Vijayawada student secures 10th rank in JEE
VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada student Vadlamudi Lokesh secured the All India 10th rank in the JEE (Advanced) 2025, emerging as the State topper. The results were declared by IIT Kanpur on Monday for the exam conducted on May 18. Lokesh, who appeared from the IIT Hyderabad zone, scored 317 marks, placing him in the prestigious top 10 of the Common Rank List (CRL). Son of Venkaiah Naidu, an employee at a Dutch-based NGO, and Sailaja, a homemaker, Lokesh hails from Kammavaripalem in Nellore district but has been residing in Vijayawada. His early education was diverse and international, he studied Classes 1 to 3 in Ethiopia before moving back to India. He joined Nalanda School in Vijayawada for Class 4, followed by Little Angels School in Vizag for Classes 5 and 6. Returning to Vijayawada, he joined the Narayana school- Kanuru Branch's IIT-focused program and later pursued his intermediate education at Narayana N-120 Campus, Kanuru.

JEE results: IIT-H zone's strong showing
HYDERABAD: Two candidates from the IIT-Hyderabad zone made it to the top 10 list in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Advanced 2025, the results of which were announced on Monday. The examination, conducted by IIT-Kanpur, was held on May 18. Arnav Singh achieved an All India Rank (AIR) of 9 in the Common Rank List (CRL) with a score of 319, while Vadlamudi Lokesh secured the 10th position with a score of 317. Dharmana Gyana Rutvik Sai achieved 18th rank, just ahead of Vangala Ajay Reddy (19) and Avanaganti Anirudh Reddy (20). Among female candidates from the zone, Korikana Rasagnya was the highest-ranked, securing 78th position in the CRL.

JEE Advanced 2025: 2 TG students score perfect 100 percentile
Hyderabad: Two students from Telangana, Arnav Singh and Vadlamudi Lokesh, have scored a perfect 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, the results of which were declared on Monday. A total of 1,80,422 students appeared in both papers of IIT-JEE Advanced, of which 54,378 qualified across the country. Out of the total qualified candidates, 9,404 are females and 44,974 boys. According to the results released by IIT Kanpur this year, Telangana students have done remarkable well, particularly under IIT Hyderabad zone, with around 12,946 students qualifying. Of them, Arnav Singh and Vadlamudi Lokesh bagged positions in the top 10 list and as many as 23 candidates from the state are among the top 100 rank holders. The Top five All India Rank(AIR) holders in the IIT-Hyderabad zone --- comprising Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu states --- are Arnav Singh (secured AIR 9), Vadlamudi Lokesh ( AIR 10), Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai (18), Vangala Ajay Reddy (19) and Avanaganti Anirudh Reddy (20). Korikana Rasagnya secured the fourth position among female candidates, with an AIR of 78. Toppers share their secrets Some of the toppers shared their study methods that led to their success. Vadlamudi Lokesh, who secured AIR 10 rank in JEE Advanced, said, 'I displayed an unwavering focus throughout the last three years and that helped me to bag the 10th position. I dedicated my whole concentration to cracking JEE Mains and Advanced. 'Candidates should be consistent. Also, they should take small steps and trust the process of growing'. He aims to pursue a B Tech in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Bombay. Arnav Singh, who secured AIR 9 rank in JEE Advanced, said, 'I had expected to be in the top 20 but not in the top 10th list; I did not think that I would secure the ninth position. This has brought a pleasant surprise to me. Regarding preparation, he said, "If you have proper clarity in basic concepts and proper fundamental ideas about the subject, it will help you to secure good marks in any competitive examination.'

IIT Hyderabad zone students secure top ranks in JEE advanced 2025 results
Image used for representative purpose only HYDERABAD: Five of the top 20 rankers in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025, the results of which were released on Monday, are from the IIT Hyderabad zone, which includes students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The zone topper is Arnav Singh, who secured an all-India 9th rank, followed by Vadlamudi Lokesh with the 10th rank. The other three students in the top 20 are Dharmana Gnana Rutvik Sai, who secured the 18th rank; Vangala Ajay Reddy, who stood 19th; and Avanaganti Anirudh Reddy, who secured the 20th position. The state also has several category toppers. Ajay is the all-India topper in the General-EWS category, while Rutvik leads in the OBC-NCL category. Korikana Rasagnya, who secured the 78th rank, is the female topper from the state. Many students who achieved top ranks in other zones are also from corporate colleges such as Narayana Group and Sri Chaitanya Group, which have their main campuses in the Telugu states. From the IIT Hyderabad zone, there are 23 students in the top 100, 57 in the top 200, and 78 in the top 300. A total of 12,946 candidates from the zone qualified in the examination.
