₹1 crore insurance cover to workers employed by power utilities: Deputy CM
HYDERABAD The power utilities in Telangana have introduced ₹1 crore accident insurance cover to every worker employed by them and it is a historic milestone in the country, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who handles the portfolio of Energy and Finance, said. Speaking after handing a cheque for ₹1 crore along with the appointment letter on compassionate grounds to the wife of J. Naresh, who lost his life in an accident while on duty for the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TGNPDCL) in Chenjerla Section of the Karimnagar Circle earlier this year, J. Sushma at an event here on Monday, he stated that implementing such a high-value accident insurance cover to electricity workers was possible only because of 'Indiramma Rajyam'. He noted that no government in the past had even thought of such an insurance cover and worked for the welfare of workers in such a measure. It had become possible now with the Congress coming to power in the State. Providing both accident insurance and a compassionate appointment was a reflection of the Congress government's vision, action and humane approach, the Deputy Chief Minister said. He recalled that such an accident insurance scheme was first introduced in Singareni and later extended to the power utilities. The provision of accident insurance worth over ₹1 crore instils a sense of security among all workers in the power utilities, Mr. Vikramarka said and asked the workers to serve people of the State with dedication. He complimented Chairman and Managing Director of the TGNPDCL K. Varun Reddy for successfully implementing the government's vision. The event was attended by Advisor (Political) to the government Vem Narender Reddy and senior officials from the energy and banking sectors.

Govt aims to harness talent of youth for societal benefit
HYDERABAD: Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the people's government is ensuring employment and livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth in three phases. On Saturday, he inaugurated the Mega Job Fair organised by Singareni Collieries Company at Wyra constituency in khammam district. Speaking to the youth, he emphasized that the government aims to harness the talent of every educated person for societal benefit. The government is working on three-phases on Jobs for unemployed youth. The Telangana Public Service Commission has been restructured, and a job calendar was released. 56,000 government jobs were filled in the first year, and efforts are underway to fill another 30,000. By attracting multinational companies through infrastructure development, job opportunities are being created for lakhs of youth, he said. Self-Employment: Through the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, Rs 9,000 crore has been allocated to encourage self-employment. On June 2, 5 lakh youths will receive sanction letters. He criticized the previous government (BRS) for not filling 2 lakh vacancies during their 10-year rule and failing to conduct even one Group-1 exam. Many qualified youths were left unemployed, which led to emotional and financial distress among families. The Congress government is now working to provide opportunities through the three-phase plan under Indiramma Rajyam. He also highlighted tribal welfare, stating that under the UPA leadership, the Forest Rights Act (ROFR) granted land rights to tribals. The previous government failed to allow them to cultivate this land. In contrast, the current government has launched the Indira Solar Giri Jal Vikasam scheme with Rs 12,600 crore to help tribals cultivate their lands using solar-powered irrigation, borewells, drip, and sprinkler systems, and free saplings (avocado, palm oil). On education, he announced the construction of 60 Young India Integrated Residential Schools with a Rs 11,600 crore budget, providing quality free education from Class 4 to Intermediate. He stated that such a large-scale education investment is unprecedented in the State history. He noted that Telangana is the only state distributing subsidized rice via ration shops. On women empowerment, he said that while previous governments failed to provide interest-free loans, this year alone Rs 21,000 crore was disbursed. Over 5 years, Rs 1 lakh crore in interest-free loans will be given to make 1 crore women millionaires. For farmers, Rs18,000 crore was allocated for the Rythu Bharosa scheme, the government is paying the insurance premiums, and an additional Rs 500 bonus per quintal is being given for paddy procurement. Drip and sprinkler systems are also being promoted.

Will fulfil every promise made to people in 3 years: Kadiyam
Hanamkonda: Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari stated on Wednesday that he will fulfil every promise made to people in the coming three years. He emphasised that it was only under the Indiramma Rajyam that the poor have truly received welfare benefits. He inaugurated CC road costing rs30 lakh in Kothapalli of Chilpur mandal, serving as the chief guest. Villagers gave him a grand welcome by draping him with a shawl and showering flowers. Speaking at the meeting held afterwards, the MLA said he was striving to develop the Chilpur mandal centre in all aspects. He claimed that his constituency received the highest funds in the State; necessary measures will be taken to complete the development works swiftly. Srihari promised to take full responsibility for the all-round development of the newly formed Chilpur mandal. He stated that construction of mandal offices would be undertaken within the mandal centre. He announced that the Mallanna Gandi lift irrigation works would be completed, ensuring water for two crops by coming July; rs25 lakh has been sanctioned for additional CC road works in the mandal; funds would be allocated for a crematorium as well. The MLA affirmed that he would continue to bring maximum funds for the constituency development and work in a way that enhances people's respect. He hoped the government would continue to receive blessings of people.
