LAHAD DATU: Police arrested two Indonesians in separate operations for possessing drugs on Wednesday. District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said, the suspects were detained following the Op Tapis conducted by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJND) of Lahad Datu Police Headquarters. Advertisement He said, the first suspect, a 23-year-old Indonesian was detained at the Reno Fajar area about 11am. 'Inspection on the suspect found a translucent plastic containing substance believed to be Syabu weighing 0.34 grams and an aluminium foil. 'The suspect was also tested positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine,' he said. According to Dzulbaharin, about 4.30pm on the same day, the BSJND team arrested a 21-year-old Indonesian at Kampung Puyut. He said the suspect was detained after the team found a translucent plastic containing substance believed to be Syabu weighing 0.18 grams and an aluminum foil in his possession. The suspect was tested negative for taking drugs. Four detained over drugs in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Four men were detained in several operations at Lahad Datu town for possessing and abusing drugs. District Acting Police Chief, Supt. Jimmy Panyau said those men aged between 32 and 45 were detained following the Op Tapis conducted by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division of Lahad Datu Police Headquarters. Jimmy said the first arrest involving a 45-year-old man was made at about 10.40am near Jalan Pantai. He said the result of inspection conducted on the man found a translucent packet containing 0.14 grams of substances believed to be Syabu. 'The suspect was also tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. The case would be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act (DDA) 1952,' he said. According to Jimmy, about 3.45pm, two men aged 32 and 34 were detained while wandering in suspicious behaviors at Kampung Puyut. He said following inspection on both men found one of them possessing two translucent packets containing substances believed to be Syabu weighing 0.28 grams and two aluminium foils. Urine tests conducted on both of them found one of the suspects positive of taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. Investigation of this case was conducted under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of DDA 1952. 'About 4.30pm, the team arrested a 40-year-old man who was in suspicious behavior at the roadside of Jalan Kastam Baru. 'Result of inspection on the suspect found a cigarette box containing 27 translucent plastic packets filled with substances believed to be Syabu weighing 5.51 grams,' said Jimmy. He said urine tests conducted on the suspect found he was positive of taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. The suspect also had two previous records related to drug cases. Filipino held, drugs seized in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A 30-year-old Filipino was arrested for alleged possession of ketamine and ecstacy worth RM17,524 on Monday. District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau said the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division detained the man during Ops Tapis at Kampung Pisang, Jalan Bakawali at 10.30pm. Jimmy said the suspect who did not have any identification document and identified as Filipino was found possessing ketamine weighing 13.12 grammes, estimated worth RM2,624. 'The suspect's arrest led to the seizure of 89.63 grammes of ecstacy pills estimated worth RM14,900. 'The team also seized RM537 in cash and a mobile phone,' he said. Duo held for drugs in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Two men, including a foreigner, were arrested for syabu. District Acting Police Chief Supt Jimmy Panyau said the duo were detained following the Op Tapis conducted by Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJND). He said the operation is among efforts to combat drug activities in the district. Advertisement Jimmy said in the first operation about 1pm on Wednesday, a 42-year-old foreigner was detained behind the shop in Taman Aman 3, Jalan Silam. 'The man was found possessing 30 packets of translucent plastic containing substances believed to be syabu weighing 5.55 grammes. 'The suspect also tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. The seizures were estimated worth RM610.50,' he said. The second suspect, a 31-year-old local, was detained at the security post in Jalan Segama. He said the suspect was in possession of 0.78 grammes of syabu, and tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. 'Both suspects are in our custody and investigations carried out under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. Trio held for drugs in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Three men were detained in three separate arrests for their involvement in drug-related activities on Monday. District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said the trio were detained by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJND) during the 'Ops Tapis'. He said the first suspect was detained in an operation at Kampung Panji. The Filipino man was arrested by the road side after police found 0.13 grammes of syabu in his possession. The suspect who did not have any identification document was detained for investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. 'The second arrest involved a 44-year-old local man who was detained near the first location. When inspected, the police found a folded red paper containing 0.26 grammes of syabu. 'The suspect also tested positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. He also had three previous criminal records,' he said, adding that the case would be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. The third suspect, a 22-year-old man was detained at the BSJND office. The suspect tested positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. Investigation is conducted under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
