Longhorns women's basketball reveals 2025-26 conference schedule

With the women's college basketball season just a few months away, Longhorns fans can start marking their calendars. On Tuesday, Texas revealed its SEC slate for the 2025-2026 season. After falling just a few wins short of a national title last year, they have a few exciting matchups on the horizon. During the 2025-2026 campaign, Texas is set to welcome Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M to the Moody Center. In conference play, they will go on the road to face Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. The Longhorns' first conference home game will come on January 4th when they take on Ole Miss. Four days later, Auburn will make the trip to Forty Acres before Texas goes on the road to face LSU and South Carolina. The January slate also includes trips to Fayetteville on the 25th and Gainesville on the 29th. When the regular season comes to an end, Texas will shift its focus to the 2026 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament. It will be held at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The tournament, which will include all 16 games, is set to start on March 4 and end on March 8th. While the Longhorns will be looking to add another conference title to the rafters, they also have unfinished business. Last season, they made it to the Final Fur before their season came to an end. With a roster full of talent and retiring stars such as Madison Booker, they are poised to build on their success. In conference play, Texas will be able to show just how good they are. If they can mirror their success from the 2023-2024 campaign, the rest of the SEC could be in trouble. Longhorns star adds another gold medal to her trophy case

While the start of the college basketball season is still months away, Madison Booker has been busy making headlines. Over the last few weeks, the Longhorns star has been playing for Team USA at the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup. On Sunday night, she added another gold medal to her trophy case. With Booker leading the way, Team USA secured gold following a 92-84 win over Brazil. In the championship game, Booker scored seven points and hauled five rebounds. It marked her sixth start of the tournament in seven games. Regardless of the opponent, Booker has shown why she is one of the best in the country. In Team USA's semifinal win over Canada, the Germantown High School product scored seven of Team USA's 14 points in the fourth quarter. That came following a 13-point and six-steal performance against the Dominican Republic in the semifinals. Her six steals tied Ruth Bolton, Lisa Leslie, and Carla McGhee for the USA single-game steals record. For many in Austin, Booker's latest achievement comes as no surprise. In her sophomore campaign, the Ridgeland native earned First Team All-America honors. Booker was also named the SEC Player of the Year for the second time. As Texas fell just a few wins short of a national title, Booker was a human highlight reel. Through her first two years as a Longhorn, Booker has scored 1,231 points and dished out 287 assists. She has also been a menace on the boards with 436 rebounds. On the national stage, she has continued to be that player while taking her career to new heights. The last few weeks have provided a reminder of just how good Booker is and why special things could be in store for the Longhorns during the 2025-2026 campaign.

Longhorns star Madison Booker earns special invitation from USA Basketball

Following another stellar season, Madison Booker has received a prestigious honor. The Longhorns star has been selected for the USA Basketball Women's AmeriCup team. Her latest achievement comes after three days of trials in Colorado Springs. Booker and the rest of Team USA will compete at the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup, which starts later this month on June 28th. Booker will get to play alongside some of the best players in the country. That includes Raegan Beers, Mikayla Blakes, Audi Crooks, Joyce Edwards, Hannah Hidalgo, Flau'jae Johnson and Gianna Kneepkens. While this is a unique honor for Booker, it is not the first time the Longhorns forward has gotten an opportunity to shine on the world stage. Before starting her college career, the Germantown High School product won multiple gold medals with USA basketball. She was part of teams that won gold at the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup, 2022 FIBA U17 Women's World Cup, and 2021 FIBA Women's U16 Americas Championship. Booker is poised to add another medal to her trophy case. To many in Austin, Booker's latest accomplishment comes as no surprise. In 75 games for the Longhorns, she has averaged 16.4 points and 3.8 assists. The talented sophomore has also been dangerous from three-point range, with a 35.5 shooting percentage. With Booker leading the offense, Texas has been hard to stop. Due to her play, Booker has added to her trophy case. Just a few months ago, she earned First Team All-America honors. The Longhorns star was also named the SEC Player of the Year for the second time. Now, she will get to show the world why she is one of the best at her position in the nation. The tournament, which will be held in Santiago, Chile, will last until July 6.

Longhorns women's basketball releases SEC schedule

Longhorns women's basketball releases SEC schedule Longhorns women's basketball reveals SEC slate With the women's college basketball season quickly approaching, expectations are high for the Texas Longhorns. After making it to the Final Four last season, they are in a great position to build on their success. Earlier this week, they were able to start planning for the season when their conference schedule was revealed. During the 2025-2026 campaign, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and LSU will all take a trip to Moody Center. The Longhorns will play eight games on the road and eight at home against SEC teams. This is the 17th season of the 16-game schedule for women's basketball. For the Longhorns, their home court has been where they thrived. Last season, Texas went 17-0 at home. At the Mooddy Center, Longhorns women's basketball has posted a 49-5 record. With a roster full of stars, that record should continue to improve. While the Longhorns have plenty to look forward to at home, they also have an exciting away conference schedule. They will go on the road to face LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Arkansas. That should be a good test for a team that has national championship aspirations. The regular season will wrap up with the 2026 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. It is set to include all 16 teams and begin on March 4. On March 8, a new champion will be crowned, and the Longhorns hope it is them. When the regular season begins, Texas will be led by Madison Booker and Rori Harmon. If they can once again make the most of their conference schedule, then they will have a memorable 2025-2026 campaign.
