Exclusive: Jeetu Kamal breaks his silence on Chirodini harassment row, says co-star Ditipriya is ‘talented but very kiddish'
Actress Ditipriya Roy, known for her role in Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, has brought serious allegations against her co-star Jeetu Kamal, citing inappropriate messages and behaviour. The matter surfaced after Roy issued a public statement on Instagram, detailing incidents that left her uncomfortable and explaining why she had remained silent until now. The production house involved in the show has yet to issue a formal response. Social media post sparks speculation The issue began with a photograph shared on social media by Jeetu Kamal, which Roy claims she personally found inappropriate. She stated that the image was provided by the production team for promotional use, but one specific picture made her uneasy. She conveyed her discomfort to the team and not to Jeetu directly. Despite this, Jeetu reportedly mentioned in several interviews that the photo received negative comments and that Ditipriya was hurt by it something she denies ever discussing with him. According to Roy, this misrepresentation added to her discomfort. 'I never said anything about receiving obscene comments,' she clarified. She further noted that when she expressed her concerns about the image, the focus shifted to criticisms about her professionalism. She was told she couldn't handle things "spontaneously," and her discomfort was dismissed as an overreaction. Ditipriya details alleged messages In her statement, Roy elaborated on interactions with Jeetu that went beyond professional boundaries. She claimed that Jeetu stopped speaking to her directly and communicated only through WhatsApp. His messages, she said, included personal remarks and inappropriate jokes. Among the examples shared by Roy were instances where Jeetu asked, "Are you pregnant?" after she mentioned a doctor's appointment. She also said he sent her an AI-generated image of them kissing with a caption suggesting she forward it to her boyfriend. In another message, he reportedly asked her to keep their conversation hidden from her mother, saying, 'I'm scared of her.' While Roy initially tried to dismiss the comments as jokes, she eventually found them troubling. 'These incidents made me uncomfortable over time. Many people on the set are aware of what happened,' she stated. Roy speaks out after weeks of silence Roy, 22, explained that she stayed quiet for some time in hopes of maintaining peace at work. 'I didn't want the show to suffer,' she said, adding that her decision to finally speak out came from a refusal to tolerate disrespect. She also mentioned that other actors on set have had similar experiences with Jeetu, though she did not name them. When Indiatimes reached out to Ditipriya's manager he added 'This has been going on for weeks. We will sit with everyone from the production team to the technical crew to discuss the issue. Our aim is resolution, and we're not saying she doesn't want to work. The point is to speak up against harassment and disrespect. We might consider legal options or negotiations, but for now, we are trying to resolve it internally. She is still shooting.' Indiatimes also spoke to Jeetu Kamal who added, 'I did not post anything in the first place. Later, I had to post for my protection, for my clarification and so on. I come from a respected background myself, everyone was raising their fingers towards me. I have my own parents and hence I had to give a counter and for this reason I posted on my official account to explain the scenario from my end. I did not expect this kind of work from Ditipriya as she herself is very talented and educated. I don't know for what reason she has done this. She is a child and very kiddish.' As of now these allegations show a tense standoff, where Ditipriya accuses of harassment, Jeetu refutes claims and any mediation or legal action may follow.

Ditipriya Roy Makes SHOCKING Harassment Claims Against Co-Star Jeetu Kamal: ‘Asked If I'm Pregnant'
Last Updated: Ditipriya Roy accuses co-star Jeetu Kamal of sending AI-generated kissing photos and inappropriate messages in a shocking Instagram post. News18 Bengali TV actress Ditipriya Roy has come forward with serious claims against her Chirodini Tumi Je Amar co-star Jeetu Kamal, accusing him of harassment and disturbing behaviour both on and off set. In a detailed Instagram post, she shared her side of the story and revealed a series of uncomfortable interactions that left her shaken. The Rani Rashmoni star began by addressing online chatter about her recent silence. In her words, 'Over the past few days, there has been a lot of speculation about me, and I chose to remain silent. Because I believe that 'Ignorance is bliss'." Ditipriya recalled that the issue began when Jeetu posted a behind-the-scenes picture from their show, which she personally didn't approve of. Though the photo was eventually removed, she claims Jeetu continued to speak about it publicly, sharing a version of the incident she says wasn't true. 'The truth is, I never even spoke to him about it!" she wrote. 'I had only informed the production team… I never said anything about receiving vulgar or obscene comments." Despite being upset, she says she was told things like: 'She can't handle things spontaneously. It was just a photo—why such a fuss?" She added, 'He also said, 'I have a lot of respect and affection for Ditipriya. Her dedication is on another level.' I want to believe that my co-actor truly respects and cares for me." But according to Ditipriya, it didn't stop there. She shared disturbing details of private messages allegedly sent by Jeetu, which made her deeply uncomfortable. 'From the very first month, my co-actor stopped talking to me directly and only communicated via WhatsApp," she said, adding, 'When I asked him why, he said, 'I'm scared of your mother, but I have immense respect for you'." One message in particular stood out. 'He then asked, 'Why, are you pregnant?'" she recalled, after informing him she had a doctor's appointment. In another instance, he sent her an AI-generated photo of them kissing, with a message saying, 'Good, send this to your boyfriend." She says he added, 'You'll break up with him tonight itself." She also claimed, 'On another occasion, he messaged me saying, 'I need to talk to you, make sure your mom doesn't find out. I'm scared of her'." Though she initially brushed off the comments as jokes, Ditipriya says the repeated behaviour began to seriously affect her. 'Over time they made me extremely uncomfortable. Some issues on the set also started bothering me. Almost everyone on our shooting floor knows about these events," she wrote. view comments First Published: August 06, 2025, 13:48 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Paras Arora on Gharwali Pedwali: Comedy shows are rare and I love being part of one
Paras Arora Last seen in Gehna Zewar Ya Zanjeer, Paras Arora is gearing up for his next role in Gharwali Pedwali, a family comedy with a supernatural twist. He plays Prithvi Mishra, also known as Jeetu, a man navigating life with two sets of everything: parents, bosses, and even wives. Speaking about his return to the comedy genre, Paras says, 'Comedy shows have become quite rare these days and I enjoy working in this space. While drama dominates Indian television, not many shows aim to genuinely make people laugh. I consider it a privilege to be part of one that does. It had been a while since I explored this genre and I truly connected with the script, the concept, and my character Jeetu. Another appealing aspect is that most characters in the show are rooted in Uttar Pradesh, which adds a nice cultural layer. ' Describing his character, he shares, 'What I find most fun and fascinating about Jeetu is how he's caught between his gharwali and pedwali, constantly juggling both lives. The situations he finds himself in are bizarre, humorous, and oddly relatable. Jeetu isn't street smart or manipulative, he's just trying to keep things from spiralling out of control. There's an innocence to him that makes him very likeable.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo Paras also touches on the complexity of playing Jeetu. He says, 'One of the biggest challenges was striking the right balance, ensuring he didn't come across as either too clever or too naïve. There's a thin line between being sharp and being wise and walking that convincingly was something I really enjoyed.' The show also promises to blend traditional values with contemporary humour in unexpected ways. On the title, he adds, 'Gharwali Pedwali is quirky and fits perfectly with the story's tone. It sets the stage for the kind of chaos the audience can expect, with enough surprises to keep them hooked.'

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3: Vijay Verma reveals he ran away from home to pursue his dream of acting; Jitendra Kumar on being a IT graduate
The couch is packed, the stories are wild, and the laughter? Non-stop. This Saturday, The Great Indian Kapil Show is rolling out a fun-filled episode featuring OTT's finest: , , , and . Tired of too many ads? go ad free now These four aren't just powerhouse performers — turns out, they're also loaded with the kind of backstories you'd expect in a movie… and maybe even wilder. We have always heard of the 'Struggle' and are inspired by the lengths an actor who loves their craft can go to for a role, for a chance and to create impact. But listening to some of India's biggest streaming stars speak about their big break, who they were before they got it and how passionate they were in their resolve to make it happen is what inspired us the most during this episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Jeetu, our favourite professor from Kota Factory wasn't just portraying a role of preparing students for IIT but has experienced the IIT life himself. His choice of career after being an IIT graduate came as a shock to Kapil, to which Pratik Gandhi promptly replied, 'Engineering ke baad aap ko sach mein pata chalta hai ki aapko life mein kya karna hai.' We know many viewers watching at home will definitely begin nodding at the truth to that statement. The flip side to Pratik and Jeetu being engineers who found acting by chance are Vijay Verma and Jaideep Ahlawat who knew they wanted to be actors from the start. From Vijay Verma sharing, 'Maine ek dost ko bola mera selection ho gaya mere paas paise nahin hai zyada, usne paise dediye fees ke, maine kaha ab permission toh nahin milegi ghar se, bhaagte hai, toh main ghar se bhaag gaya!' and Jaideep sharing about how he and Vijay have been batchmates since FTII and used to dream of the day they would see themselves on the big screen. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now When you watch this episode of TGIKS it feels like the famous SRK Om-Shanti-Om dialogue coming to life. Because the universe really has given these 4 their well deserved fame that continues to grow. Given the amount of success the actors have had, Sunil Grover aka Diamond Raja will be teaching them how to navigate the success with his 'audition anthem' that could give Bollywood item songs a run for their money! He also teaches them how to strike left, right, and 'open-to-options' poses to prepare for their Oscar moment. If all the anecdotes, running away and engineering waala pyaar stories were not enough, we also managed to see Jaideep groove on stage with the airport security divas Sona and Mona (you know WHO they are) who are rulers of the airport rather than guards. While Jaideep's acting is always razor sharp his moves too are quite 'qatal'! And just when you think the episode can't pack any more surprises — Korean superstar Jackson Wang lands on the TGIKS set, making this one of the most unexpected and exciting episodes of the season so far where K-pop meets Ka-Pil. Arshad Warsi opens up about being replaced by Salman Khan in 'Bigg Boss', Akshay Kumar in 'Jolly LLB 2'
