic, it leaves your face wash routine feeling that touch more special. Would recommend.' Read my full review here. Pros Long lasting Available in several iterations Cons Might be too thick for some skin types Rachael Martin is Grazia's Beauty Director Originally from Northern Ireland, she studied English Literature at Queen's University Belfast, before moving to London to pursue a career in magazine journalism.

Popular Elemis cleansing balm alternative is just as good and costs £22 less
Elemis' Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm has taken over 'Beauty-Tok,' but some fans have shared their dismay at the hefty price tag, but I tried a great alternative - and it's nearly half the price If you're a lover of makeup like me, and cannot help but romanticise the boring corporate sludge with a fun makeup look and 'siren-core' outfit - that's HR appropriate - then you'll know how important a quality daily cleanser can be. Especially with the rise of pollution, the dirt of public transport and harsh water, our skin seems to be fighting its hardest to remain a blemish and spot-free zone. So when the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm caused a viral wave through the beauty community, I had to see what the fuss was about. Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm - key benefits New to London, and religiously budget-friendly, my means of trying the £49 cleanser was to nab some in the bathroom I share with my sister. Totally illegal by our terms but I was tired of my skin breaking out. Promising to be the "ultimate cleansing experience," the award-winning product advertises itself as "three indulgent textures in one". Beginning as a solid similar to hard coconut oil, the balm then melts upon contact with your skin, working through the grime and makeup of the day. Satisfyingly, the cleanser morphs into a creamy facewash once water is added, resulting in a thorough cleanse that saves you several cotton pads and a quarter of your micellar water. Perfect for long-wear looks, I believed this miracle balm was my one-and-only saviour - but my bank account disagreed. Never the one to experiment with new products - which my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation can testify too - the only option was to lie in secret wait for my sister to source a new cleanser to try. The results of her consumerism paid off when she bought home a new cleansing balm that was just as good and £22 cheaper. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. We'd love to hear from you! Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - key benefits Clinique is a well-known brand often seen in our mothers' cupboards, where we assume its products aren't for us. However, Clinique's loyal fanbase has begun to include Gen Z, who entered via the Black Honey lip balm gateway. Named the second-best cleansing balm, Clinique's Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm scored 94/100 by Good Housekeeping, the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm has been praised for it's identical results to the Elemis' viral hit, and it's surprisingly affordable. The balm is currently £26.95 thanks to a 21% off sale at LookFantastic. Usually £34, you can now bag the cleanser for £7 less. Alternatively, you can save £11 on the product by shopping at Allbeauty, who sells the cleanser for £22.95. So does Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Compared to the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, which costs £49 for 100g, the Clinique alternative is almost half the price for the same amount at £26.95, so you're saving £22. Having tried both, Clinique is just as gentle and able to break down layers of makeup with one wash. With an oily base, the cleanser is great at washing off stubborn mascara, activating with water into a slight cream-cleanser, and does not strip your skin of any moisture. Emily from Cardiff wrote on Clinique's website: "This balm is the best cleansing balm! I have highly sensitive skin and suffer from dermatitis at times and this product this never causes any flare ups or disturbances. "Despite other reviews saying its smells greasy it most certainly doesn't, it's just fragrance free which should always be seen as a bonus. It's more on the expensive side however will say lasts about 4/5 months if used every single day. 10/10". I personally prefer Clinique as a little goes a long way – having found more of the Elemis product was needed per wash.

Why you need to switch up your cleanser for summmer — and the 10 you should know about now
We all cleanse twice a day — or at least we should — and while cleansers that remove dirt, grime and makeup are an abundant and hardworking breed, finding options that work for your specific skin needs and leave your complexion looking and feeling fresh, vital and nourished, rather than tight, stripped, sensitive or dry, is more of a challenge. Moreover, call me hard to please, but I am also partial to those cleansers that not only deliver the goods for the complexion, but also bolster my mind by adding some sensorial elegance and joy to ones day, especially when it comes to my evening routine. In skincare terms, the summer months tend to signal that it's time to switch up your cleansing routine, as we spend more time outdoors and are inevitably more exposed to the elements, including dust and pollution. At this time of year we are likely to apply sunscreen more often and to sweat more excessively too. First and foremost, while you may want to reconsider rethinking your cleanser as the weather warms, so that it works harder for you, do remember that the basic cleansing theory remains the same, ensuring that you continue to double cleanse at night. 'In the summer you might want to switch from a more thick, unctuous balm such as Skin Rocks Cleansing Balm, (£55 or Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, (£49 to something lighter like Tatcha Camellia Cleansing oil, (£48 says skincare expert and KMP Skin Clinic founder Katharine MacKenzie Paterson. 'That said, my go-to for a weeknight cleanse in hot weather - so removing make up, SPF, and 'the day'- would be Medik8 Lipid Balance Cleansing Oil (£29 and then a gentle foaming cleanser like Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser, (£39 or Epionce Purifying Wash, (£41 as I find that I can get oilier and be more prone to breakouts with the heat, so using a foaming cleanser feels more purifying' Consultant dermatologist Alexis Granite agrees. 'Foaming or gel cleansers tend to be the ideal texture for summer, as they are best equipped to clear away the extra perspiration, grime and residue that is typical of warmer months, as well as makeup and sunscreen. In addition, I recommend looking out for ingredients within cleansers that can help reduce congestion, such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Glycolic and Salicylic Acid too.' Dr Granite's personal picks? 'CeraVe's new Balancing Air Foam Cleanser, (£14.49 is formulated with Glycosyline to control oil while also providing hydration, great for summer. I also like Natura Bissé Oxygen Mousse Foaming Cleanser, (£52 and Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser, (£29 My own skin tends to go haywire as summer arrives, but I find that CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser with Salicylic Acid, (£14.50 ) Dermalogica Magnetic[+] Afterglow Cleanser, (£49 which features positively charged Hyaluronic Acid to help retain moisture and boost glow, and Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Hydrating Cleanser, (£38 manage to keep my complexion on the straight and narrow. Finally, those feeling the urge to cleanse their skin more in the heat, should ensure that they are not overdoing it, or stripping their skin. 'Choose a cleanser well suited to your skin type, and look for options that are pH-balanced and sulfate-free,' says 'Ingredients such as ceramides, Centella Asiatica, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and Allantoin can also ensure the barrier is supported, while also allowing the product to thoroughly cleanse.
