MPs dont need permission to walk on streets of Delhi: Ramgopal Yadav
Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament (MP) Ramgopal Yadav stated that the Members of Parliament donot need the permission to walk on the streets of Delh as the INDIA bloc MP'started their march from Parliament to Election Commisison to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar and allegations of "voter fraud" in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Yadav told ANI on Monday, "MPs dont need permission to walk on the streets of Delhi... If there is any kind of threat from the MPs coming out on the roads, then the system is useless..." RJD MP Manoj Jha told ANI, "... If you cannot meet MPs citing the excuse of space, then that in itself is a comment on what kind of work you are doing... This (SIR) is a fraud; you are not providing classified data. Despite the Supreme Court's instructions, your (Election Commission) stubbornness is not going away..." Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav told ANI, "Questions are being raised on our democracy. In UP, by-elections were held on 10 Vidhan Sabha seats; not only were votes stolen, but booths were captured. Why didn't the Election Commission take action against the officers who were working on orders of the state government." BJP MP Jagdambika Pal on Monday criticised the INDIA bloc MPs over their march. He also reteriated the stand of the Election Commisison asking Rahul Gandhi , who is leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, to submit under oath his allegations of "vote theft" in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to ANI, Pal said,"They have not been allowing the House to function from the day first... The way Rahul Gandhi is making allegations against the Election Commission, the Election Commission is asking for evidence, saying If you have any proof, show it." Earlier today, security was tightened and barricades put up outside the Transport Bhawan in view of the March. Yogi Adityanath slams SP leader's comment on IAF wing commander Vyomika Singh: ‘Grave insult'
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath slammed Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav for alleging that Madhya Pradesh BJP minister Vijay Shah spared IAF wing commander Vyomika Singh from abuse as he did not know her caste. The SP leader was criticising the BJP minister for his derogatory comment on Indian Army colonel Sofiya Qureshi which drew widespread ire resulting in the registration of an FIR against Shah on the order of the Madhya Pradesh high court. The minister had apologised for his comment. Condemning the SP leader, Adityanath said that the armed forces' uniform is not seen through 'casteist' eyes as every soldier does 'Rashtradharma' (duty towards the nation) and is neither a representative of any caste nor of a religion. 'The Samajwadi Party's national general secretary's act of binding a brave daughter within the ambit of caste is not only a display of his party's narrow-mindedness but is also a grave insult to the valour of the army and the country's identity,' the chief minister wrote in Hindi on X. 'This is the same mentality which dares to divide even patriotism in the name of appeasement and vote bank politics. The public will once again respond to this distorted casteist thinking,' Adityanath added. 'These people (BJP) are taking out the Tiranga Yatra... They do everything only for elections. What is the need to take out the Tiranga Yatra? If there is a need then the whole country should be taken into confidence, all the political parties should be taken into confidence,' he said. So all three were from PDA (Picchda, dalit, Alpsankhyak or Backwards, dalits and minorities). One was abused as she was a Muslim. The other was spared thinking that she was a Rajput... and there was no information (to them) about Bharti.' Meanwhile, visuals from ANI showed the SP party office in Lucknow sporting banners with words, 'Sofiya ka apmaan, desh ka apmaan hai. BJP desh se maafi maange (Insulting Sofia is an insult to the country. BJP should apologize to the country).'

SP to raise issues of ‘targeted social media campaigns' at all-party meet on Pahalgam attack
The Samajwadi Party (SP), which will participate in the all-party meeting called by the Centre over the Pahalgam attack on Thursday, will flag to the government the 'targeted social media campaigns' and 'attempts of political leaders on social media to spew venom in society'. SP principal general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP, Ramgopal Yadav will be the party's representative at the meeting. Speaking to reporters in Lucknow, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said no party should look to reap political benefits from such incidents. 'It is the responsibility of the Centre to ensure fake news or those likely to pose a threat to the internal and border security of the country do not make the rounds on social media,' he said. Calling the government to take action against the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack, Akhilesh said terrorists have no religion. 'Their purpose is only to create fear, stall the lives of people and create trouble for the country,' he said. Akhilesh also extended support to the decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) and said, 'More stringent decisions must be taken… and they need to be implemented strictly. It must not be merely a statement,' he said. In an apparent reference to the CCS' decision to put the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance, Akhilesh said, 'Do we have arrangements to stop the flow of water (to Pakistan)? It is a long process.'
