Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi inaugurates exhibition in Lucknow to mark Ahilyabai Holkar's birth anniversary

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 29 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated a grand exhibition in Lucknow, organised under the 'Punyashlok' Pujya Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Tricentenary Year Memorial Campaign-2025. The Chief Minister described the life and contributions of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar to mark her birth anniversary. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has connected the entire nation with a new jewel from India's glorious past through this exhibition dedicated to Pujya Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. With the intent that more and more people can visit and pay their respects to such a revered Lok Mata, this exhibition has been organised not just here, but at every district headquarters, said CM Adityanath. Chief Minister Yogi said that the grand initiative will inspire the entire state and serve as a significant milestone in our collective journey toward national integration and innovative societal efforts. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed happiness that a Government Medical College in Auraiya would be named after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The UP chief minister slammed the previous Samajwadi Party state government for renaming a degree college in Auraiya. 'There was a degree college in Auraiya named after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The Samajwadi Party government had changed the name of that degree college. Today, I am happy to announce that in the same Auraiya, we will name the Government Medical College after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar', CM Yogi said. Last week, CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the National Seminar-2025 on 'Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development' on Thursday. The CM stated that achieving the country's goal of net zero by 2070 could not be fulfilled solely by the government but required the collective efforts of everyone. Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was born on 31 May 1725 in a Maratha Hindu family in the village of Chaundi, now in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar district. This year marks her 300th birth anniversary. (ANI)

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India],May 23 (ANI) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday promptly responded to a tragic drowning accident in Fatehpur district on Friday. Expressing deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the Chief Minister extended his sympathies to the bereaved. CM Yogi immediately directed the district administration officials to rush to the site and accelerate all relief efforts. Ensuring swift medical attention, the Chief Minister ordered that all injured persons be taken to nearby hospitals for proper treatment and wished them a speedy recovery. Officials from the district administration have been instructed to provide all necessary assistance and support to the affected families and oversee the relief operations on the ground. Meanwhile, earlier today, Adityanath expressed happiness that a Government Medical College in Auraiya would be named after Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. Proper medical treatment should be provided to the injured. Instructions have also been sent to officials to assess crop damage through surveys and send reports to the government so that further action can be taken. He further directed that in case of waterlogging, proper arrangements for drainage should be made on a priority basis. (ANI)

The CM stated that the task of achieving the country's goal of net zero by 2070 could not just be fulfilled at the government level but required the collective efforts of everyone. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the world that India will achieve the target of net zero by 2070. But the task of achieving this target is not just at the government level but through the collective efforts of all of us... Today, a national seminar has also been organised here regarding this program, after which the vision is how we can create harmony with nature and ensure sustainable development...' Yogi said addressing the people. Earlier on May 21, Yogi Adityanath reviewed the current status of COVID-19 in Uttar Pradesh in light of the emerging global and national concerns surrounding the latest JN.1 subvariant. The Chief Minister reassured the public that there is no immediate cause for concern in the state; however, he emphasised that, given the global context, vigilance and precaution remain essential. According to the official release, Chief Minister Adityanath noted that the Central government has issued no new advisory regarding COVID-19. Still, considering the rising number of JN.1 cases in Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, he stressed the need for continued surveillance in Uttar Pradesh. He instructed all medical colleges, district hospitals, and health units across the state to remain on high alert and be fully prepared to handle any potential emergency. (ANI)
