Prakasam SP receives complaints about fraudsters at PGRS

Ongole: District Superintendent of Police AR Damodar organised the weekly Public Grievance Redressal Programme (PGRS) at the district police office here on Monday to address citizen complaints. During the programme, SP Damodar and the police officers listened to complainants who arrived from various parts of the district. They engaged in face-to-face discussions with petitioners, understanding the background of their complaints, and assured them of a swift resolution within legal parameters. The SP instructed the concerned police station officers to conduct immediate investigations in accordance with the law and ensure speedy justice for the affected parties. The program received complaints regarding family disputes, harassment by husbands and in-laws, cheating, job fraud, land disputes, and other issues. Notable cases included a complaint from a Darsi mandal resident who was defrauded of Rs 1.80 lakh by someone from Duvvuru mandal, Kadapa district, who promised to sell a used tractor but later filed a false complaint against the victim. Another complainant from Giddaluru reported being cheated of Rs 5.50 lakh by a person who falsely promised municipal employment and housing for his son, subsequently threatening the victim when asked to return the money. The programme was attended by Women Police Station DSP Ramana Kumar, SC/ST Cell Inspector Durga Prasad, DTC Inspector Shamimulla, Traffic Inspector Pandu Rangarao, PGRS SI Janardan Rao, and other staff members.

Puttaparthi (Sri Sathya Sai district): District Collector T S Chetan emphasised that officials must ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution of public grievances, stating that petitioners approach the administration with high hopes. He directed all departmental officers to address the issues efficiently, leaving no room for dissatisfaction. The Collector was speaking during the Public Grievance Redressal Programme held at the Collectorate on Monday. Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, DRO Parthasarathi, Special Deputy Collector Suryanarayana, DRDA PD Narasayya, and DPO Samatha also participated in the programme. Officials received various petitions from the public during the session. During his address, Collector T.S. Chetan instructed officials to inspect overhead water tanks and ensure their cleanliness. He stressed the importance of providing safe drinking water and directed field-level inspections to avoid any shortcomings. He also warned that officials would be held accountable if hostels were found lacking in hygiene or if contaminated water was supplied. He directed mandatory visits to hostels, with inspections covering water facilities, tank cleaning, restrooms, pipelines, and kitchens to ensure they are functioning properly. The Collector emphasised that every petition must be thoroughly investigated in a transparent manner and resolved within the stipulated timeline, ensuring the petitioner is fully satisfied. He cautioned officials against delays beyond SLA (Service Level Agreement) or reopening of resolved cases, urging them to close all grievances conclusively. Petitions submitted during the session included issues related to land disputes, ration cards, housing site allocations, and pension approvals. In total, 234 petitions were received during the session, including 77 from Puttaparthi, 55 from Penukonda, 73 from Dharmavaram, and 29 from Kadiri. Officials from various departments, along with petitioners and stakeholders, actively participated in the event.

Ongole: Telugu Desam Party state vice-president and Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhana Rao inaugurated the Prajavani complaint box at the Kothapatnam Bus Stand centre here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he announced that they are setting up Prajavani complaint boxes at Kothapatnam Bus Stand centre, Addanki Bus Stand centre, and Rangarayudu Cheruvu in the town. He said that the public can bring their grievances and issues through urges and letters, and drop them in the Prajavani boxes. He assured that his office would try to resolve their grievances within 48 hours. He requested the public to utilise the service, along with the Public Grievance Redressal Programme being organised by the government.

Speaking at Public Grievance Redressal Programme on Monday at the Collectorate, the JC, alongside DRO Parthasarathi, Special Deputy Collector Suryanarayana, Ramasubbayya, and RDO Suvarna, received petitions from citizens across the stressed thorough field-level examination of each petition, urging resolutions within the stipulated timeframe to avoid delays or re-openings. He emphasised zero pendency beyond the Service Level Agreement, prioritising applicant contentment. Citizens from various mandals submitted grievances on issues like land disputes, ration card approvals, housing allotments, and pension sanctions. Notable petitions included S Venkata Ramudu from Nimmalakunta village, Dharmavaram mandal, a shadow puppetry artist, requesting to perform at Vinayaka Chavithi festival; Sriramappa from TD Palli village, Madakasira mandal, seeking an old-age pension; and M Manoshma Reddy from Bhadrapuram village, Kanaganapalli mandal, appealing for a hostel seat at Kasturba School for her daughter, citing her husband's mental instability and disappearance. A total of 172 petitions were received: 60 from Puttaparthi, 44 from Penukonda, 41 from Dharmavaram, and 27 from Kadiri. Kumar reiterated the administration's commitment to resolving these grievances efficiently to meet public expectations.

Tadipatri: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar V on Monday instructed officials to visit the field and address petitions submitted through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS). The directive came during the 'Praja Samasya Parishkara Vedika' (Public Grievance Redressal Programme) held at the municipal office meeting hall in Tadipatri on Monday. The Collector, along with Tadipatri MLA JC Asmith Reddy, personally received petitions from the public. Officials including Joint Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma, DRO A Malola, Forest Settlement Officer G Ramakrishna Reddy, Deputy Collectors Rammohan and Mallikarjuna, and various department heads participated in the programme. A total of 364 petitions were received. Speaking at the event, Collector Dr Vinod Kumar emphasized that officials must not only resolve petitions but also conduct field inspections for accurate solutions. He noted that 70-80% of the petiti pal issues. The Collector mentioned that petitions received during his field visits and at his chamber in the district headquarters are also forwarded to the PGRS Tehsildar. A new system is now in place to identify repeated petitions using the Aadhaar number of applicants, with prior submissions being tracked via pink paper printouts. He further instructed that district officials must visit the field at least once a week and provide high-quality solutions. PGRS endorsements must be issued and uploaded on the PGRS website. These should then be printed, posted, and shared via WhatsApp to applicants and relevant village-level officials. Only frequently used phone numbers should be collected at the time of petition submission. During the event, local journalists submitted a petition to the Collector requesting the establishment of a Press Club in Tadipatri, allocation of housing plots, and free education for their children. Prominent attendees included Anantapur RDO Keshava Naidu, ZP Deputy CEORamasubbaiah, DCO Arunakumari, RTC RM Sumanth, DM&HO Dr. E.B. Devi, PD Housing Shailaja, CPO Ashok Kumar, Survey AD Rupal Naik, and officials from various departments such as Health, Revenue, Education, ICDS, DWMA, Mines, BC Welfare, andMunicipal Administration.
