Two locals held for drugs in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Two local men were detained separately during Op Tapis at Kampung Puyut, here, on Saturday for possessing drugs. District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail, said the first suspect, a 32-year-old man working as a laborer was arrested after police found 0.54 grams of Syabu in his possession. Advertisement The suspect also tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. The suspect also had four previous criminal records related to drugs, he said. Police also detained a 47-year-old unemployed man for possessing 0.25 grams of Syabu, and had two previous criminal records related to drugs. 'Both of the suspects are being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. Advertisement 'The first case will also be investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952,' he said. Trio held for syabu, air rifle seized in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three foreigners and seized syabu as well as air rifle in two separate operations here, on Tuesday. District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau said in the first operation at Ladang Sebrang, police arrested a 35-year-old Indonesian. He said the suspect's arrest led to the discovery of substances believed to be syabu weighing 5.40 grammes estimated worth RM594. The suspect also tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. On the same day, police detained two Indonesians aged 40 and 41 in front of a house in Ladang Bagahak 3. Police found 5.07 grammes of substance believed to be syabu on the first suspect while the second suspect's arrest led to the discovery of a homemade air rifle hidden in the house's porch,' he said. Jimmy said both suspects tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. All the suspects were detained under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 as well as Section 8(a) of the Firearms Act 1960. 'Further investigations are ongoing to identify the network and modus operandi of drug trafficking activities,' said Jimmy. Jimmy said the Lahad Datu Police are committed to combating drug activities in the district. Indonesian nabbed in Lahad Datu for having syabu

LAHAD DATU: Police here arrested a 32-year-old Indonesian for having syabu worth RM641. District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said the labourer was detained in front of a hotel in Jalan Panji, here, on Tuesday. Police detained the suspect upon receiving an tip. 'The team seized a translucent plastic containing a substance believed to be syabu weighing 5.83 grammes. 'The suspect also tested positive for Methamphetamine,' he said, adding that investigation is ongoing under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. Police urged the public to provide information to assist the police in combating drug-related criminal activities in the district. Three men nabbed for Syabu in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Three men were arrested in separate raids during an anti-drug operation at Kampung Puyut, Jalan Pantai, on Saturday. District Acting Police Chief Supt. Jimmy Panyau said the suspects were detained by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division of the Lahad Datu Police. Advertisement The first suspect was caught with 0.20 grams of syabu, the second with 0.53 grams, and the third with 0.29 grams. All are being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
