Hyderabad: To inspect and review the arrangements for the smooth arrival of Haj pilgrims returning from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Syed Shah Ghulam Afzal Biyabani (Khusro Pasha), on Wednesday visited the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. During the inspection, the Chairman personally examined various key facilities prepared for the comfort and convenience of the returning Hajis. These included the Wazu (ablution) area, Namaz (prayer) area, holding area, exit gates, Zam Zam water distribution counter, customs clearance point, and overall passenger flow arrangements. The Chairman was accompanied by officials from the Telangana State Haj Committee, Airport Authority, Customs, CISF, and GMR officials, who briefed him about the steps being taken to ensure a smooth and respectful reception of the pilgrims. He emphasized the need for seamless coordination between all concerned departments to provide dignified and hassle-free services to the pilgrims, many of whom are senior citizens. It was informed during the inspection that the arrival of Haj pilgrims is scheduled to begin from June 13 and will continue up to July 9, in multiple batches. Sajjad Ali, Executive Officer, Telangana State Haj Committee, Md. Mujeebuddin, Md Layeeq, Dr Syed Azhar Ali, Members TS Haj Committee, K M Reddy Addl. BCAS, R C Meena, Deputy Commandant CISF, Shamandar Addl FRRO, Junaid Salik Deputy Commissioner Customs, Md Wajeed Ali Saudi Airlines, Sujit GMR Security, Santosh CISF, Sumit Kapoor GMR, Leela GMR, Sunil GMR, Pankaj Raxa and other officials were also present.

Hyderabad: To ensure round-the-clock communication with Haj pilgrims and State Haj inspectors and to facilitate their convenience, a dedicated control room has been established at the Telangana State Haj Committee office. The control room was formally inaugurated by Maulana Syed Shah Khusro Pasha, Chairman of the Telangana State Haj Committee. On this occasion, Khusro Pasha stated that the Control Room will operate 24 hours and has been divided into three shifts of eight hours each, with three staff members per shift to ensure continuous support and communication. He further informed that although the control room was officially inaugurated now, it has been operational since May 28, coinciding with the departure of the last and 30th batch of Haj pilgrims. The staff has been in constant contact with pilgrims and State Haj inspectors, regularly checking on their well-being. Khusro Pasha added that the Haj rituals are scheduled to begin on June 3, and the control room will continue functioning until July 9, ensuring smooth coordination until the safe return of all pilgrims. Sajjad Ali, Executive Officer, and Mohammed Mujeebuddin, Member of the Telangana State Haj Committee were present. Hyderabad: Ahead of Haj-2025 operations, Telangana State Haj Committee convened a high-level coordination meeting on Wednesday at Shamshabad Airport, to review and streamline the airport arrangements for the departure and arrival of Haj pilgrims from the Hyderabad Embarkation Point to the Main Terminal, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad. The meeting was conducted by Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, Chairman, Telangana State Haj Committee, by key stakeholders from various departments and agencies involved in Haj operations. The discussions covered a wide range of important arrangements including transit accommodation for pilgrims at Haj House prior to departure, booking of flights and issuance of boarding passes, screening and check-in of luggage, custom facilitation counters at the departure terminal, transportation of Haj pilgrims and their baggage from Haj House to RGIA, coordination with Saudi Airlines and GMR airport authorities for seamless operations. Khusro Pasha emphasised the need for flawless execution and close coordination among all departments to ensure the comfort, safety, and dignity of the pilgrims. All officials assured their full cooperation and support to facilitate a smooth and well-organised pilgrimage for all Haj pilgrims departing from Hyderabad. Janab Khusro Pasha also said that, the Telangana State Haj Committee remains committed to providing the highest standard of service for Haj pilgrims and ensuring that all arrangements are carried out with utmost care and efficiency.
