A host of Irish stars turned out for the biggest night in the showbiz calendar - as Muireann O'Connell was crowned Most Stylish Woman at this year's Platinum VIP Style Awards. The annual Platinum VIP Style Awards took place on Friday night at The InterContinental Hotel where the best in Irish fashion brought the glitz and glam to walk the red carpet. Hosted by 2FM star Laura Fox, the awards, now in their 22nd year, are the only national celebration of Irish style. Stars from the world of TV and radio including Jennifer Zamparelli, Sarah McInerney, Claire Brock, Ciara Doherty, Siobhan Bastible, Celia Holman Lee, Kathryn Thomas, Maura Derrane, Cecelia Ahern, Yvonne Keating, Lottie and Bonnie Ryan, Blathnaid Treacy, Katja Mia, Anna Daly, Rosanna Davison, Arthur Gourounlian, Zara King, Colette Fitzpatrick, Roz Purcell and Glenda Gilson pulled out all the stops for the style event of the year. Ireland AM presenter Muireann O'Connell claimed the biggest award on the night as she was named Most Stylish Woman. 'This is so lovely. Everyone here is so lovely,' said a delighted Muireann as s he paid tribute to her Ireland Am co-host Alan Hughes. 'Everyone is so sound (in the industry). I don't know what I'd do without Alan and Tommy (Bowe).' Along with Muireann , the night's other big winners included James Patrice, who took home the award for Most Stylish Man, while Dancing with the Stars finalist Kayleigh Trappe was named Most Stylish Newcomer. Also honoured on the night was Rosanna Davison, who received the award for Look of the Year, while Maeve Madden picked up the gong for Most Stylish Online Influencer. From the show-stoppers to the jaw-droppers, the daringly overstated to the equally eye-catching under-rated, the VIP Style Awards red carpet showcased the good, the bad and the grand of Irish fashion. Racy side-splits, to raunchy bodice-ripped to belly-baring midriffs to the more demurely turned-out reserved, the celebrity set turned up and turned the style-o-meter up a serious notch at the 2025 VIP Style Awards. The red carpet was a veritable fashion catwalk, ranging from the pared-back to the dramatically over-the-top. There was on trend haute couture to old-style classic creations. Saucy slits to latex Irish stars dare to bare at Style Awards
Temperatures are rising on the VIP Style Awards carpet as Ireland's hottest stars strip down for the biggest night in fashion. From saucy slits to luscious latex, everyone who's anyone is daring to bare for this year's festivities, which seeks to celebrate the best of the best of Irish style. Irish sporting legends recall the glory days to help raise €12,000 for charity
Around €12,000 was raised for charity as sporting legends came together for a good cause. Paralympic gold medallist Ellen Keane, former Republic of Ireland footballer Niall Quinn, ex-Ireland rugby international Shane Byrne, and Kilkenny hurling legend Tommy Walsh kept crowds entertained during a charity lunch at the InterContinental Dublin. The star-studded panel recounted stories of days gone by and answered questions as part of a Q&A, all in aid of the Cappagh Hospital Foundation. The event on Friday, May 16 brought together generous donors, supporters, and friends of the foundation for an afternoon of inspiration, entertainment and fundraising. MC and auctioneer Barry Murphy hosted a live auction and raffle, with standout prizes including a signed Masters flag from champion golfer Rory McIlroy, VIP tickets to Oasis, All-Ireland final tickets, a luxury trip to Cannes, and flights for two to Chicago to see Ireland take on the All Blacks in October. A show-stopping performance came from Brian Keville, frontman of Queen tribute band Qween and 18 months post-surgery for sarcoma. His powerful vocals and stage presence wowed the audience and served as a moving testament to the foundation's impact. Niamh Long, board director and chair of the Fundraising Committee, spoke passionately about Brian's diagnosis and the critical role of the recently installed CT scanner - funded by the foundation - in enabling early detection. Chair of Cappagh Hospital Foundation, Sean O'Neill, welcomed guests and thanked all who attended, recognising the incredible generosity that made the event such a success.
